Peter Comeau is a walking Hi-Fi industry icon.
In this interview with Paul Sechi, Peter is incredibly humble when he explains sonic consistency, material science, measurements, etc. Many "directors" of acoustic design, chief product officers, senior engineers, etc., whatever they call themselves typically have their CAD jockey generate a design and throw it to the OEMs and let them figure it out. In contrast, Peter delves directly into the product down to micron levels to understand what's really happening and then commands a course correction as needed.
Peter's applaudable bold move to publically admit using his ears to determine the final sound quality is what real designers do, and using the frequency response to identify a performance/character anomaly is the true purpose. Peter readily admits his designs are a joint collaboration of the team at IAG giving each section of the team credit. Kudos to Peter a gentleman for real.
