That would help - they do verify the location you're trying to buy from. I tested out trying to buy Prismatic from multiple emails and different credit cards from the same house - it did not allow it
I've comeback to pokemon collecting (and investing) since the new year. The nostalgia from 20 years ago sure is intense and I can see why so many people are interested in the Pokemon TCG. Your video about Prismatic Evolutions sure helped me make an educated decision, you deserve so much more than just 1k subs!
Wow! Seriously thank you for that feedback. I practice what I preach and will only be purchasing at MSRP for the foreseeable future. IF it -REALLY- is necessary I'll pay resale for product unboxing videos. The conditions right now are just too unpredictable. What got you back into the hobby if you dont mind me asking?
The visuals of most cards just mesmerized me as a kid. I could stare at them for hours. After school hitting up the local games store with my friends to maybe buy a booster a month, opening them, getting hyped. Since then a lot of time has passed and I’ve been feeling the itch. Luckily as I’ve grown older my financial situation has settled and I’ve got some nice disposable income. So I’m buying some boosters, some bundles. Opening about a third and stocking the rest.
Thats exciting to hear. Its still a great time to get in, even if its in a fomo period of time. Trick is when others move on to the next hot thing or pokemon has a down period to stick out that collecting. Thats where the real wins are made. I'll be here along you getting back into the hobby
Happy to hear you found some of the info helpful! We have to wait this storm out - FOMO is real right now haha. I actual picked up 10 sleeved myself for some pack content
Just got back into collecting late last year after getting into TCG Pocket. I assume there are a LOT of other people out there like me right now which is driving a lot of the hype and fomo from people still learning. I'm gonna not worry about the new sets right now and just focus on some of the older sets I can find. Unfortunately, I gotta do most of my shopping online because all my local retail stores are cleaned out no matter what set it is, lol.
Welcome back to collecting! FOMO feeds on itself - pricing in future price evaluations gets us to where we are. There are opportunities out there for sure. Especially now that people are comfortable, in some cases EXCITED to pay MSRP
These are really tough times to be a collector - they are also the times I believe we learn the most. Thank you for taking the time to check out the video :)
First, thank you very much for you time and for subscribing. On the PC ETB - for the S&V era they have done a restock day of drop but with how the market is, its going to be very difficult. Its all pokemons market supply game - they write the rules we just do our best to follow and predict them
I've never purchased anything Pokemon related in my life but have been watching the market and trying to learn all that I can from the outside for a bit now. I'm trying to find my time to strike and get something but it feels like the hype is at an all time high, so it's a little difficult to know if buying anything now will prove to be a wise move or not. From what I can tell, it looks like all (like literally all) sealed boxes go up after enough time passes, which I'm wondering if perhaps that's part of what is driving the hype. Knowing that if you can just get your hands on a box and hold onto it long enough, eventually you'll be in the green. The lower price point you can purchase a box, the better and/or quicker odds of a profit happening makes sense though. Maybe I'll be able to find a box in the $150 range or less. 🤷♂ Thank you for your content btw. Your videos help bring clarity to this crazy Pokemon world.
I'm guessing you at least like pokemon though haha - even if you didn't - I'm not in the camp of "if you dont like pokemon you shouldnt invest" But I can say it does, like any single stock or speculative investment strategy, require having a deep understanding of why products get priced in higher at release - over time - drop etc. Those who lose the most are those who were the least informed - Its great you're taking the time to do your research.
The cards we've seen so far from Journey Together look fine, but this is ridiculously over hyped. Tho I will say if you're looking for particularly just the stamped pc etb at msrp, maybe some fomo is warranted 😅
PC ETBs have been the only product I feel pretty helpless to feel optimistic about. I havent put that in a video yet but it seems to be a popular talking point
Pokemon Center needs a captcha or smth to stop the bots man 😭
That would help - they do verify the location you're trying to buy from. I tested out trying to buy Prismatic from multiple emails and different credit cards from the same house - it did not allow it
Loads up into TCG Live and you have to beat a beginner bot to be able to secure your purchase in the game you're buying.
Patience is truly a virtue.
Sometimes it really can be as simple as that. The chaos of everything sure makes it easy to second guess it though

Please keep up these videos👍👍 helping me keep my head on straight. This channel is quickly becoming one of my favorites
2 market videos in - no plans on stopping. Much love thank you for helping to motivate this journey
how did i not know this set existed wtf
Crazy right - thats how fast the news cycle is
When there's a Pokémon card issue I come here
Haha - with only two market videos in?
The hype will fade, patience will pay
100% agree - when product is no longer scarce the market flips
thanks for calming my nerves on it! i ordered 10 blister packs from gamestop at retail price im happy w that

I really enjoyed this video, very digestible
Thank You! My goal is to deliver it in a pacing that I seek out
Thanks for this good advice. Hopefully I am able to pick up some of this set.

@@CHRiSC4SPER Thank you for making it! Great editing!
Do you think that the Pokemon Centre etbs will restock? also this is such a good vid, you have deserved the subscription.

I just got back into Pokémon at a perfect time huh😅😂
It's always a great time to collect - just different times require different strategies - you got this :)
Scalping Together! ❤
That and a wider customer base rn

Should be renamed Journey Apart.
In a weird way this is brining a lot of us together. I guess... thats... a win?
Well I've waited on Surging Sparks reprints or price drops to buy a booster box because i was too late to the party. But without succes so far 😅
Time is on your side - 2025 is going to be one for the history books for sure. GL on getting your booster box though!
70% off the people won't pay 150 for a new etb and No fomo doesn't effect all off us.
Some people do have braincells.
Im not sure how many will or wont - the issue is some will :\
Oh I like this video
Much love! Thank you for checking it out
No I do not plan on participating in launch I'll get mine when they're on the shelves
I'll be watching from the sidelines with you

I almost bought an etb for 163 but that’s even outrageous
The FOMO can get us all - good looks on staying vigilant though!
