- Here are some videos taken in March 2024, featuring the MTA NYC Subway - in particular, the Culver Line! CBTC is finally becoming active on some parts of the Culver Line for passenger service. Specifically, the southbound local track (B1) now has CBTC enabled between Kings Highway station and West 8th St station. Trains have yet to operate under Automatic Train Operation (ATO); they currently operate under manual Automatic Train Protection (ATPM). Regardless, the activation of CBTC is a good step forward in the project to bring the technology to the Culver Line between Church Ave station and West 8th St station!
Whenever 6th Avenue/63rd Street CBTC gets funded and later completed, the (F) line would be under CBTC territory from Jamaica-179th Street down to West 8th Street-New York Aquarium. Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue won't be CBTC till later on due to R68/A's being relegated to the (N) after the R211 order is done.
What about the (Q)?
@@ENYC The (Q) won't be getting any form of CBTC till the BMT Broadway Line is converted in the future.
Ahh, okay. I meant to ask, what do you think the (Q)'s fleet assignment will be? You stated that the (N) will be R68/As.@@BrIaNMeRcY1022
Finally Cbtc is active on the culver line hopefully it reduces delays on the f line
Not gonna happen. Most of the delays start at Church ave north and in queens coming southbound
Cool catch
Don’t get to excited It’s only temporary on weekends
Only because they're still testing it on the line, soon enough, they'll be using it full time.
Woah woah my culver line
Why do the speedometers turn off in cbtc. They should just leave em on
Because the speed is shown on the CBTC screen instead.
There no platform barrier at W 8 St at all MTA lied & put on Morgan Av instead 😂.
that's because of the reroutes of the B/D lines which uses 75 footers vs 60 footers.
When is Culver Line Kings Highway to Church CBTC getting activated?
Bmt culver cbtc is now uncensored
cool!
