What things are you looking for when choosing a San Francisco neighborhood to live in? Are you looking for sunny weather? Are you looking for great hiking trails nearby? Let me know in the comment section below!
World Meets City Geary, balboa, Park Presidio, and about 20th Ave. were the streets of my childhood. 1995 to 2001, from birth to age 6 were my formative years living in the Richmond district. 511 17th Ave. was my home address between Anza and Balboa. That, up to Geary between at least sixteenth and 19 or 20th avenues I call the old neighborhood to this day. My family still has old pictures and photo albums of that neighborhood before the Internet was as strong as it is now, before social media, and it was all television and the local library beyond Park Presidio in inner Richmond. I’m a little sad you did not mention Gordo Taqueria and Joe’s ice cream which were also childhood Staples of mine, yet it’s your preference anyway. I visited last year for outside lands, very little has changed, and I hope to move back someday. I ❤️ SF.
World Meets City you’re welcome. Even if it was my early childhood and I was an innocent little kid in the late 1990s, I still have plenty of fond memories to share with my parents enshrined in our old photo albums, and I also had neighborhood friends I played with almost all the time. We lived right next-door to each other on 17th, and soon met others in our block living on 18th. Did you grow up entirely in the Richmond district? My family and I moved north of the Golden Gate bridge to Marin County in 2001 as I started kindergarten, and that’s where most of my formative years were spent. We lived there until my early college years, and we still own our house up there.
