Of course this was intended, but this song is so symbolic to Peter Parker. This was a great choice for the movie. Peter tries so hard to be Spider-Man that everything around him starts to crumble, which leads to him having this identity crisis. Putting on Spider-Man's shoes every single day but ending up forgetting who he truly is. He wants to take on a role that was way too big for his own good. Instead of feeling good about himself like he should, he ends up regretting ever putting the suit on because of his personal struggles caused by his super-hero persona. Simply beautiful.
Yeah now that's a Spiderman movie right there. I love Sam Raimi and his creative story writing. Also I love Tobey as Spider-Man and his performance, idc what people say he is the best Spider-Man/Peter Parker and before Tom and Andrew ever stepped in the web heads shoes. People might hate me for this but idc, sometimes I had wished that MCU never came out because Disney was messing up things like they normally do (sometimes) but I retract that statement because at the end of the day, they made good ass movie and in the end I'm a Marvel fan no matter what.
@@dboslice I get it though. The new Spider-man movies are a lot of fun and have made a solid Spidey with Tom I miss this take on Spidey. It was always about Peter too and how he struggled with doing the right thing. The new Spidey is a bit too focused on saving the end of the world he doesn't really have time to question if being a hero is the right thing to do. And especially since there are so many heroes, it makes sense he wouldn't but then stuff like his idenity and aunt may knowing, never hearing about uncle ben. To me that's the best things about Spiderman and they're not as prominent in the new ones.
Tobey was the best Peter. Man, you could feel his pain. Trying to balance his life between working, studying and being Spidey. Didn't have enough money to pay rent but still he was out there saving lives. What a childhood we've had! :)

It’s crazy how this song and Spiderman 2 was a relatable song and story. We all want to have our plans and life work out but it doesn’t at times making us lose ourselves. Just gotta remember to hold on
I feel you... :/ I relate to Peter Parker on SO many levels, so I also feel like Peter Parker when listening to songs like this or "Raindrop Keeps Falling on My Head".

This song is so relatable, I love Spider-Man 2 as well it's my favourite film of all time, anyway I relate to this song cause when I was in high school I was always trying to fit in, trying to make friends. I tried to be someone I'm not and that didn't work. Anyway I went back to being myself and I found a good group of friends and I found my dream job.
Who am I? You sure you wanna know? The story of my life is not for the faint of heart. If somebody said it was a happy little tale. The woman I've loved before I even liked girls. I wish that was me sitting next to her. Heck I'd even take him.

As lame and corny as this sounds, I play this song from time to time whenever I'm going through a rough period in my life. I try to think of this scene along w/ Peter in the movie as he tries to balance his work life, his school life, his guilt over Uncle Ben's death, his failing relationship with his best friend Harry, his love for Mary Jane, and of course, his responsibility as Spider-Man.
I grew up watching this spiderman.. When I came across this song, I couldn't help myself but get my eyes with nostalgia. I watched all the marvel movies and other movies too but by far this was the most humane movie ever. It was pure, true, emotional at times and really made its place in my heart. This spiderman story was good on its own way..
