More coverage from Abel Sanchez' gym in Big Bear, California, as Denis Grachev (13-1-1, 8 KO's) and Gennady Golovkin (26-0, 23 KO's) put in some strength work as their upcoming bouts creep closer...
Wrestling is underrated when it comes to training boxers. It helps with your strength and endurance. Thanks for the footage.
He should work more on that clinch. Kudos to the camp for understanding the clinch's importance in not only his conditioning but his overall boxing IQ
its from his street fighting days in Kazakhstan
Brilliant he tangles with guys with backgrounds in MMA so when he clinches with a middleweight it's nothing
Bosfootball no they tangle with him hes the beast
He grew up with friends that were high level wrestling, wrestling with them before he did boxing. Lomachenko has trained Sam no since he was a kid, if ggg knew bjj and the other aspects of mma could you imagine his punches? Lol
He has super grip strength as well, would make good fot grappling
They do that up at Abel's alot... All boxers are different with their training.. some just spar, box, and run miles.. some have conditoning coaches who put them through drills, some guys focus on strength, etc...
Wrestling popular in those countries they from
Canelo vs Golovkin best fight ever. They where both landing some hard powerful punches. The 2 best elite fighters in the world!!
Jessica was a decent fight. terrible ending i give it 7/10 would be higher rating if not for Judge Byrd
Russian mixed with Korean that's a dangerous hybrid
I train UFC Boxing and Ping Pong He's Kazakh
Wait I thought his mom is Kazahk
Henry russian dad & korean mother. He fights out of Kazakhstan because he is born and raised in the country so that makes him Kazakh.
@@wrk_in.progress7524 his father has Kazakh roots he has Kazakh relatives which makes him still and ethnic kazakh
How much bigger was that Jujitsu coach?
Denis Grachev is a trainer at City Boxing in San Diego :-0
MMA fighters and some boxers do this frequently as part of their strength training. It definitely helps. I'm sure he does this regularly. Try it and see for yourself. To know through application is the best education one can have.
This is the sled by the way, that's the name of the piece of equipment they're using.
Boxers do a lot of strength training, for the exception of wrestling exercises so no that is not new. You say Alvarado, Canelo and Berto have much more Core strength. Aren't you ruling out boxers like Matthysse, Rigondeaux, Nonito, and other big punchers that do have core strength? It's actually more common than you seem to know. But I do agree that videos like these will bring awareness to the type of training these big punchers in boxing use to more people; which is a great thing.
How much is the weight of that prowler sled
Great footage Chris!
No wonder he's such a monster in the ring! lol
When he was wrestling & Max pulls out the bat 😂
they need a bigger gym
Do u know if it's a one time thing or it's common for some fighters to do these types of trainings? Very unusual, don't know if GGG does it regularly but theoretically it looks like it'll be very helpful in fights
Grachev fights at light heavy, not super middle.
Gennady must have a background in greco roman wrestling!
Denis Grachev
Por eso es el numero 1.en la actualidad por su diciplina
Say Chris ur around training camps, do u ever see this type of training or there just trying it out for the first and only time?
I know they use it in mma cause core strength is essential in that sport. But it's not nearly as important in boxing, in fact out of the top 20 p4p easily 15 of them don't have much core strength. I know Alvarado, Canelo and Berto have it but I don't think it's a requirement to be a top boxer. However it very inserting to see the results if GGG does it regularly and maybe it opens doors for more fighters to do so
nganou destroyed Tyson Fury.
i thought grachev might beat la bomba, though it would be close anyway
NICE
👀strong
wasn't marquez doing Core strengthing recently?
00:13 who got knocked the fuck out
what was the points of the clinching t the end, cardio? obviously it wasn't BJJ cause the guy would just pull guard and submit him; so was a bit confused, good to see though.
I think it was to simulate the rough housing clinching that goes on in the sport. To help him build endurance and stamina if he is every in such a fight. Rough clinching has the ability to drain your energy if your not pre conditioned for it. Its a great workout and idea i think.
I agree with that, thanks.
+Helios601 it was basically replicating the first exercise they were doing except replacing the machine with a human. Make it a more real world experience I guess making it more transferable to the boxing ring i.e. clinching fighting strong off the back foot etc
Wrestling is great for conditioning and I'd imagine it would give a boxer an added dimension of durability and physical strength.
+Helios601 He was preparing to fight Floyd.
I want to see him fight Ward , both Olympic medalists
ГЕННАДИЙ ГОЛОВКИН ЛУЧШИЙ

I would not risk GGG on that bullshit.
Good way to slip a disk, fuck-up his back.
This guy is on the verge of $20 million paydays.
dat workz cuz boxerz clinch
I like triple G only and I mean only if he is not on the juice.
GGG knocked out Lucian Bute with head gear on in the amateurs. Lucian beat Denis Grachev.
Can pac win over him with speed
Facepalm
Firsthgyhgyhuy Lastujhujhuj SO, NO
repping CB
Lucian 'beat' Denis Grachev. Edwin Rodriguez has done a better job on him.
hes 511.
Wonder if Gennady would think about MMA after his boxing career is done?
No. Go away.
It's an atrocious sport on the decline. Check the numbers. 10 years from now, MMA will be as obscure as it should be. FOX won't renew.
Also,
Getting hit to make a bald douchebag rich should be appealing to exactly nobody.
I think he's a little long in the tooth for that.
TheIrishny why would he sell himself out, when he’s already too old to transition, to a tacky bar room brawling “sport” that would give him 1% money, reputation, respect, (also the belts in ufc look like something you’d buy from a fancy dress store) that he receives in boxing.
@@one1two2nine9 Bet you feel stupid now lmao
He is on the gayrunner juice.
