"Write neat and tidy so you don't annoy yourself later." 😂 That would be me. I've been using this notebook method for a while and it's very helpful. I appreciate the other ideas and tips!
THIS IS THE BEST LEARNING JAPANESE CHANNEL I'VE EVER SEEN, I discovered by instagram... The quality and explanation is very nice and smooth :') Btw, I have a little question, I' ve learnt hiragana and katakana on my own, I'm introducing myself to kanji using the book "Remembering the Kanji" of James Heisig, but do u recommend me to continue learning kanji understanding it with my native vocabulary (Spanish) before to expose myself to the vocabulary, grammar and other subjects of japanese? Really aprecciate if you answer me... Thanks for doing this channel and I wish you the best on your proyects! Greetings from Chile
I came to the comment section expecting everyone to ignore what she had to say and only focus on how drop dead GORGEOUS this woman is. I must say, I am impressed and puzzled, you viewers of bite sized Japanese, give me hope for our future. That future however, does not include me, so let me just say: OMFG Weeee-Yuuuuu Weeee-Yuuuu Weeeee 🧠 🔫 🫠 ❤️❤️❤️💜💜💜 (spins around on the floor) .... (Sighs) ... I have no words to even begin to describe how mind numbingly beautiful you are. I'll try not to disgrace your honorable comment section with comments likes these in the future. 🙏 (Bows and backs out of the room with his hands in front of his groin)
I have a notebook where I dedicate one whole page to every kanji. I write the stroke order, the on'yomi, the kun'yomi and any other multiple readings, and I wrote examples (Like for 大, I know it's read as おお-きい as an adjective, but how would I remember that it's present in the word for "university", 大学? So I write it down). This makes each page take a while to complete and it's not easy to remember many kanji at once. I'm wondering if I should switch to your method, and only write the kanji and a few readings, but I'm scared I'll forget examples that use said kanji. Plus, what about multiple meanings? It's all very complicated 😭 I personally don't feel comfortable having so many kanji without enough info, but it's true that this method is much better for remembering... Maybe I'll have two notebooks...
my question as far as memorization is - I understand reviewing things frequently until you think you have memorized the word, but as you continue on and memorize more and more words, unless you are having all sorts of frequent conversations using the words you have previously memorized, wouldn’t you forgot the old words you reviewed? I’m not sure if that makes sense?
