My husband went to Haiti to help. He came back telling me he witnessed a man pulled out of his vehicle and murdered as revenge because he caused a traffic accident. This is why my husband was warned to go as fast as possible to get away if he gets into an accident. Their culture is very different. I shop at Korean markets where the store owners hire, then teach the Salvadoran, Guatemalan, and Honduran workers "conversational" Korean! However, these same store owners don't impress upon their workers to take ESL classes at night, so they can learn the language and better service the predominately English-speaking customers. I’m live in Springfield. It’s dangerous to drive downtown. I no longer go to my local Walmart. The parking lot is trashed with ghetto vehicles, trash and I no longer feel safe. I worry about my safety and if their not vaccinated, who knows what diseases they have. I also have seen the DMV give them Drivers license and require testing. They get their picture taken and give them a license. I don’t see our small town surviving. Sadly I’m going to need to plan on trying to sell my house and move. I fear no one will ever want to buy it and I’ll be stuck.
