    Nice video. Excellent production value and very nice photography. I agree with your simplicity approach. My light travel kit is two Canon VT Deluxe rangefinders with Canon 50 f1.8 LTM and Voigtlander 21 f4 Color Skopar LTM lenses. Similar accessories to yours all within a Domke Ruggedwear F803 bag. It's the perfect set up for me.

    I use the same billingham bag as yours, in different color though. But to further keep the weight down, you can easily replace the instant camera and the notebook/pen with an iPhone. It takes care of both functions: keeping notes and instant snapshots.

    I use a larger black Billingham bag with 3 compartments, 2 of them divisible by 2 height wise. In it I can either pack one of my 2 M6s (Classic or TTL) with 3 Summicrons or the 2 M6s mounted each with a different lense, 1 with B/W and the other with colour film. To either combination, I still have enough room for my Leica SF-40 flash and a few spare films. I used to have a Minolta III/F meter now replaced by an app on my iPhone which gives as good results. Thanks for sharing Markus.

      Thanks for watching and your comment. The larger Billingham bag is nice indeed. I am having trouble to fit my flash into the small bag if I want to take a second lens with me.

Although I don’t expect many using a Rangefinder camera as a beginner , still with all the hype arround Film and the M6 , i think some would need further support :-) . Don't forget your battery charger with the Billingham setup.
    I've just this year made the switch to Leica, after decades of shooting various cameras. I've a M10 "Betriebskamera" and a Canadian 50mm Summicron-M.
    I do like to carry a few more items with me in addition to your basic load. My Sekonic light meter, as others have noted. Usually a small flash and radio trigger. A small first-aid kit. A rain jacket on day trips if indicated (weather, duration of trip, geography--bumming around town versus day hiking in the mountains), always on multi-day trips. Several years ago, I had to fly from California to Chicago after learning my father had passed away. All of the above, plus a small toiletries kit and a change of socks and underwear, fit neatly with my Fujifilm X100s in my Domke Reporter's Satchel (along with a book for the flight). I refuse not to have a pocket knife with me, so I always have a checked bag and my spare clothes went into that. I didn't have a laptop at the time.
    I liked the flexibility of that setup, but unfortunately the Domke bags wear out rather quickly. I bought a much-RUclips-buzzed bag last year, that seemed to offer similar flexibility, before a trip to SE Asia. The bag suffered from quality control issues that contradicted its "hand crafted" hype. The maker did pay for return shipping, issued a prompt refund, and offered me additional accessories to compensate for the inconvenience, but I've been reluctant to order another.

      Daryl Davis thanks for watching and your comprehensive comment. Yeah in the mean time I catch myself carrying a light meter with me more and more. At the time of the video I also did not own a flash which I now do :-) Your setup gives me some inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

    Your Ona bag has such a beautiful patina Marcus. I found your channel because of my interest in the M10-D. I love the stealth nature and light weight of the M-system. Given that you find one battery sufficient (and I assume one lens) why use a bag at all?

    • @TheMPhotography
      @TheMPhotography  4 года назад

      Thanks for watching. I love my Ona bag. :-) So nice that you are interested in the M10-D. The M system and the way you can take photos can indeed be very stealthy. Especially with wide angle lenses and zone focusing.
      To you question why carry a bag if one battery is enough. I don't like carrying my wallet and keys in my pockets. 🙈

    I always have a Nikon CF-EU5 canvas bag with me. It carries my Leica M8, three spare batteries, some memory cards, a blower and four additional lenses (I mostly have the 21mm 1:4 Super-Angulon, the 35mm 1:2.8 Summaron, the 50mm 1:2 Summicron, the 90mm 1:2.8 Elmarit and the 135mm 1:4 Elmar with me) as a second body I recently added a M9-P to my kit. Both bodies have Arca Swiss plates on their bottom plates to have instant access to a tripod when necessary a reason why I could never upgrade to a M (240) or M10, maybe the M11 will have the good old bottom plate again.

      The M Photography Yes, on longer trips most of the time with more than two additional lenses. Of course, I will leave out some lenses when not required. When adding one of my film Leicas to the kit (M4 or M5) I will also carry a second Nikon canvas bag.

    • @TheMPhotography
      @TheMPhotography  4 года назад

      Hi Peter. Thank you for your kind words. Happy to hear that you enjoy the vlogs.
      The ND filter used is a three stops filter. So it darkens the photos by three stops and allows me comfortable shoot ISO 400 films wide open even during the day.

      Road Boogie I don’t own one myself but maybe I can arrange one later this year to do a review. What I have planned though is a review of the APO vs Elmar (which I own) on film. To see if the APO is worth it on film. Long story short, I can’t promise a Lux Video but will see if I can make it happen.

    • @roadboogie
      @roadboogie 4 года назад

      The M Photography sounds good to me with your choise! i m interessted in a good review always with a good overview. i mean they all well build but nearly nobody talks about important facts like micro contrast, color coding incl samples. as far all or most vids are like the same words „its just amazing“ yes they should but its not the point. i guess you know what i mean. i really like to switch from sony click clack autofocus to real photography. i wanna go to poor countries to document the suffering. nepal is such a great country but nearly nobodie cares or less. i guess its our responsability to capture the essense of life. but i dont blame nobody we live in a world where a luxury car is more important than life. from here i whish you a great life tho. and i keep an eye on your chanel. take care🙏🏻✌️

    • @TheMPhotography
      @TheMPhotography  4 года назад

      Road Boogie thanks a lot. You are right with the documentary aspect. It’s great that you want to visit Nepal for that. Hopefully you transition nicely away from Sony. With Leica M systems you will discover a whole new world of photography. And tbh most Leica lenses beat even the best Sony lenses. You for sure don’t have to go as far as a 50mm APO. But you are right, the micro contrasts esp with a Leica monochrome are magical with a lens like the 50mm APO. Take care yourself and thanks again for you kind words and nice feedback. Appreciate it.
