This is just one of those incidents that every league fan old enough to remember thinks about from time to time. This guy was destined to be a 12 year Australian representative and one of Qld's greats. Injuries happen in league every game, every week, but not many end careers so early. Jharal should be an inspiration to all of us!! Attitude is everything!! The individual decides how they come out the other side. Massive credit to him!! PS: Is there a more passionate league man than Vossy? Maybe, but his personal connection when interviewing players is second to none.
Shame his career ended early. Was one of my favourite players to watch. He was one of the premium wingers at the time. Could’ve been one of the greats.
I'm a NSW fan myself but always loved his plays whether in Origin or for the Broncs, and whilst its a shame his career ended so early what's more important is how he has continued his life. He didn't let footy be his identity, in these modern times so many people get their identity from what they do. Great attitude mate and you're an inspiration to all young athletes out their and I would really hope that you continue to share your story and give hope and inspiration to people of all walks of life!
No joke - God has blessed this man with the wisdom of a man who has lived for a thousand years. The best is yet to come Jharal, youre only just getting started!
People easily forget how good he was. 3rd season in the NRL, starting winger for QLD and AUS, combined 5 tries in 6 games for both. 33 tries in 60 for the Bronx. Would still be killing it right now, such a shame.
How can anyone dislike something like this Such a shame what happend to this bloke just from this injury and this interview he seems like the most top bloke what a champion
I was 15 when this injury happened and I was and am a advocate qld supporter. This man Yow Yeh was 1 of my favourites, not because he was like Thurston or Slater or Inglis, but because his name sounded different when the commentators would scream YOW YEH FOR THE CORNER! Just hit different, when he stopped playing it truly broke my heart. Such a young talented lad who could still be carving up in today’s game. Best wishes outside of footy mate ❤️
Eels and NSW supporter - tough to hear that Eels said he wasn’t good enough, this kid was something special....such a shame what happened to him, really enjoyed watching him play
A terrific player - really glad he had some more time at the Broncos behind the scenes in the years after. Good luck to him and his family with whatever comes next.
Glad to see an interview with him- I still remember meeting Jharal when I was playing under 12's. You can ask anyone I know and they'Il tell you I despise the Broncos, but this dude was so down to earth and awesome with fans, extremely talented on the field and very humble. Purely because of that, there weren't many games he played in that I missed- I looked up to this guy more than anyone from my own team. The incident that ended his career still sends shivers down my spine and I think if it hadn't happened he would be a force to be reckoned with in today's competition.
Hate the Broncos and this guy when he played for QLD but I was genuinely sad for days when I saw what happened. Such a talented young man with such a good attitude who got dealt really tough cards... I wouldn't have his mental strength. Kudos to you Jharal!
imagine watching billy slater growing up and then all of a sudden he’s your room mate and he knows who you are 😭 poor bloke could’ve been the greatest.
If he went on to play the same amount of games as billy Slater (2nd highest try scorer ever with 190) if he had of kept the same scoring rate that he Was going at when he retired(33 from 60), jharal would have gone on to score 177 tries if he played 323 games, that’s ridiculous, would have put him 4th on the all time list
I don’t think it’s the pain of it to why he would cry I think it’s more so as a person who loves sports hates to be on the sideline and unsure if a club is willing to still have you on board even with your injury situation that’s what goes thru every athletes mind even just starting from the bottom again when you were right at the top.
He almost gave up on life. Glad he reached out to people who cares and saved his life.

Most league interviews I watch because I see Vossy in the thumbnail. Awesome fella
Jharal was something else. Terrific player and took the NRL by storm!!
This is why the players fought hard for their CBA
What a player this man was. Even being from NSW you couldn't help but like him.
Micheal Odell no RogueSaint88 is saying that he is from nsw but yow yeh was from qld but RogueSaint88 still liked him
@@michealodell1808 lol u got it wrong mate🤣

put any player with same amount of games and jharal is the greatest winger of all time

Such an explosive ball runner, that try where he turns Thurston inside out was madness..
People easily forget how good he was. 3rd season in the NRL, starting winger for QLD and AUS, combined 5 tries in 6 games for both. 33 tries in 60 for the Bronx. Would still be killing it right now, such a shame.

Very sad to see this lads career cut short.. Could have been one of the greatest wingers in the game today very sad

Great bloke. Great segment
Disappointing how his career ended because he was heading to be something very special glad to see you still involved with the game

Top bloke
Jharal has a unique record scoring a try on every debut ... Broncos ... QLD ... Australia ... all the best Jharal from a NSW men
He was a great it happend against souths I still feel terrible for him, hope he has a blessed and successful post football life all.the best son .
The biggest “What If”
Jharal is a great man. Listen to his radio show on Murray country.
Still remember his try against the Raiders where he kicked the grubber and scored...Funny how time flys ay :)
Proper decent bloke aye deadset

James Nice facts bro and good way to look at it, he really could have been anything and that’s coming from a nsw fan
Would have been one of the greatest wingers! Thanks The Fan for sharing thia story! #Bronxnation
One of my fave player❤
Great fella! Humble! Love to have a beer with ya mate! 🤙🖐
Yow yeh to a legend in my eyes. right up there with Boyd Inglis Hodges Hunt Slater Folau Tonga Tate.
This guy is humble.
Jahral was such a awesome talent, Broncos still haven't replaced him yet on the wing lol
come on mate, Lachlan Maranta was a gun hahahahahahaha
7:53 guy in grey shirt trying not to vomit 😂
Harris Wipe Wipe I shouldn’t laugh but I did..a 3 second look and he literally nearly threw up ...crazy
That Try against the Raiders
I saw this on TV. It was sickening when he rolled over and you could see his ankle moving the wrong way, taken from the game way too soon.
That's real sad maan
I remember as a kid watching him and trying to copy his running style 😂
Someone at Parramatta told him his too small? WTF maybe that's why Parramatta hasn't won premiership since 80s.....
7:51 broncos dude gags to the right hahahaha
i played my grand final there like 2 weeks ago
Bruh still wouldve been a gun 30yrs old shiiii spewin for him
Another Rocky boy, another great player from Central Queensland yet all the big clubs bleed the Queensland Cup CQ Capras dry, over and fucking over.
weburnitatbothends yep
Would’ve been one of the GOATS @ CTR/WFB
see old mate almost boot when he sees the bone at 7:53
ThaDopeman 😂
What is yow yehs backround?
Alekos Dafiniz Aboriginal I guess he played for indigenous all stars
True thought he looked a bit islander my bad
Chinese too I think. Aboriginal - Chinese. Its on Wikipedia
Weak and Wack Beats it says he’s aboriginal , Samoan , vanuatuan an Chinese
Slick mix
I don’t think it’s the pain of it to why he would cry I think it’s more so as a person who loves sports hates to be on the sideline and unsure if a club is willing to still have you on board even with your injury situation that’s what goes thru every athletes mind even just starting from the bottom again when you were right at the top.
Is he still playing?
no, currently coaching at Norths Devils
He's not shy to tell you how great his career was that's for sure.
Because it was great. He achieved the highest honors in very short time.
Because it was that good in a short space of time
I am a NSW fan and I don't like QLD teams especially Broncos. Jharal was my favorite player ever in Bronx and QLD.
I played at the north devils stadium and smashed the north devils
Imagine if he didn’t come off his wing
Now can he walk ?
