*There are a lot reasons why this chapter was great.* *+* Urakara Vs Bakugo fight as a whole. *+* Urakara's reason to become a hero. *+* Aizawa calling out the public's BS about fighting a girl and defending Bakugo at the same time. *+* Deku roasting Endeveour. *+* Bakugou showing actual respect towards his opponents. *+* It's kinda jarring that even his own classmates called Bakugou because he fought a girl.

You noticed something rather important that you may not have realized the entire significance of. When Bakugo called her by name, well I won't go into Japanese culture, but basically he's acknowledged her. He only calls people by name if he respects them. So in that fight, she earned his respect. Oh and...make sure tissues are nearby for the next episode.
"I definitely wouldn't call that girl frail..." I love this episode because it is such a huge development for Uraraka!! The call with her father makes me cry every time I see it! This also started my loved for Kacchako... 😊 Also, the fact that Bakugou called Uraraka by her name is proof that he respects her- the only other person he called by their actual name is Kirishima, who proved himself during the calvary battle!

Out of the two best Bakugou ships (in my opinion) Kacchaco and Kiribaku my preference will always be Kiribaku but I still have a special place in my heart for Kacchaco even though Uraraka and Deku are obviously endgame

The really tragic bit is that she could've dropped the rubble about halfway through and he'd still have to use a full blast to be safe... which means his hands probably would've been shot and she might've had some stamina left.
As a multishipper, I think every ship has their own cute stories. Even if they are the endgame ship or not. Pls respect and let people choose their ship! And for someone who said Kacchako is for villians. I'm proud to be a villian. Thank you 💙

This " ship " isn't particularly for villains, it's just totally a non-sense, based on a bad translation ;). In fact, Bakugo calls her " round face ", if I would translate literally the french translation, it would give " egg head ", wich isn't really sympathetic ;). Incidentally, Uravity doesn't care about Bakugo, and he couldn't support a relationship with someone objectively better than him, that wouldn't correspond with his personality ;). He wins this fight only cause his quirk is more suited to circumstances, she tactically dominated him from beginning to end, and he knows it. Without forgetting that in the first 233 chapters, they spoke twice, including this fight, so it's nice to argue that "all ships are equal", but apart from Mineta, I don't see who could get excited for so little :p. About 1 minute of non-cordial conversation, not even uninterrupted, in almost a year : go ship them !
I sobbed at the scene with Uraraka talking to her dad on the phone too the first time I watched. MHA really is something special, I can't name too many anime where I was hooked after just the first two episodes.
quick note, the first person to push bakugou in a fight, the first person he admits nearly got him, is uraraka. even against the sludge villain and midoriya, bakugou flat out refused to give an inch, but the fact that he's shaking and admits she nearly got him is a first.

Amen i ship them too. Funfact: besides Kirishima (best Buddy), Bakugo calls only Uraraka by her real Name from his Classmates. I got since this Episode hard Vegeta x Bulma vibes from them. Thats why i hope at least these to become a couple (im no big Fan of Shipping, but this one i really like)
This was Bakugou's better moment. I love the fact he didn't hold back or went easy on Uraraka just because she's a girl. I hate it when that happens in fiction because it shows the guy thinks girls are less capable and weak little china dolls. That when it's a girl you can just breeze through with minimal effort. Like I really hate it, because it's so patronizing. It's not being a gentleman or respectful at all. I mean you should respect women, but part of that respecting is when they are your rival or teammate, especially on the battlefield or in sports you pull all the stops just like you would have with fellow men. Because that means seeing women as actual people. It's such a breath of fresh air to see such a thing in media aimed at boys.
I'm so glad you caught Bakugo saying her name at the end of their fight. Not many people catch it on the first watch or even up to their fourth. I always liked Bakugo before this episode, but that moment cemented him as one of my favorites. That, and his remark about her not being frail. He may have some villainous attributes, but there are good reasons for them. Reasons you'll see in later episodes.

Fun fact about Ochaco, in the Japanese version her parents talk with an accent that is roughly equivalent to a country bumpkin accent. Ochaco also switches to this accent when she is alone talking to her parents but uses the more modern city accent when she talks to others. It is a shame they didn't do anything like this in the English dub.

7:04 I'm SO glad you noticed that. Not many people do the first time. Bakugo saying her name is a massive sign of respect. Normally he would give people nicknames like "Tape arms" or "Icy hot." Him calling her by her name shows how much he sees her as worthy competition.

I forget sometimes how great Luci Christian is at this job. That pain, those cries, not to mention her general comedic timing... she's the bees knees. I have mentioned that you should watch, if you haven't, Princess Tutu. It's a ballet based magic girl show from the mid 2000s centered around fairytales cause she voices the lead in English. She's wonderful in it, easily some of her best work.

I mean, yeah, the Uraraka vs. Bakugo fight turned out how it should've. Uraraka, though strong and perserverant, couldn't beat Bakugo's raw strength. Bakugo gave it his all, just like Uraraka did. We even see that he did struggle ("That was close") with blowing up the raining debris. Bakugo also showed respect for Uraraka's strength! Anyway, would you people rather have Uraraka fall unconscious (Hurt badly but still able to function later on), or have Bakugo crushed under multiple pounds of rocks that could potentially cause lasting damage (I know this may be bias, cause I have a soft spot for characters like this, but I know some responses will be bias too)? Or would you rather have our well loved protagonist (At the time) character win and prevail under impossible circumstances, against a mean not liked character, Or have it more realistic so the other character wins (And both of them have something to take away and learn from the battle)? Yes, Bakugo has an attitude problem, and he's an asshole most of the time. However, that doesn't make him a villian. Somehow, he's both one of the most well like characters (Beating Midoriya, if I remember correctly), while simultaneously being the most hated (Aside from some villians, Endeavour, Mineta, and Possiblg Monoma). Anyway, Bakugo's heart is in the right place to be a hero. He has drive, determination, and his morals and goals can be right on at some times. He feels remorse, and refused to join the villains in S3. Bakugo is also a lot smarter and more talented than people give him credit for. A bad attitude doesn't make someone evil. People change, grow, and mature, like Bakugo will and already did. It's like putting someone in prison for hitting someone as a child. And yeah, people forget that Bakugo is still a child, and a minor. So is every other student! What I'm trying to say is don't bring down Bakugo to such a level that he doesn't deserve. And no, I'm not saying Uraraka is bad or is ok she got hurt that bad. She's actually one of my favorite characters! Anyway, Sorry for the rant, I just get frustrated at most people's reactions towards Bakugo, Uraraka, and the fight. No hate to anyone, though! Also cheers to Aizawa, for doing the right thing and sticking up for Bakugo.
Bakugo can get on my nerves from time to time, but I have respect for him. He Legitimately wants to be a hero, can analyze a scenario/person almost as well as Midoriya, and while he may look down on most students, he can respect those that show their worth as seen here. He's a guy who's very rough around the edges but has soo much potential to be a fantastic hero in many ways. Also.... you're not ready for next week. Probably one of the best episodes imo.
I will never not be surprised at how Deku and Ochako are both somehow perfect together and yet perfect as friends. It takes a very well handled show to balance that out and this one did it. yet at the same time the line she's not frail is so good from Bakugo and really could be perfect for a ship to start one out of respect on the battle field. Every ship so far isn't bad or toxic so I approve of all of them. PS I mean all the ships in class 1 a not like you know parents x child cause that is gross but like every character on character ship has been great.

Bakugo's used to maneuvering midair while his body weight is still a factor. If he tried to do that while weightless he'd more likely have blasted himself out of bounds
You know.. I didn't cry at all watching the anime but you know what makes me cry immediately? Just give me either a sad or happy (it really doesn't matter) story including an animal and I'm bawling my eyes out.
Uraraka had only one option of victory. If she could activate her quirk on Bakugo, he would have been utterly useless, floating away from the arena if he used his quirk. Unless Bakugo becomes literally explosive super man and can dive at her like a rocket then... No yea Uraraka was screwed from the start.
But that's the thing; if she had been able to use Zero Gravity on Bakugo, then with every action producing an equal and opposite reaction, his own power would become almost useless to him. He's used to jumping with Explosion, but without gravity pulling him down again he'd blast himself out of bounds if he tried to attack. He'd have to use a counter explosion to keep himself in the ring of exactly the same strength, and good as he is that's something you'd need to practice whilst free floating.
Zamber... I ship kacchako with you aaaaah aljskdj when it hits you it REALLY hits you. We do receive a lot of hate for shipping it, but pay no mind! Bakugou's respects towards Uraraka is real, after this he doesn't even call her names, he only calls people by their name when he really respects them, Uraraka is not afraid of Bakugou and actually think he's cool... I love that so much. I ship many things in bnha tho! haha so people... if you're mad at Zamber for shipping this, remember that multishipping is a thing! She can ship many things at the same time!
actually it's VERY rare for bakugo to call someone by name ! even the strongest of his classmates (tokoyai , shouto , midorya ..) so the fact that he called her uraraka just goes to show that he respected her A LOT !
This episode doesn't make me physically cry, but boy was I hit hard during that bloody phonecall. Her dad called and it was precious; you know I just noticed the whiplash of having Uraraka's parents show that they're basically supportive to a fault.... and then we get Endeavor. Who... isn't.
It's nice to watch a reaction where the reactor cries at the parts you cry at, or if they have the same feelsas you in certain part, alot of reactors never cry, and most of the time don't show the disred reactions in emotional parts like these.

Ochaco also switches to this accent when she is alone talking to her parents but uses the more modern city accent when she talks to others. It is a shame they didn't do anything like this in the English dub.

I forget sometimes how great Luci Christian is at this job. That pain, those cries, not to mention her general comedic timing... she's the bees knees. I have mentioned that you should watch, if you haven't, Princess Tutu. It's a ballet based magic girl show from the mid 2000s centered around fairytales cause she voices the lead in English. She's wonderful in it, easily some of her best work.

I mean, yeah, the Uraraka vs. Bakugo fight turned out how it should've. Uraraka, though strong and perserverant, couldn't beat Bakugo's raw strength. Bakugo gave it his all, just like Uraraka did. We even see that he did struggle ("That was close") with blowing up the raining debris. Bakugo also showed respect for Uraraka's strength! Anyway, would you people rather have Uraraka fall unconscious (Hurt badly but still able to function later on), or have Bakugo crushed under multiple pounds of rocks that could potentially cause lasting damage (I know this may be bias, cause I have a soft spot for characters like this, but I know some responses will be bias too)? Or would you rather have our well loved protagonist (At the time) character win and prevail under impossible circumstances, against a mean not liked character, Or have it more realistic so the other character wins (And both of them have something to take away and learn from the battle)? Yes, Bakugo has an attitude problem, and he's an asshole most of the time. However, that doesn't make him a villian. Somehow, he's both one of the most well like characters (Beating Midoriya, if I remember correctly), while simultaneously being the most hated (Aside from some villians, Endeavour, Mineta, and Possiblg Monoma). Anyway, Bakugo's heart is in the right place to be a hero. He has drive, determination, and his morals and goals can be right on at some times. He feels remorse, and refused to join the villains in S3. Bakugo is also a lot smarter and more talented than people give him credit for. A bad attitude doesn't make someone evil. People change, grow, and mature, like Bakugo will and already did. It's like putting someone in prison for hitting someone as a child. And yeah, people forget that Bakugo is still a child, and a minor. So is every other student! What I'm trying to say is don't bring down Bakugo to such a level that he doesn't deserve. And no, I'm not saying Uraraka is bad or is ok she got hurt that bad. She's actually one of my favorite characters! Anyway, Sorry for the rant, I just get frustrated at most people's reactions towards Bakugo, Uraraka, and the fight. No hate to anyone, though! Also cheers to Aizawa, for doing the right thing and sticking up for Bakugo.

Bakugo can get on my nerves from time to time, but I have respect for him. He Legitimately wants to be a hero, can analyze a scenario/person almost as well as Midoriya, and while he may look down on most students, he can respect those that show their worth as seen here. He's a guy who's very rough around the edges but has soo much potential to be a fantastic hero in many ways.
Also.... you're not ready for next week. Probably one of the best episodes imo.
I will never not be surprised at how Deku and Ochako are both somehow perfect together and yet perfect as friends. It takes a very well handled show to balance that out and this one did it. yet at the same time the line she's not frail is so good from Bakugo and really could be perfect for a ship to start one out of respect on the battle field. Every ship so far isn't bad or toxic so I approve of all of them. PS I mean all the ships in class 1 a not like you know parents x child cause that is gross but like every character on character ship has been great.

Bakugo's used to maneuvering midair while his body weight is still a factor. If he tried to do that while weightless he'd more likely have blasted himself out of bounds

It was an amazing plan. It amounted to absolutely nothing, but that was just because her opponent was absurdly powerful
Uraraka had only one option of victory. If she could activate her quirk on Bakugo, he would have been utterly useless, floating away from the arena if he used his quirk.
Unless Bakugo becomes literally explosive super man and can dive at her like a rocket then...
No yea Uraraka was screwed from the start.
But that's the thing; if she had been able to use Zero Gravity on Bakugo, then with every action producing an equal and opposite reaction, his own power would become almost useless to him. He's used to jumping with Explosion, but without gravity pulling him down again he'd blast himself out of bounds if he tried to attack. He'd have to use a counter explosion to keep himself in the ring of exactly the same strength, and good as he is that's something you'd need to practice whilst free floating.

Zamber... I ship kacchako with you aaaaah aljskdj when it hits you it REALLY hits you. We do receive a lot of hate for shipping it, but pay no mind! Bakugou's respects towards Uraraka is real, after this he doesn't even call her names, he only calls people by their name when he really respects them, Uraraka is not afraid of Bakugou and actually think he's cool... I love that so much. I ship many things in bnha tho! haha so people... if you're mad at Zamber for shipping this, remember that multishipping is a thing! She can ship many things at the same time!

actually it's VERY rare for bakugo to call someone by name ! even the strongest of his classmates (tokoyai , shouto , midorya ..) so the fact that he called her uraraka just goes to show that he respected her A LOT !
This episode doesn't make me physically cry, but boy was I hit hard during that bloody phonecall. Her dad called and it was precious; you know I just noticed the whiplash of having Uraraka's parents show that they're basically supportive to a fault.... and then we get Endeavor. Who... isn't.
