It looks great, however the beach waves seem a little CRAZY to me !!!!!!!!!! isnt it true? this beach is famous for windsurfing !!!!!!!
I can't comment on the windsurfing however there was said to be a hurricane passing which caused 15 foot waves when we were at the beach. Those waves aren't typical at all. Thanks for your comment ✌🏽

Does this resort have a nice beach where you can get in the water and do some snorkeling as well?
I don't believe so as the waves were pretty rough while I was there. Perhaps an excursion is available elsewhere
Does the place have a bar pool like Riu palace and bambú?

It's not big at all and pretty easy to get around. Keep in mind that this Riu Palace property is connected to 3 other Riu's. Overall, it's a pretty big footprint
How was the food?! Most resorts that I been too in the DR the food sucked
The food was pretty decent at Riu Bambu. I can imagine it's a couple notches better at Macao
Going next week in RIU bamboo. Can I get international brand whiskey in RIU bamboo bar? What international brand they have please?
Apologies for the late response. You've probably already gone and had an amazing time @ Riu Bambu. They didn't have any premium liquor/whiskey @ the Bambu from what I remember. How was your stay ?

I heard that when you stay at a palace you can use the other rius next door
You can use the other Riu resorts pools and amenities however I'm not clear if you can drink and eat at the other locations. I'll follow up with a definite answer

Decent video, although you should have perhaps tried to show some of the rooms. One minor criticism….right at the start you
called it The ma-caw. It’s The ma-CAW-o. Even to pronounce it ma-COW is closer !! Folks need to know how to say their resort’s name ! Anyway the old girl looks great ! May check it out ! Haven’t been to that complex since 2016.
I’ve stayed a least twice at all but the Naiboa (pr. Na-ee-BOW-aw). Accent on the upper case.
Last three visits were to the Bavaro (pr. BAW-vaw-row) which we deemed the best of the five at that time.
But that was eight years ago this new year. At that time I ranked them as follows
1 Bavaro, 2 Macao, Bambu and PC Palace sharing 3rd place, Naiboa last place as it’s not on the beach.
Food at all was decent, with Bavaro best overall. Don’t forget these ratings are pretty stale. Do your research !
Macao was always considered ‘the flagship’ so maybe it will regain number one spot following the overhaul.

This was 2 days after they re opened after renovations so they didn't have a lot of guests yet. Also it was very early in the morning. Thanks for your comment ✌🏽
This hotel is 77+, not just 18+- this should be by all means disclosed everywhere. This hotel is not a Palace category as it does not have the expected services, food and drinks that the RIU Palace entails, which you paid for, because you anticipated based on your previous, multiple trips to the Palace. Last but not least, Destination Services( Non- services as proven by me and others) , the free transportation paid for by the hotel, will scam you and make you pay for a taxi($40 for 2 pp) when you have the free shuttle which you paid for booked, reserved, and confirmed!!! In 1word- save your time and money and do not go to this hotel or the republic it is in. Need 3 more pages and at least 3 hours more to depict at least some of the reality there. Never again!
