- I found two beautiful examples of the pattern Mariposa on Linda Genaw’s blog and had to share it with you. Today is another monotangle, but I’m calling this one fun and easy instead of mindful. Mariposa is by Viveca Chenoweth and I enjoyed trying it several ways. Originally, I was hoping to make gift tags, but I ended up smearing the one that I finished. But, no mistakes, right?! It’s still a good example and I hope you enjoy it.
Linda shows two beautiful versions, and her blog posts are here:

This looked so difficult when I first saw the finished product. However, you made it look so easy. I can’t wait to make it. Thank you for a great tutorial.

Barbara, I thoroughly enjoyed "simply watching" you do this beautiful Mariposa monotangle. I will plan to do it myself at a later date. I always return to your videos especially in times of feeling stressed, anxious, tired! Your voice, manner, combination of humor, calm, and expertise as a CZT is just wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind comments, Judy. I appreciate it so much. ❤️❤️ My adult niece listens to help her fall asleep. I love that my videos help you. That’s what I hope for when I make them. I hope you have fun drawing this when you have the time for it. 😊

Thanks Barbara for your patience and detailed instructions on showing us this beautiful mono tangle. The ogee grid made it so much easier to draw. I am so sorry to hear that you have to go through another round of treatment 😢 and please be strong as we all love you and you’re always in my prayers🙏 Love from Jane, Singapore.
Thank you so much, Jane. I really appreciate your kind comments and your prayers. 🥰❤️❤️ I’m glad you enjoyed the video.
What a wonderful pattern with so many possibilities! I love your "What If" tile.....I love doing what if's and always think of you! Speaking of which, I just want you to know I care, I am so sorry you are going thru' this again. I have two friends, one just finished her last bout of chemo and the other one is just starting again, like you, it's back! I wish you all the best during this journey and hope you know if I don't hear from you for a while I will be here when you are ready! Love you and your channel.
Thank you so much, Anita. 😘 I always appreciate your comments and your support.
This time we are trying immunotherapy, which is not as bad as the chemo.
I’m glad you like this pattern. I really enjoyed it. ❤️🥰
Thank you again for your support, Anita. ❤️❤️
Thank you so much for showing your corner cutter. I ordered a corner cutter from Amazon and made my own tiles of various sizes from some watercolor paper I wasn’t using. I had so much fun and feel more connected to my tiles now. Thanks Barbara!
That's awesome, Tracy! I'm so glad you were able to make your own tiles. They cost less and they are fun to work on. You're right, it does give you a stronger connection to your artwork when you also make your own backgrounds on the watercolor paper. 🥰❤️
Be Well, Barbara! Thank you for your wonderful CZT videos. We love you!
Thank you so much for your kindness and support! ❤️🥰 You have warmed my heart! I love my followers and I appreciate you very much! Sending love to you! 💖💖

great tag tip! going to have to try this one soon.
I hope you enjoy it, it’s a fun pattern! 🥰❤️
I really enjoyed doing this one, and I finally got to use my Derwent Lightfast colouring pencil! And coincidentally it is the same colour as your pastel pencil...
I haven’t used Derwent pencils but I understand that they are awesome! I’m sure your tile is beautiful! 💙💙💙
❤❤❤so pretty thank you and my. prayers for your good health🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much! I appreciate your prayers. 🥰❤️
Really cute tile! I colored mine with markers but I would like to know what kind of crayon you use; is it dry pastel ?
Thank you so much, Eliane. I’m glad that you enjoyed it. 🥰❤️😘 I had fun with it.
I use a general‘s pastel pencil that I got in a set from Zentangle. But you can also get them online like at Amazon. I like it because you can sharpen them and use them in small spaces like on this tile. I should have shown what I used in the video.
What is the name of the pattern on your title page that is just under the left corner by the word Not. It kind of looks like books.
It’s called Jalousie by Stephanie Kukla. The step outs are on the TanglePatterns.com website.
