I agree but make sure it’s the Animated Story version of No Bullets Fly! It’s about 7 minutes longer telling the story at the introduction. Wish I could send you the link I just don’t know how & old Metal/ rock head. Stay Safe Rock On!🙏🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The song was Sink the Bismark by Johnny Horton. Also did you notice the watch/compass in the young sailors hand was the same the captain for Sabaton had
The "Bismarck" , and his sister ship "Tirpitz", were the 2 largest battleships ever built in Europe and they were the pride of the kriegsmarine (Germany's militari navy) during Ww2. The "Bismarck" set sail in May 1941 to reach the Atlantic and destroy merchant convoys, but she was intercepted by the British and during a brief fight, destroyed the former flagship of the British fleet and pride of the Royal Navy, the worldwide famous battlecruiser "Hood", by penetrating her armor and detonating her aft main ammunition magazine and killing all 1900 members of her crew except for 3 men, and heavily damaged the battleship "Prince of Wales". This enraged the prime minister Winston Churcil who ordered all his ships in the Atlantic to abandon their operations and destroy the Bismarck. In total more than 40 ships participated to the hunt, making it the biggest naval hunt in history. Meanwhile Bismarck, who had received a hit during the first battle, was leaking fuel and was trying to reach the French port of Saint Nazaire, in occupied France, for repair. After 6 days of playing cat and mouse with the British, Bismarck was attacked by airplanes launched from the aircraft carrier "Ark Royal" and hit by a torpedo in the stern, which jammed his rudders during evasive manuvers, meaning that he was forced to sail in circles, just a few miles away from reaching air cover. In the end battleships "King George V" and "Rodney", along side the heavy cruisers "Norfolk" and "Dorsedshire" fought the already doomed battleship and, during the following 90 minutes completely destroyed it. However, despite having all her guns destroyed, and having received more than 400 hits (out of the 2800 shells that the British had fired at her) her armor was still mostly intact and the ship was still afloat. So the british launched another 4 torpedoes and she disappeared beneath the waves. After inspection of the wreck however it had been discovered that the torpedoes did no significant damage thanks to the battleship's excellent armor, and that Bismarck had been scuttled by her crew (although it should be noted that many historians believe that it would have eventually sunk due to the damage received). Of the 2200 men that served on her, only 114 survived. The old man seen in the video is the son of the last survivor, who died in 2018, 1 year before this song was released
Fun fact, the reason why the Tirpitz was moored in a fjord until the ships end, was because of " The Greatest Raid", Commandos, with a WW1 destroyer " on loan", destroyed the only dock big enough for The Tirpitz. I highly recommend you watch the video by Jeremy Clarkson
Nice reaction guys. This video was made in co-op with a wargame company. When the Bismarck sank, it had 2500 crewmembers, some 130 was saved by the allies. When you do No bullets fly...be sure to do the animated one as several before me has stated. That will give you the full epic history with the song. You don't want to miss that...promise!
For “No Bullets Fly” and “Night Witches”, I strongly recommend watching the Yarnhub Animated Story versions of these two songs. They are amazing and you definitely won’t regret it. Just a suggestion. That being said… I really like the live versions of those songs too. Everything Sabaton does is awesome. 👍🏻🙂
@@PetterVessel It's like it sounds, they get the guy from their Sabaton History channel to narrate parts of the vid. The whole thing is an animation, with the intro and outro bits being the story, with the song in the middle. But it's a good bit longer than the normal song because of that.
Thanks for the great reaction 🙏 So a bit of a dramatic and tragic story about the most famous ship of the Second world war-the Bismarck, which went on its first and last voyage (like the Titanic), which ended in its death. Bismarck (KMS Bismark) - German battleship, the lead ship of the same class, was still no less famous for its brother-Tirpitz. Bismarck is one of the most legendary ships of the Second world war, as well as being the largest battleship in Europe and one of the largest in the world along with the Japanese Yamato and the American Missouri. Bismarck was launched in 1939 and commissioned in 1940. Bismarck's first (and last) campaign began on may 22, 1941. Then Bismarck, along with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen (KMS Prinz Eugen) was to break through the Danish Strait into the Atlantic and begin to sink convoys going to Britain. The first German squadron was discovered by the British cruisers Suffolk and Norfolk (HMS Suffolk and HMS Norfolk) on the evening of 23 may. The British battleship Prince of Wales (HMS Prince of Wales) and the battlecruiser hood (HMS Hood) went to intercept Bismarck. During the battle, Bismarck received several hits, at the same time 5 Bismarck's volley hit directly into Hood's artillery cellars. Hood was torn in two by a massive explosion. Of the 1,477 crew members, only 3 survived. Among the dead was the commander of the British squadron Lancelot Ernest Holland. The Prince of Wales tried to continue the battle, but to no avail and soon disappeared in a smoke screen as one of the shells from Bismarck hit the command post of the Prince of Wales, thereby killing half of the officers, by the way the second shell fired from Bismarck hit the Prince of Wales, but did not explode, the British then pushed him into the sea. Bismarck had one of the generators disabled, two fuel tanks were breached, and there was a trim on the bow and a roll on the starboard side. Gunther Lutyens (commander of the German squadron) decided to lead the Bismarck to the French port of Saint-Nazaire for repairs. Prince Eugen was ordered to continue raiding. Bismarck was chased by the entire British fleet in the region. Bismarck's injuries were not very serious, but they caused Bismarck to lose one of his main advantages - speed. The British lost Bismarck several times, but due to the fact that the British intercepted a radio message sent to Bismarck, it was possible to establish the approximate location of the ship. Bismarck left little to the French Brest. Also, when approaching the coast of occupied France, Bismarck could use Luftwaffe aircraft (Luftwaffe - aviation of the Third Reich) to cover. Only compound H, based in Gibraltar, was able to detain Bismarck. This unit included the aircraft carrier Ark Royal (HMS Ark Royal). On the morning of may 26, the Fairey Swordfish torpedo bombers flew to the site of the last sighting of the Bismarck. Approximately in the same area was the cruiser Sheffield (HMS Sheffield). The Swordfish pilots mistook Sheffield for Bismarck and torpedoed it. The new magnetic fuses of the torpedoes did not work, and the cruiser remained intact. After this incident, the British changed the magnetic fuses to contact ones. By evening, Sheffield had made visual contact with Bismarck and the Swordfish torpedoes were back in the air. Swadeshi was flying very low and slowly, because of this, the crews of Bismarck simply could not distinguish from the sea. The Suodfishes themselves were biplanes that were obsolete even before they were put into service. The British achieved two or three torpedo hits. One of these hits was fatal for Bimark - in an attempt to evade the torpedo, Bismarck turned to the left and because of this, the torpedo, instead of hitting the main armored belt, hit the poorly protected aft compartment and tightly jammed the rudders. By morning, orders were given to stop the cars - Bismarck was in the zone of action of German bombers, who did not give Bismarck any help. Bismarck was approached by the British battleships Rodney (HMS Rodney) and King George V (HMS King George V). Bismarck's fire was focused on Rodney, but due to the roll and inability to evade enemy volleys, accuracy was very low. After 44 minutes, all 4 towers of the Bismarck group stopped firing. In order to somehow save some of the surviving crew, after being shot by British ships, captain Ernst Lindemann, who survived the bombing, ordered the engine room to be blown up, the kingstons opened and the ship abandoned. After the fuses were installed, 9 minutes later an explosion was heard from the depths of the wounded Bismarck, which contributed to the final sinking and roll of the battleship on Board. At this point, the cruiser Dosertshire (HMS Dorsetshire), firing 3 torpedoes at the immobilized Bismarck. Bismarck went to the bottom without lowering the battle flag. Of the 2,220 crew, only 114 people were saved - 111 people were saved by the British, and 3 people by the German submarine U-74. Captain Ernst Lindemann himself, as told by the surviving sailors, did not try to make attempts to escape, but on the contrary drove away all the sailors who tried to save him, threatening to shoot (this is so for intimidation), as a result, captain Lindemann heroically went to the bottom with his ship, the last time he was seen at the stern, when he said goodbye to the surviving sailors. The ship's cat Oscar, nicknamed "Unsinkable Sam"by the British, was also rescued from Bismarck. This cat survived the sinking of 3 ships-the Bismarck itself, the SS Cossack (HMS Cossack) and the aircraft carrier Ark Royal, the same one that caused fatal damage to Bismarck, in the Achilles heel of the invulnerable battleship. By the way after a dive expedition James Cameron, it has been proven that the British torpedo and shells are unable to contribute to the sinking of Bismarck, ie breaking was not detected by torpedoes at the armored belt, but below waterlinie was exactly cut out of the side, this proves that Bismarck scuttled by the Germans themselves when they blew the bottom of the ship and opened the seacocks and not British!
Thank you to World of Warships for creating the amazing battle scene for this video. All the ships and fighting were created using CGI, then used Live Action actors placed into the scene. This is just one example of some of World of Warship's amazing battle scenes they can make. BTW- World of Warships is a free to play warship game. Hi you two, so the key of the video is that the captain of the fishing vessel is the young German marine that was rescued by the British after the Bismarck was sunk he had the same pocket watch that the Bismarck 's Captain wrote the date and coordinates of where it was in the ocean on... all of Sabaton's videos I have seen so far are war history based and very epic movie - like cinematography, and they also sing most of their songs in English... A few other really good songs and videos from them are No Bullets Fly, Steel Commanders, and Uprising . 😮👍🙂
YES! You should do the animated story video on No bullets fly. Totally a tear jerker. You won’t regret, I promise🤗 Thanks for amazing reactions, absolutely love your reactions 🥰
Another great reaction - for the making of Video - ruclips.net/video/grtfiIIeS5o/видео.html and the Sabaton History - ruclips.net/video/r5D3wSqdIG4/видео.html
Bismarck had an increased compliment aboard (2000+), the idea being that after dealing with the escorts they would take over the merchant vessels and send them to occupied France.
If you do no bullets fly you must and I repeat must do the annimated version. It sets the story oh also watch all the way to very end. Night witches also annimated version. There live stuff is awesome as well eg Last Stand, The Red Barron, Great War, 82nd All The Way to mention just a fraction. Just dive in any song a great one. Combined with their history channel its a total imersive learning experience. Look forward to watching you both on this amazing journey. I just discovered Sabaton a few months ago. TOTALY HOOKED.
The special effects for the ship model was done by wargaming which has a game called world of warships. They did a video called Wait for me. This is based on a Russian poem and the video is set in World War Two during the pacific theatre. That video is well worth watching
Sorry for this Wall of text :) In the beginning of the Video, you can hear the Radio in the beginning, when the are driving is talking about How the Bismarck have blown the "The might cruiser Hood" That lead to the British Navy got the message that Bismarck must be destroyed at all costs and lead to Battle of The Denmark Strait. The Kriegsmarine was Nazi Germanys Navy. The Video was made with help from the company behind "World of Tanks" that needed some material to their game "World of Warships". And yes Sabaton really played on a boat in the "middle of nowhere".
"From Wiki" (just a short version). Bismarck was the first of two Bismarck-class battleships built for Nazi Germany's Kriegsmarine. Named after Chancellor Otto von Bismarck, the ship was laid down at the Blohm & Voss shipyard in Hamburg in July 1936 and launched in February 1939. Work was completed in August 1940, when she was commissioned into the German fleet. Bismarck and her sister ship Tirpitz were the largest battleships ever built by Germany, and two of the largest built by any European power. In the course of the warship's eight-month career under its sole commanding officer, Captain Ernst Lindemann, Bismarck conducted only one offensive operation, lasting 8 days in May 1941, codenamed Rheinübung. The ship, along with the heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen, was to break into the Atlantic Ocean and raid Allied shipping from North America to Great Britain. The two ships were detected several times off Scandinavia, and British naval units were deployed to block their route. At the Battle of the Denmark Strait, the battlecruiser HMS Hood initially engaged Prinz Eugen, probably by mistake, while HMS Prince of Wales engaged Bismarck. In the ensuing battle Hood was destroyed by the combined fire of Bismarck and Prinz Eugen, which then damaged Prince of Wales and forced her retreat. Bismarck suffered sufficient damage from three hits to force an end to the raiding mission. The destruction of Hood spurred a relentless pursuit by the Royal Navy involving dozens of warships. Two days later, heading for occupied France to effect repairs, Bismarck was attacked by 16 obsolescent Fairey Swordfish biplane torpedo bombers from the aircraft carrier HMS Ark Royal; one scored a hit that rendered the battleship's steering gear inoperable. In her final battle the following morning, the already-crippled Bismarck was severely damaged during a sustained engagement with two British battleships and two heavy cruisers, was scuttled by her crew, and sank with heavy loss of life. Most experts agree that the battle damage would have caused her to sink eventually. The wreck was located in June 1989 by Robert Ballard, and has since been further surveyed by several other expeditions.. You should really check out their History Channel, The have a Historian (Indy Neidell) talking about the story behind their songs, and Indy explains what happen is really amazing storyteller and they do have a video about Bismarch and how this Video was made) .
The guy they pulled out is the captain of the boat that Sabaton are playing on. You should definitely do the animated version of No bullets fly. I don't know if you know, the drummer is Floor's husband.
Uprising is good, final solution, defense of Moscow or Stalingrad. All of their songs are interesting though and they have much more than just World War II but those are just a few of the good ones I got into when I first started with them. Uprising is the first one I heard about the Jewish uprising in Poland against the Nazis.
Good reaction, so thank you. This song was actually sponsored by the game War of Warships, or something like that. I mean it also shows how high quality production this is. Lot of green screen and computer animations, those are not cheap. But this band is known for their high quality video's and mostly the animated ones. Okay that's my input for you, stay safe, healthy and have a good evening. I'm starting to make dinner here in Finland. Not goi'g out, we are having a huge snow storm coming. Snow approximation is over 40 centimeters, yikes. Bye now and see you soon. Hopefully you will do a live stream at some point. Would be cool to say hello to you in live setting.
H.M.S Hood with H.M.S Prince of Wales Engaged the K.M.S Bismark and K.M.S Prinz Eugen the hope was the two British ship with Hood in the lead would engage a ship each, splitting the enemy’s fire. Unfortunately Bismark and Prinz Eugen concentrated all fire at Hood. A lucky shell (for the Germans that is) penetrated the deck of Hood ignited the ammo storage and the Hood Blows up out of the 1,415 crew only 3 survived. The Germans quickly turned on the other Ship Prince of Wales. She was a very new ship workmen we’re still working on her during the battle and two of her turrets were not functioning so only one turret in use limited fire could be returned. Despite being hit by the German ships the Captain of the Prince of Wales did not want to break off the Engagement and was ordered to do so by a Senior Officer on board H.M.S Norfolk. Who was part of a British force sailing to the battle but out of range to take part at that time. Interesting note that the Swordfish Torpedo planes like in the video actually attacked H.M.S Sheffield by mistake thinking is was the Bismarck.who in turn was tracking Bismarck at distance on radar. In the end the British caught up with Bismarck after a Torpedo hit its steering so it could only go in circles. The Prinz Eugen had left Bismarck by this time. She was finished off ether by torpedoes fired from H.M.S Dorsetshire or more likely scuttled by her own crew. Of the approx 2,200 crew only 115 survived. The British ships could not look for more survivors and indeed left some behind due to the reports of U boats in the area.
SABATON... My God they are good. The videos are so well made. So much Powerrrr💪💪💪 Thank You So Much Love From The Netherlands 🇳🇱🙋🏼♀️🇳🇱 Next No Bullets fly....please🙏 It is Very Emotional 😭 Please see the end of the VIDEO. SABATON always has, SURPRISES...😘

Another interesting video now that you have watched it is another reaction channel. Look up historian reacts to Bismarck. It’s very interesting watching a historian explaining the event while Watching the video for the first time.
Never let anyone tell that the hit on Bismarck's rudder was a lucky shot. It was planned. John 'Jock' Moffat's hit was planned. His first Swordfish approach was aborted because he wasn't in the right position. He came in again this time coordinated with another Swordfish attack on the other side of Bismarck. Bismarck was in a turn to avoid this attack when Moffat's Swordfish got in so close and clipping the waves the anti aircraft guns couldn't depress low enough. He aimed for the rudders as per the plan, her rudder stuck in a turning position. All the sinking of the Hood (an old Battlecruiser built in 1916) did was piss off the British, no convoys were attacked. Both Bismarck and Tirpitz were spectacular failures. I'm ex RN and Jock Moffat is a legend in the RN, he died in 2016.
Brad could meet lead singer Joakim (or Hannes the 2m heavy metal drummer, Floors husband) in a dark alley and A)kick their ass - or B)be very friendly and buy they them favorite poison in nearest bar?

Another great reaction - for the making of Video - ruclips.net/video/grtfiIIeS5o/видео.html and the Sabaton History - ruclips.net/video/r5D3wSqdIG4/видео.html
Legend has it that Floor actually is in this video... Look at the feet dangling outside the fishing hut 😉
Great band Sabaton, I mean they're no Nightwish but they are still bloody good band and their videos are second to none 🤘
Bismarck had an increased compliment aboard (2000+), the idea being that after dealing with the escorts they would take over the merchant vessels and send them to occupied France.
Animated STORY version of No Bullets Fly is the best version. Love to see you two react to that.
Yes, there is a place called Bismark as well. It is the capitol city of North Dakota.
Sorry for this Wall of text :)
In the beginning of the Video, you can hear the Radio in the beginning, when the are driving is talking about How the Bismarck have blown the "The might cruiser Hood"
That lead to the British Navy got the message that Bismarck must be destroyed at all costs and lead to Battle of The Denmark Strait.
The Kriegsmarine was Nazi Germanys Navy.
The Video was made with help from the company behind "World of Tanks" that needed some material to their game "World of Warships". And yes Sabaton really played on a boat in the "middle of nowhere".
"From Wiki"
(just a short version).
You should really check out their History Channel, The have a Historian (Indy Neidell) talking about the story behind their songs, and Indy explains what happen is really amazing storyteller and they do have a video about Bismarch and how this Video was made)
.
Thanks for the info. We'll check out their History channel. 🙂
You have to do the full animated video whish is more than the song, it’s storytelling as well!!!
It’s a MUST!
Sabaton - the price of a mile
Avatar - Bloody Angel
Majestica - above the sky
Brad and Lucy please do the animated story of No Bullets Fly
En livstid i krig (live in Gothenburg) is a song that Will bring you to tears. Dont forget to put on the subtitles because it is in Swedish.
Sabaton - The Royal Guard, Is a bit about Swedish history and a nice video for us Swedes who care about our royal family..
You were thinking of Johnny Horton - Sink the Bismarck. Imagine if Sabaton did a metal cover of that...
ruclips.net/video/M1Ufc2hI4FM/видео.html
You must do Ghost in the Trenches, about one of Canada’s most highly decorated soldiers.
As a side note here, the name the gave the boat at 3:03 is taken from an older song by the band (from the older set up of the band)
Ghost division live from Woodstock Poland is another video you might want to check out
They say assholes are like opinions: everyone has one.
i think the bismark song you were talking about was by johnny horton in the 50s 60s
Otto Von Bismark is who the ship was named after and correct Bismark North Dakota and it is also a Township in Michigan
You should du the animated story video (not the animated music video) of No bullets fly ant Night witches. In that order. :)

World of Warships
@@ISAFMobius18 thank you, I knew it had to do with them but couldn't remember the name
Bismarck is also the capital of the U.S. state of North Dakota :) Peace From Sweden
Hi I like you guys you seem to be a nice couple having fun together, a tip on a song with Sabaton is 40:1 live from Woodstock where the band plays before the split and the reorganization of the band..
So much metal you could refloat the Bismarck :D
40% of Bismark's displacement was dedicated to his armor belts. He was HEAVILY armored, to the point of being ridiculous.
Nice! How about this: Thunderstruck by Steve'n'Seagulls (LIVE). Great finnish band!
Recommended live performance:
SABATON - Ghost Division (OFFICIAL LIVE VIDEO) (faster paste music) ruclips.net/video/9FkYxnm70vg/видео.html
SABATON - En Livstid I Krig (Live - The Great Tour - Gothenburg) (slower pace, in Swedish but there are eng sug that I recommend you to use)

Another interesting video now that you have watched it is another reaction channel. Look up historian reacts to Bismarck. It’s very interesting watching a historian explaining the event while Watching the video for the first time.
🤘🤘🤘👍👍👍👍
Nice reaction! Try Defence of Moscow (really good video) or watch a live one😃 I suggest "Ghostdivision" from Woodstock 2011 - thats power💪
Yes animated one
Was that a wee scots accent? If yes, maybe you´re interested in Sabaton´s "Blood of Bannockburn" ;)
James Cameron did an extraordinary documenation about the Bismark. ruclips.net/video/iqOWlWqagxo/видео.html - like the Titanic docu - a must see ;D
World of Warships was partnered with them
Nooooooo, do the Animated Story and watch the entire movie!!!
Nice reaction guys 😁
Thank you!! 😁
Hi canadian friends( I'm in Quebec) soldier of Heaven next? 😁😁
Do the night witches animated version it's not a docu it tells a great story .
