      @@rkvaranasi A water booster pump is a pump that functions to push water from a place and distribute it by increasing the power of the water flow. Without this tool, perhaps the water in your house will not flow as expected when it has to be distributed to various needs at the same time.
      What you need to know is: that the booster pump only functions to encourage water flow and cannot suck water.
      And at home, it is usually used to encourage the flow of water from a reservoir tank to distribution points.
      Please google it for the further info.

    Actually, there is a significant pressure loss from the public distributor till his faucet. And that may mean loosing most of the original pressure depending on how long is his piping and how many/what are the connections & fittings used in it.
    With that homemade installation, he "brought" the original pressure from the public distributor right before his faucet.
    When the faucet is closed, all his private piping is gradually pressure-equalized and estabilizes with the distributor pressure (there is no pressure loss since there is no flow). Being the plastic bottles right before the faucet, he will have the maximum pressure at the time he opens it - and for a certain amount of time, depending on the flow rate and the storaging volume of the bottles set, the tank or whatever is the confined volume provided in that position.
    NOW: ABOUT THIS "AMOUNT OF TIME" I MENTIONED ABOVE
    The guy is smart. Check out at the end of the video that he very quickly closes the faucet immediately after noticing that the bottles are getting empty of water.
    In the next moment the water pressure at the faucet would be drastically reduced (just because he would no longer have that "pressure booster" effect).
    Hope it helps.
    😉🙂👌🏻

      Nah, I don't think that's what's happening here. We don't see the water levels in the bottles significantly decrease when he fills the bucket. There's one part of the video where they act like that, when he's rapidly turning it on and off, but otherwise it doesn't. When the kid turns it on at the end, it starts weaker and then comes up to pressure, and the water levels in the bottles don't change. He's got it hooked up to a pump somewhere.

    • @weiryan5413

      He should buy a giant tank on the roof. The man who bought a tank or pump is not stupid😀

  • @sonnygoulette675
    @sonnygoulette675 7 месяцев назад +132

    This is impossible. It doesn't matter how you alter the line near the faucet. Something would have to push the water at it's source in order to increase the pressure permanently. This just uses the trapped air in the bottles to give a momentary burst. No amount of help at the receiving end can increase the volume of water that is delivered through the pipe originally. Thus, in a few moments, the flow will return to its original state. You would have to have a large tank that fills up, and then a pump that feeds the water from the tank. Having said that, there would be no need for the bottles, because the tank and pump would already increase the pressure. If you're still unconvinced, ask yourself one question. If there is only 30-35 lbs of pressure coming through the water meter, and only a certain volume of water per minute coming out of the faucet, where does the extra water come from to sustain the boosted pressure? You could, however, boost the pressure by nippling down the spout where the water comes out. It would be the same effect as putting a spray nozzle on the end of a garden hose. The smaller the hole where the water comes out, the greater the pressure. Something with half the diameter of the spout would significantly increase the pressure.

      Клей для пластиковых труб, а смысл бутылок в том, что в начале подачи они заполняются, по максимуму сжимая воздух, (в идеале его бы вообще спустить через кран Маевского). Затем давление в подающей трубе падает и выше уровня воды в бутылках создается, разрежение, которое выполняет роль подсасывающего насоса

    This solves the problem of flow rate, not pressure.
    Your pipes from the source is too small, so, at the start the pressure is high, but as the water flows fast, the resistance of the small piping to source slows down the flow, reducing pressure.
    The water bottles add a reservoir of pressurised water to the system. Once they are empty though, your pressure will drop once again...

    The bottles only give a temporary boost. Once the pressure in them equalizes with the source pressure the flow will revert back to previous line pressure.
    I don't understand the branch connections with the main pipe though. I've seen this done before and they were all hooked up with only one end of the bottle bank.

      The reason there is connection to the main supply... it is connected to waterpump... this is hoax... i think they should show it with only one continous connection from supply-pet bottle-to faucet...

    • @lucasbrelivet5238
      @lucasbrelivet5238 7 месяцев назад +3

      This doesn't even give a temporary boost. The bottle is already at the same pressure as the source since it's filled by that source.

    • @joewoodchuck3824
      @joewoodchuck3824 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@lucasbrelivet5238 That's a misstatement. The extra reservoir comes up to line pressure when the water flow stops, or peak pressure when a well pump runs. That pressure is (briefly) released when the water flows again. In fact that's how a well pressure tank works, but being so much larger it holds pressure longer and helps to even out pump surges when it runs.
      Ever notice the temporarily higher flow from a water hose at first when you operate a hand sprinkler/nozzle? In the case of hose however it stores pressure with the aid of the hose elasticity.

    • @lucasbrelivet5238
      @lucasbrelivet5238 7 месяцев назад

      @joewoodchuck3824 I think the hose thing is because the viscosity causes pressure loss when the water is flowing, but when it's closed, the water builds up, and the pressure reaches equilibrium.
      So you're right, if he has long pipes that cause pressure loss due to viscosity, the bottles would help increase the pressure a bit for a short time after opening the faucet. Same if his pump works intermittently. But certainly not to the extent shown here.

    After reading some comments on this I can recall a house that had a water heater fire that we as the plumbing contractor figured out a helpful solution starting from the meter and because the pvc plumbing was compromised from the fire we replaced everything we could starting from scratch. I already had experience using 45 degree bends as opposed to the 90s so there’s less resistance in the bends. But we had started using the method when installing wastewater lines. We were into a major infrastructure project in several small communities that were switching from septic tanks to city waste facility. We became very popular with using the 45s there so why not redo the whole system in this customers basement. When we completed the project in the home there wasn’t any more problems with someone in the shower on the 3rd floor getting scalded because someone flushed a toilet elsewhere in the house. And we all have been scalded or frozen out because someone else had turned a faucet on. Hope my suggestion of using 45s helps some viewers too

    This is temporary. It all primarily depends on the volume of water tank at the first place. The bigger the tank is the higher the flow of water down the tap is. Firstly, the method may give you instant water pressure for a while, and then it'll get back to its original low pressure. Secondly, the bottles and the silicon joints wouldn't sustain long to absorb the water pressure and these will suddenly loosen up at one point.

    • @johnh539
      @johnh539 5 месяцев назад

      1) the sealant is no more likely to fail than any other part of the plumbing as it is made by the same method as the rest.
      2) The water level in his bottles did not drop even though he ran his water hard.
      His problem is not low pressure witch is clearly verry high his problem is actually pipe drag due to using too narrow pipe over too long a reach. Thus this may behave as you suggest if it was pressure but it is still a brilliant solution for people who must fund their own "Spur" from the mains, witch here in the UK for example is the law, and that can cost a fortune if you are a long way from the mains.(Note. pipe drag is a scale thig the longer the reach the bigger the diameter needs to be for a given volume of water or till it stops happening, that's what building standards are for).
      Obviously it is the idear that is important not his exact method.
      E.G. I would recommend housing the bottles. the sun will quickly degrade non UV protected plastic, and as a relatively low flow part of the system it( the "Tanks/bottles") would be the first place to freeze in could conditions.
