Oh, how he dreamed, that scientist there, Of stars we’d conquer, of skies laid bare. Of worlds unbound by war’s cruel hand, Where science reigned across the land. Yet time has weathered his hopeful face, And silence now fills that boundless space. The rockets rust, the banners fray, The march of progress lost its way. But still, his eyes, with a light unbroken, Hold the fire of words unspoken. A future forged by minds unchained, A vision of what mankind once claimed. How sad it feels to stand and see, A dream consigned to memory. The horizon he sought, so vivid, so near, Is clouded now, by time and fear. Yet in his gaze, there lingers a spark, A glimmer of hope in the looming dark. I don’t think that people would waste their time sitting on video hostings like RUclips, so most likely there wouldn’t be such a wave… after all, this is a component of capitalism, forcing people to consume information they do not need in order to sell them something that they do not need, to interfere with their development, and, in fact, the consumption of their goods
USSR wasn't a real country. It was a 'bad cop', a fake country propped up by Americans so they'd have an excuse to take over the world. It was not remotely competitive.
