It is a fact that a spoken language is somewhat different from a written language.Arabic is no exception to it.The learned scholars of a language are fully aware to it.
It is strange that an Arabic speaking person himself fails to understand these changes.

When you say خاتم الحفاظ, it is usually referred to as the لغوی معنی it's not اصطلاحی معنی
