it has the role of soundproofing and aerodynamics, and in winter the engine cools down much faster without it, if you use highways and not only in the city, I say to install a shield...
We also have an A200 petrol, 2007. There is no cover there either and I don’t think it’s missing. I think is part of a “package” or an option. I’m not worried about it not being there. Just for clarification, the petrol version oil and filter change is slightly different. The filter housing doesn’t have that long plastic “stalk” (for want of a better word). Ours takes 5.3 litres of oil
@@AutoMotohowto46 ok I see you're right.. not sure though where I can get this catalogue information need access to specific software or database I guess. I'll have a look if you know catalogue link would be great thanks!
@@AutoMotohowto46 the last time I poured 5w30, the chain is heard after 40 seconds of engine operation, and when it's hot for about 1 minute and then it works normally, some mechanic says that 10w40 oil is better, but my car has a dpf filter, I can't put a 10w type , I'll try 5w40 C3 specification for dpf filter
Hello, I have A200 Petrol 2005 but no engine cover in the beginning like you (M10 bolts). Do you think its missing and do I need to buy?

@halid7892 maybe your chain tensioner is loose. 😐
@@AutoMotohowto46 the master says that the whole engine needs to be removed, and that there is a lot of work to be done to replace it
it depends on the country you are in, in the Balkans, for example, parts and labor are cheap and that engine can travel another 200,000 km , 😀
