Looking to get a new Garmin watch? In this review, I share my experience with the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music after using it for 3 months. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music features the ability to store 500 songs directly on the watch, advanced sleep tracking, and heart rate monitoring. All that for less than $300 on Amazon!
The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is almost exactly the same as the Garmin Vivoactive 3, but with two main differences. The Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music looks different and has the ability to store music directly on the watch. This allows you to listen to music without your phone.
Pros of the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music:
• Great looking design that is light weight and waterproof.
• The display is easy to read in direct sunlight, has great looking color, and can display a lot of data.
• Packed with features such as heart rate monitoring, receive phone notifications, weather, store music directly on the watch, and advanced sleep tracking.
• Watch band is easy to remove and replace.
• Watch band seems to be high quality and is comfortable.
• Good connectivity with phone and the Garmin Connect app.
• I found the activity and sleep tracking to be fairly accurate.
Cons of the Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music:
• Battery life lasts less than 7 days.
• Music can only be uploaded via a Mac or PC computer.
• Responding to text messages can only be done when connected to Android phone.
• Only one size watch band. This could be a problem for people with larger wrists.

Enjoyed your review. Have ordered VA3, waiting for it. I have gone through many forums of VA3 users online and many of them have stated high concerns about the quick and unpredictable draining of battery. Despite all the battery issues, garmin has also released new firmware to fix many issues with battery performance being listed. Your review is less than a month old and as i believe, you should already have updated your VA3 firmware to latest. Kindly let me know if you have noticed any battery performance or other activity related upgrades.

Great review. I'm looking for a replacement of my vivosmart HR that is dead. My wife and my doughter both have garmin watches so I'd like to stay in the garmin ecosystem. My question is what about Connect IQ apps. As I'm musician I'd love to have a vibrating metrome app as well as a tuner (if the watch has a microphone). So I'm hesitating a bit between this one and Galaxy watch ou Tipwatch pro. Any experience could help ...
Is the WIFI only for updating your fitness and work out info or can you also use it to connect to the internet to get data for apps that use data like Weather Apps and Map Apps that need to download Map info?

I have this watch it's fantastic. I don't carry my phone when I run so I love being able to store music. Plus I can still stop for a coffee and pay for it with nothing more then a tap of my watch. Couldn't recommend anything better

How long do I have to charge the VA3 before I it switch on after unpacking. I've been charging for 3 hrs, n there is no indication that it's charging n it doesn't even switch on.

Hello! You shouldn't have to charge the watch before it will turn on. You may have received a defective unit. I recommend contacting Garmin support if you still can't turn it on. They are very helpful! Thanks for watching

Quick question, at the start of your review the device was on 25% battery, I know it wasn't live for the whole review, and at the end the battery was showing 17%. Thank you for your kind words about my review. That was probably around 30 minutes of time on the battery. Keep in mind that was with me using the watch the whole time and the brightness was set to 100%. The screen is perfectly usable at 10% or 20% brightness. Battery life is a huge concern of mine as well. Overall I have found that the battery last ~5.5 days for me and I consider myself a heavy user. I plan on doing another video that will be all about the battery life. Let me know if you have any other questions. I think you've answered all my questions, they were all well covered in your video. Just got hold of my Vivo, but I had problems getting it to Pair, resetting it 3 times got it in the end. I think I should have paid more attention to the size of the Strap though, it just about fits my wrist.Thanks for replying, just subbed you.

Help, how do you like your new watch? It's really up to you, I have never used one and never had any big, noticeable scratches. It is possible though and the vivoactice 3 music has no bezel so there is almost no protection.
Ahhh I see. I think I'm going to have a screen protector. I hope I can find one here in The Philippines.
Since I easily sweat a lot. And just for making the watch keep looking as brand new. So far the VA3 is so good. It's my first smartwatch actually. And I love it.

WARNING FOR BUYERS:
the screen/display quality on that watch is shockingly bad!!! My wife returned it in 5 min. after opening the box. Why do they offer color display as you can barely see colors so washed out it is??? Contrast like watches from 10 years ago or toys for little kids, resolution 220x220 - you can literally see all the squares from 0.5m distance - come on people its 2019!!!! They should be lawsuit for selling this crap for such a money....

It's because of the transflective display which has huge advantages over OLED or IPS screens. It's easy to read in direct sunlight and doesn't need. So the battery life is much better than OLED, LCD...
