- Some highlights from a winter vacation to Montreal the week before Christmas. Sites I stopped by include Old Montreal, Illumi by Cavalia (located in Laval), Atwater Christmas Market, Mount Royal, and some more Old Montreal

Laval is part of MTL métropolitaine area .
Laval ( North shore ) is part of greater Montreal . The greater Montreal include the south shore of Montreal island ( Brossard, Longueuil ) .
Omg is like one of those Christmas movies where they film in a small town, a town where everywhere is Christmas. Soooo magical
Montreal is not a small town. It's a big city where racism is more openly expressed unlike in the rest of Anglo-saxon Canada where it is more hidden.
@@ColtraneTaylor the fact that YOU ARE RACIST does not mean others are! ANGLO SAXON have been racist and very discriminatory against the French for centuries, so the fact that Anglo Canadians in Montreal have the BEST UNIVERITY in CANADA and the best health care and have access to all services is not racism, but ANGLOS spitting in people's faces and telling them to SPEAK WHITE is showing Anglos as racist. There is NOT ONE French only University outside of Quebec, and there is not ONE French only Hospital outside Quebec, but dozens in Quebec, Anglos get all services in English, show me the same services in all other provinces, if I want my kids to go to school in French in Calgary and then to a French Hospital, a French University, will they get any services? NO! if I go to ANY store in any other Province will everyone speak perfect French and give me services ONLY IN FRENCH. no! so we can say ANGLO Canadians are all racist then!

@@ColtraneTaylor there is no open or blatant racism in Montreal unless you are very dishonest, I live in Nun's Island and it is very multi-cultural, and yet nothing happens here, everyone gets along as long as they are nice intelligent people when you DEMAND special treatment, that does not fly well here.
Some people like you decided to come to Canada and are demanding that everyone around them changes because they do not want to integrate into society, the colour of your skin or your religion does not matter to Canadians unless you are Muslim for example, and you demand that all of us change our ways to exclusively act your way,.
if I went to Italy or any other country, I would not DEMAND to change everyone's way of living to fit MY WAYS, I would learn the language and the traditions and respect them, what I DO IN MY HOUSE is nobody's business but when I am outside I do respect others bubble as long as they respect mine. this is what being civilized is, anywhere on this planet. if you want respect you have to start by showing respect to others.

Well this came up at the right time for ME... my mother just passed away 3 days ago and I'm feeling low..😥.. My PARENTS LIVED IN CANADA BACK IN THE LATE 1940S... IN FACT I Was conceived there..BUT THEY CAME BACK TO ENGLAND WHERE I WAS THEN BORN...1952 ...😊RIP MUM @DAD... THEY BOTH ⛄❄️ LOVED CHRISTMAS❄️⛄⛄❄️ AND THE SNOW 🍁😇😇🌠🌈🇨🇦this is quite MAGICAL 🌌🎄❤️⭐🦄✨🌛🎉🍂☃️🌠

I was in Montreal last Christmas. It was gorgeous, especially Old Montreal.

Montreal winter simply magical . Cold ? Yes! but winter is expected to be cold . First Montreal winter 1982. Something about the city has me returning at every opportunity. Very pleasant memories , beautiful people . Simply saying bonjour opens all doors.
I visited Montreal thrice between 2016 to 2018. It truly is a beautiful city. I miss it!

It’s a well made video makes ppl dream about mtl . This makes me think of my girlfriends . I picked by accident the coldest time to go to steakhouse vieux port mtl with my bffs . It was freeezing but we made it by foot up from the metro, no one drove . It was cold to the bone but despite that we all kept our promises to show up . I was impressed of my friends and I think we impressed each other . We went home and will always remember this part of our beautiful story . True friendship at that moment .When ppl cherish each other they will make the effort to be present despite the cold .
