      They should've just made Quintana step aside. He's failed agaibst Froome too many times, but Landa showed great promise last year. He would've been Froome's biggest competitor if they weren't on the same thing

      Could be mistaking though

    I was already fond of Landa but now i'm a fan. Good job!
    One thing that I love about this and the Contador videos is that it really helps display the difference in strength the pro world is in - not to knock you at all Lloydy. When they're racing each other, it's hard to tell how fast they're going, but put them next to not a mere mortal but even a former pro athelete and watch them ride completely within themselves - it really defines that speed and strength.
    .....man i wanna go climb some hills now!!

      +Brad Taylor: Me too. Landa seems intelligent but down-to-earth. In contrast to Contador's behaviour in the other video with the sadly missed Matt, also not ONE OUNCE of arrogance from Mikel, or looking like he was talking down to Dan, or anyone at home viewing. I really wish him well for that alone.

    • @MVProfits
      @MVProfits 6 лет назад

      Contador had great interactions with Matt. You saw arrogant behavior in those vids? His attack was just epic and more in fun than anything. Like if Landa couldn't beat Dan by an impossible margin.

      +nigel phillips: absolutely agree with you. Seems really sound. Also, I was gladdened to see that he hadn't bought into the extremely high cadence hysteria which has gripped the cycling world. Yes, the bikes of the '80s DID need lower gears, but looking at a lot of today's riders, I really feel they are revving too fast. There seems to be a growing general consensus that *your body* decides what's the most efficient gear in any situation, yet people get carried away on a sea of illusion that you necessarily have to do the latest thing.
      Landa doesn't pedal at a very high cadence, because it doesn't suit him to. Good for him!

    You can hear that Orbea Ebike motor, sounds just like one of those motorbikes you see in the grand tours 😉

    It's great to meet the man behind the thousands of frustrated-Landa faces. I hope he hasn't screwed himself by going to Movistar. Hopefully he has a happy July this year.

    Brilliant video... Lloyd vs Landa. Though you do wonder how much of an advantage Lloydy got from lugging that heavy e road bike up the climbs compared to Mikael who is still tearing past him. Was looking forward to seeing Dan grovel like Matt did when he rode with Alberto... maybe it shows that you should never meet your heros cause they will make you cry and insult you! Love Landas responce to the TdF question... we have many options (yes but don't you wanna win the TdF?!) keep it up boys!

    He said for non-professionals to train, they should train light. Would not training heavier, or lighter early on and then heavier later, be a great way to build endurance? Or is it something you should do only once you have peaked in your current training regimen?

    Damn, he kept up like nothing if Landa wanted he would have gone ahead w/o problem. This guy is the best climber in the world right now

      Global Cycling Network my take away is doing 3 or 4 minute intervals entering threshold, then recovering and repeating. I’ve heard this type of info before but i was ready to hear it this time for some reason.

    What did you think of riding the orbea gain? Can’t find any good reviews on it anywhere.
    I’m looking to get started in the cycling world (newbie) and live in a very hilly area. Does the assist take over too much that you’re not feeling the strain in the hills? If starting on an ebike if a year or two later when I feel I don’t need the assist any more that I’ll see a huge difference?

      True but more painful is seeing that Strava can't control who scored the lowest time in a segment while riding an E-bike.
