I just love thrifting!! Its so fun to find the diamond in the rough! I have Teva sandals that I wear when ill be doing alot of walking and want my feet to stay cool, very comfortable! I'm finding as I get older I'm more worried about comfort than I am in the cuteness factor 😁. The gardens are looking so beautiful! I've had a lot of takeaways and inspiration for my new gardens at my new to us home, thank you!!!!
Keen has wonderful closed toe sandals which i wore the last 3 days non-stop with running, playing soccer , going on walks with my 2 young grandkids. (I forgot my tennies). These Keens have never let me down. I normally wear insole supports but these sandals can be worn alone; they are made with arch needs in mind. Linda from NE
I've been watching your progress and can't believe how quickly the front area now looks as if it's been there for much longer. I really appreciate the "front patio". In my neighborhood, in Southern CA, several of us spend time outdoors when the weather's nice, and as evening approaches may gather at one place or another for a glass of wine or whatever. Or even in the summer, when mornings are nice, we may collect to enjoy coffee.

My parents were really into antiques and our home was full of that type of thing. I was so envious of my friends who had more modern homes, full of “Spanish” style furniture and shag carpeting. I was always whining “why can’t we have nice furniture like xx” what a brat I was. Fast forward and I LOVE all of my antiques. Anyhow your comments made me think of when I was young and I appreciate that. You have a lovely daughter-in-law and she has a wonderful mother-in-law. A suggestion for summer sandals. Fit Flops. They are so comfortable, many styles. I wore a pair while touring Paris. My feet never hurt. I always get compliments when I am wearing them. I have numerous pairs
I am so happy you are enjoying living downtown. We used to live downtown Phoenix and patios in the front yard were very popular. The are used for social gathering for coffee and cocktails. In the neighborhoods with large lots mommies sit out front and socialize while the kiddos play in the yard. You are living your best life Linda!! 😃
Linda, I went to London a few years ago needed good shoes to walk all over the place. Now this isn’t a thrift it would be a splurge, Ecco shoes are wonderful! You can get sandals or closed toed slider shoes that have wonderful arch support... they are expensive but I have worn several of myEcco shoes for several years now I’m talking one pair is almost 20 years old. I still use them for yard shoes... yes they are on the pricey side, but this Little Rock Girl walked all over London and the shoes were absolutely wonderful, comfortable, and easy to care for

FITFLOPS!!! Definitely try fit flops. They are so comfortable and have more than just flip-flops. They have special what they call wobble board technology in their soles and your feet don’t hurt at all. Youcould walk all day. And the shoes last for years!
At 20:05 there are some deep turquoise mugs, while thrifting, that might be a great accent color sitting out for use in the kitchen as well as a really great, new home.for your spicy chicken and rice soup come fall.
That wooden “accordion basket” thing appears broken. It expands from flat to about 6-8 inches high then locks in place. They are pretty cool when functional.
