If I recall correctly chiyo his grandmother also said it was her fault he became so cold and merciless. Then you had the cloud who damn near made a villain out of a hyuga by getting his father killed
I am sure that Danzo did want an alliance with the akatsuki. Since he was always on the frontlines fighting invaders he also wanted an end to war but was tricked into betraying the akatsuki by Hanzo who didn't want a stable hidden rain village.

Hanzo was manipulated by Danzo, who convinced him that the Akatsuki murdered the sand shinobis & did their things through violence. He never had a problem with the Akatsuki.
The funny thing is it felt like sasuke was scolding the kages for thier mistakes and not taking responsibility for their actions when he brought them back to life when he asked them questions like hashirama give the five vliages talid beast that can destroy the world and he created the jinchuriki system that caused people like naruto and gaara to suffer tobirama created the zombie jutsu that requires human sacrifice that was used by kabuto in 4 war and being racist towards the uchiha and hiruzen not taking care of naruto and let the uchiha massacre happen under his watch and he let danzo do whatever he wanted and caused many problems love how sasuke calls the kages for thier bullshit and hypocrisy and incompetent at thier jobs have you seen how Hokage’s think? Hiruzen is all about that weed and calligraphy, Tobirama doesn’t like the Uchiha, Kakashi thinks about porn all day, Tsunade has a bad case of getting drunk and gambling, Hashirama creating the jinchuriki system and Naruto being very stupid with his hokage duties. It’s safe to say that hokage thinking isn’t something to be proud of. Great video kishimoto is really shines at his writing when writes about the politics of the world of naruto like how the hidden rain village was destroyed by the hidden leaf village in war and the uchiha massacre the problem is kishimoto creatures many concepts and stories but doesn't complete them like the side characters and the akatsuki rings are never talk about and when never got to see the other villages and explore them kishimoto is great writer but his not perfect naruto has a lot of contradictions and retcons

I still stand by what I claim, Kishimoto didn’t fully develop pain’s partnership with Obito. Like if Pain is really going to sell the tailed beasts to start new wars, so everyone can experience pain and loss. Then how Will Obito create the Ten tails if Pain sells them? 💀 Obito fans keep saying that he lied to pain and told him otherwise what to do with the beast, but do you have any idea how stupid that sounds on paper? Obito would basically be screwing himself on purpose if that was the case.. 😂 After Obito told Pain about the power of the beasts, it’s pretty obvious he started to form his own ideology and what he wanted to do with that power! But since he already made his partnership with Obito, Pain couldn’t just leave. Obito knows his secret now and he could get rid of Nagato at any moment now. Nagato was trapped after meeting Obito, but that didn’t stop Pain of wanting to go in his own direction. Konan already admitted to Obito during their fight. She was always watching him to understand his abilities to one day take him down! She always hated him. Pain and Konan were following orders for survival, NOT because they cared for Obito’s feelings, because they had no choice. They were just playing house until the day came to make a move, but sadly it never happened. Kishimoto should’ve allowed Nagato to meet Madara in the war to know the truth about his eyes, instead of resurrecting him just for a show and tell of his true powers and then got rid of him. That was such a waste. Nagato’s ideology would’ve changed after meeting Madara in knowing the truth of everything.🫡
I believe they intended to use each other in a much more complex way than Itachi and Obito's chess battle. That's why there's a theory that Pain and Konan were always gonna betray Obito because of their different ways. Whether Obito sold the original plan and Nagato and Konan agreed or Nagato laid the plan and Obito pretended to be on board, either way, both Pain and Konan knew Obito was just using them.
that's why a one shot for Obito or Nagato, or even Konan would've been great. We'd get to see Kishimoto himself tackle the behind the scenes of the Akatsuki. It would've been interesting to see Nagato find out the truth behind his eyes. As for Obito's indifference to Nagano's plans of "selling the tailed beasts", I believe he was gonna collect the rinnegan eventually, or coerce Nagato into performing the Rinne-Tensei for his own use-case somehow. He was kinda dicking around for most of his time in the Akatsuki (case & point, Tobi)
