Which is what Yana Toboso was hinting at, anyone could get away with almost anything those times as it was hard to figure out who had done it (since they weren't as smart those days) and we didn't have technology to help either. I get everyone is getting worked up when people say they love Grell because he is somewhat based on a killer, but those people probably mean the character himself, not Jack the ripper. Please stop nit picking at Yana Toboso's work just because a character is based on something historical and everyone seems to love the character Grell. I believe Yana Toboso's intentions were not to get people to love the woman either. It was to add drama and show that, things were way harder those times, and to add to that, he made Grell into a Grim reaper to show that this killer was unable to be caught because he was tricky as if he was never actually there.
