I’ve been dreading on what do up front of my yj, we’ll I decided on cutting it up for a custom grille and where the turn signals were there is now two Baja design squadrons.
Thanks for the info! Thats what my Jeep definitely needed. But mine was off in a different way. My blinkers would just stay on, never blinked. My rear light above tire wouldn’t work. But with this update it fixed it all. So thanks brotha
@@FortuneOffRoad so I noticed that when my headlights are on, now the blinkers just stay on? Have you had that problem before? When lights are off the blinkers work fine
For the 2005 LJ/TJ i had to replace a relay on top of the steering column. They sell them on Quadratec. The replacement relay slows down the blink rate. Depending on what lights are being installed resistors might need to be installed in-line at the light fixture, if its not already built into the LED fixture. I had all kind of wackiness going on before i figured it out. It's important to check the rear lights too, to make sure they are behaving correctly.
Thanks for this video. Added rear LED tails/blinker combo...left the front alone (for now). Lost my front right blinker and back right hyper flashes. Tried a few upgrade flasher relays...none work. Going to give your solution a try.
yj Turn circuit uses a floating ground between the side marker and the front marker thats the main reason it doesnt work right with leds and its also how it gets them to alternate. There is a workaround to make them flash simultaniously but I cant remember exactly how. incadescent bulbs will work whether you hook the +/- up to either lead but LEDs do not, they are polarity specific.
There is a LED module that replaces the flasher module. It’s nice because you can also adjust the speed they flash with a dimmer knob so you can adjust between “crack head” and “Tommy Chong”
Just curious if I fully locked my 92 YJs front axle with the vacuum disconnect fully operational, would it be rough steering around corners when the axle disconnected on one side?
So your link for Sylvania LED Blinker Bulb takes me to RED color LED's. So did you use RED or WHITE or AMBER? Are they still working? CEC flasher still working? TIA
This man is the do it with dan of 4x4....

Those are nice lights!

Awesome, glad that helped

I had the same problem, so I switched the flasher with the blinker, and they worked.

That's good info!
Did that to mine. Glad I did, the wires were pretty bad. It was an easy fix and now the lights are better than my 2010 Nissan Frontier
Right on!

That'd good info right there! Wish I would've had it for the video
@@FortuneOffRoad my brain is a treasure trove of useless yj factoids 😂

Hello, where did you get that license plate holder?
Amazon. Just search winch fairlead license plate
I got a full LED overhaul for my yj, do I need 2 of those fuse things that you have in the description?
For the blinkers you will. Otherwise they will just stay solid
Thanks, I need 2 correct?
I just ordered these same led pods. How do I wire them to run white with the headlights on and flash yellow with the turn signals
These are just marker light bulbs. You can only go with one color
What flasher did you use? Part number?
CEC grounded. Link is in the bio
@@FortuneOffRoad thanks! Didn’t see it before 😂

The default selection on amazon is red, but you can just click the white one. Everything is still working like a charm. 🤙🏻
