Bruh, im like, a pair of acquaintances that kinda like each other but they're too awkward to talk to each other so they try to make signals to each other but both are too fucking dumb to catch up.
Miss Jisu's advice about "it wont be the last drawing you do" really motivated me a lot. Great interview
I get the idea that Stan is just cool. He sells drawing lessons, but promotes other artists who also sell lessons online, who are theoretically his competition. Behavior like this helps everyone in the community.

@@livetochange974 I dunno man, she seems pretty humble in this video and admits a lot of weakness and how amateur she still feels. Also at the top she says this is her first interview. Not sure what triggered you here...
She said she did watercolours before where every mark is highly variable, hard to control and has a final mark on the piece. So after that oil is a walk in the park from a skills standpoint.

What is so great about her is that she delivers the most beautiful imagery with so few tools. I mean tool. Damn sometimes she doesnt utilize gradients or even semitones but girls still look gorgeous.

Her work is great. Less refined than Kim Jung Gi, but with a beautiful feminine quality that's lost in Jung Gi's work. Can't wait to see more of her work in the future. Thanks for sharing another great artist! I'm going to go follow her now, thanks!

Gosh, I love her drawings, you can feel this passion for drawing figures just from looking at them. Every time I see her work I just want to draw, which says a lot how simple idea like figure drawings can be inspiring. 😍
I am glad you did this interview. I cant remember where I heard about her, but it has been a while ago. I absolutely love her work. I subbed to her RUclips channel and didn't know about the live stream thing.

what an incredibly talented artist. i can not believe she was teaching at 19 while going to school. seriously what an inspiration... i better get my bum off the internet and actually draw everyday instead of watch other people do it smh
I found her a week or two ago, and she's really creative. I instantly fell in love with her technique. It makes sense she learned from Kim Jung Gi. Keep working fellow artists, we'll get there one day!^^

Something that slows me down in drawing practice is just finding a good reference photo. I know just about any of them will do, but deciding on which one is hard sometimes.

Make sure you balance that out and don’t burn out. At some point our brains turn off and stop learning. So drawing for 12 hours may not be as beneficial as 3 or 4.

it is a stylized manga style. watch guys like katsuya Terada and Ilya kuvshinov. Ilya is the best in that style imo

I really like the video, it's always interesting to get an artist's perspective and background!
Just a little constructive criticism, try to look into the camera, not behind it. Or if it's a translator, try to keep looking at the person in front. It's hard because we're trained to make eye contact with the speaking person, but it makes it less disjointed and keeps the audience from wondering what you're looking at. Sorry, media training is hard to let go of.

Being exposed to Korean spoken language in a semi casual environment was enjoyable. I enjoy the elegance & femininity in her drawings as well as the "caught in an everyday life moment" feel as opposed to the "cool" poses she mentions younger students get stuck on.
It would be interesting to hear the perspective of a woman artist who is focused on the male body. I've only encountered one in my lifetime. Make no mistake, I enjoy the representation of the female from the perspective of women, and baring in mind that every artist's perspective is individual and unique, I am not attempting to be reductive. I do think, however, or I may not be well informed, a woman artist who is captivated by the male form is less common than vice versa, and I have often wondered why this is. Great interview with a formidable artist! 👍
