I dont think it's the coach problem, I blame teamwork and map positioning for why they lose games. Their laning is good individualy but holy the are undecisive when fighting drakes or herald 💀

Fighting games have some really good terminology that work across games. A few would be: Neutral: Trying to put yourself in advantageous positions to get a punish. Punish: Actually dealing the damage you setup for in the neutral. Footsies: The mechanical back and forth in trying to outspace and poke the opponent, leading to a punish situation. Johns: Excuses for why you failed the neutral, got punished hard, lost the game and have never even heard of footsies. Usually involves controller breaking, lag, cheating, bs character choice, nerfs and either the lack of trying on your part, or the trying too hard on your opponents.
36:30 for those that didn't understand the reference, when Monte was the coach of CLG he bootcamped them in Korea to get some world class skill to rub off on them. It was so successful his team won the LCS finals and made it the furthest any NA team has ever gone at worlds!

I agree with Dom's take the 2 patches per split for LEC sucks. I would love it if they just said: "new patch means LEC plays it, whether that is after week 1 or week 2 of the Bo1's." However, they seem to believe it's unfair to give teams unequal amounts of games on one patch over the other. That's bullshit to me: playing 3 games on a bad or good patch for your team and 6 on the respectively better or worse patch is a more fair deal than 9 games on a potentially shit patch for some and great patch for others. LEC thinks symmetry of 9 games is better than an uneven 3 to 6 games, but in reality it's now 9 to 0 which is even worse.
Leave it to Dom and Monte to sleep on TES. Clearly they’re winning the split. Good guy wayward showing how strong the rest of the team is by strategically running it down. Wait until he actually tries vs bin the bum.
But i gotta say I feel like the reason teams don’t like the new format is because you have to start practicing before the split starts and not just 2 weeks before. Also you have to take every scrim seriously and actively work on your team. This is a huge assumption by me due to of what we hear from dom or thorin etc. how teams treat practice. At the beginning they are bashing G2's drafting, but I love how they don't mention game 1; where G2 got the meta's top picks for each role (Kai'Sa adc, Rell support, Neeko mid, and Renekton top) AND they counterpicked Maokai jungle with Trundle. The fact that series even went 5 games with XL routinely giving up multiple OP picks each game - even when XL was red side - is either a testament to how bad G2 is or how good XL is Edit: By XL being good, I mean XL finding ways to make inferior drafts look winnable

Vitality are not frauds but they are the biggest chokers the league has seen. A team made up of - The best toplaner for the past 2 splits - the hottest jg prodigy since Elyoya - EU goat historical leader and clutch player - best EU adc for the last 3 years - 2 time LEC champion. That team couldnt keep it together for 9 games after already having a split playing together. That team bombed out of the season finals in a time where even getting top 8 secures that and did that by having clutch players. Perkz is already known for his clutch performances and Upset just came off a year of carrying fnatics dead body over the finish line with Wunder. I lied at the start , this aint a choke its a whole drowning
I think a good example of a fraud team not making playoffs is 2018 USA not making the world cup by losing to Trinidad and Tobago or 2022 Italy not making it after winning the Euros.

I do not get Monte's point about G2's drafting, especially when G2 has already shown Kaisa for Hans before, and it should be clear that Yike is clearly not practiced on Rell like he is on picks like Ivern, Khazix etc, which is making their skirmishes difficult and giving out bad data on draft quality. After all, Rell has only recently come into jungle meta. I think G2 will become much better once Yike gets his Rell down and settles down in his play.
Perkz hasnt been a top mid in EU since like 2017?18? just before he went over to ADC. I belive had Perkz stayed as ADC i think he could have had a better preformance overall

No one outside of IWD expected OMG to be stronger than top 6 and they barely missed in a 5 games series loss. Vitality is by far the biggest fraud given their expectations versus their results alongside Flyquest. T1 still has a chance to prove themselves.
