Porky is really one of the most evil video game antagonists out there. At the same time, you can't help but feel a bit bad for him. He was just a kid who only ever just wanted a friend in Ness, but he got roped into Happy Happyism and corrupted by the Mani Mani Statue and drew out the absolute darkest darkness within him. Then he's made immortal through frequent time travel (Dr. Andonuts mentions in Mother 2 that time travel wreaks havoc on living bodies) and has aged to the point his body (seemingly) can't move without his Spider Mech. Then he gets trapped in the Absolutely Safe Capsule. When you think about where he came from: a lonely little kid from an abusive household, you have to wonder if he really deserved all that, or if this was just always how he was deep down and the Mani Mani Statue drew it out of him.
What I always liked about how Monkey's Delivery Service is in this is because it was used in Earthbound 64. It makes me think Porky as a Master of time and space maybe even saw that world. Has he been to Mother 1 timeline even? Who knows? What did Porky do..?
Everytime i hear monkey delivery service it genuinely makes me have so much hatred towards porky because it reminds me of what his actions did towards salsa and then everyone else and it feels like hes taunting you with that little part of the song
I always hated how it starts with the potential to be one of the greatest final boss fight themes (even if it's not the final boss, Porky was the big bad in the game) and then it just goes into this more calmer, softer part that rips away the ability to reach its true potential.
Strangely one of the best Nintendo Villians of all time. His presence is known very quickly, severely impacting everyone, and yet we only meet him in the last hour of the game. Before, we had only known the pigmasks, their goals, Fassad, and the Masked Man. Porky, however, we only meet at the very end. He’s a villian that has changed absolutely everything, and did it all from the safety of his army.
