RM is the main writer of most of BTS songs. He’s a genius of 148 IQ , main rapper of BTS. Suga the lead rapper is one of the main production members. Jhope rapper, main dancer is also one of the main songwriter, producer
Other members also contribute in writing process.
Unlike other bands , BTS writes and produces their own songs. That is what makes them special.
React to BTS House of Cards, Dimple , Pied Piper Liver performance

Here's a little theory about this music video that I follow:
So in Fake Love, Flowers represent love in general. We can see Jin during the first chorus protecting a flower in a lantern as debris flies around but in the end he wasn't able to protect it because it was fake, toxic love. The flower turns to dust.
Cut to when the music stops, Jungkook walks into a room with a pile of dust/sand and a lantern on top, referencing the destroyed love. He picks it up and has a bit of an epiphany from the look on his face. The dust turns back into flower petals. But it's different this time. It's self-love. It's not locked in a lantern but freely floating in the air. And he made that love himself, as it came from his hands. He learned to love himself. He found the answer. No wonder the next album after this one is called Love Yourself: Answer.
    Such a beautiful music video.

well, that's the secret recipe of their discography

  • @melwigs

If you think this is artistic you’ll love Black Swan, Blood Sweat and Tears, Save Me, ON (both original and kinetic manifesto film)
... and of course all the solo work it’s always🔥 most of BTS’s work has depth and centres around complicated concepts, that’s why some long time ARMYs aren’t attracted to the English pop songs as much. They’re cute and fun but they keep people from delving deeper into the history. I’m glad you’re taking the plunge, keep going, there’s only more awesome to see lol💜

Great reaction. Fake Love is an interpretive masterpiece and one of my favorites. I think you got the 3 main lyrical interpretations. First, losing yourself on a romantic relationship. It’s not real because they had to change to the point of being someone they didn’t know or understand. Second, self actualization, changing themself to satisfy others to the point of not loving themselves and their own flaws and identity. Third, the love the receive from their fans and their desire to represent the idolization of the perfect role models or musical superstars. It’s a beautiful song and sad but with hope at the end of recognizing they’re tired of the Fake Love and they have to be themselves, flaws, fragility, and all.
RM is usually credited with the flower/dream line and he wrote a lot of this.
JHope was the one dancing you were referencing.
Good luck in exploring their more introspective and interpretive work.
    Black Swan
    Blood, sweat and tears
    Forever Young
    Some good others.

This is definitely what their fans are more used to though 🤔, in terms of meaningful lyrics and aestetics.
Dynamite and Butter are nice feel-good pop songs made to cheer up the fans during the pandemic but they definitely don't represent their discography.
I recommend Black swan, Spring day, Blood sweat and tears, Magic shop, Singularity, Epiphany, Serendipity, Shadow, Tear, etc.
I also recommend this introduction video to the group as a whole and their journey, it explains really well how they became so big: ruclips.net/video/3cESARetI9U/видео.html

You’re right about the dancing. Their choreographer Mr. Son incorporated movements that mimicked the “speak no evil, see no evil, hear no evil” saying.
Like you said it’s meant to illustrate that sometimes the price of staying in a relationship (staying in fake love) is to pretend you can’t see the signs that this love is fake and will instead change yourself to keep the relationship going. Love is blind but instead you are making yourself blind so that this fake love can continue.

    • @Ahjusshi_Brown
      @Ahjusshi_Brown 2 года назад +4

Also wanna add that the album this song is on goes on to tell us that the only reason someone would go through all of this is bc they don’t actually love themselves. They are using their partner/the relationship to give themselves meaning and value.

This is the core of BTS, their lyrics and the stories they tell throughout their albums. This one is one of the specials ones, it's kind of considered as part of the BU (BTS Universe) but it can very well stand on its own.
What tugged at my heart on my first watch was how Jungkook is constantly trying to reach everyone but they shut him out while they dwell in their own suffering (the rooms/problems they are stuck in) and then at the end a door opens, a place finally invites him in and in there it's maybe his own time to face himself.

I just found your channel and I love your reactions already !! I love how honest you are !
So, I just want to say something about the music video. BTS have this thing called "BTS UNIVERS" or BU. It's a pretty complex storyline that runs through some of their songs and MVs essentially but it also contains other content like books, other videos (non-MVs), a webtoon and a video game. This storyline starts from the song "I Need U". And Fake Love is an important part of that storyline, that's why there are so many details that you'll have to connect to BU content in order to understand them. In general BTS use a lot of references and symbolisms from different works of literature, philosophy & psychology (not only for the BU content, but for the other songs too) 😊
All that said ! If you want to dive into it, dissect the songs and try to figure it out, I suggest that you wait a little bit, and learn about the boys a bit more otherwise you'll be completely lost 😂
Anyways, I can't wait for the next reaction, and have a happy holiday 💜

    BTS stands for
    방 탄 소 년 단
*B* ang *T* an *S* onyeondan which means *Bulletproof Boyscouts* in *Korean*
This name signifies the group's desire "to block out stereotypes, criticisms, and expectations that aim on adolescents like bullets"
If you explored BTS' discography further, you'll notice that BTS make songs with strong social messages that touch on subjects such as mental health, social injustices, prejudice, self reflection, development and self love.
Throughout their career, they *consistently* made the subjects mentioned relevant and amplified through *their own music.*
They make music for healing their listeners who were struggling mentally. For example, *"Paradise"* , *"Never Mind"* , *"Sea"* and many other BTS songs comforted and saved me and people who thought they wouldn't wanna live anymore.
Also, no one can beat BTS' work ethic. BTS train like athletes. They practice their choreographies 12-16 hrs *daily* (they have lots of intense choreographies to remember) and singing on treadmills. Afterwards, they move on to produce music until dawn despite their hectic schedule.
*"Instead of worrying about loosing their fame, fans and money like other celebrities, BTS were worrying about loosing their passion and love for music"* - _reference from their song, Black Swan_
This is why their performances are unparalleled and they're so well known all over the globe.

some references can't be understood without knowing Bangtan Universe which is a fictional storyline with the characters who have same names as BTS
for example, you notice Jungkooj looking or creeping on other boys: from above he's watching jimin, he's in the key hole of jhope's door, behind the worn out wall of yoongi's room, on the next floor to tae, in the mirror of namjoon, in the window of jin. this connects to the relationship his character has with other 6 boys, the longing and loneliness he feels when they are busy with their own life and struggles and their friend group start to fall apart(notice that every one of them is trapped in a separate room with a distinct symbols like water, fire, reflection, childhood, smartphone). it affects jungkook a lot and he tried to reach out to them, but failed. that was his way of learning how to not rely your own happiness on other people in a way

BTS is unstoppable when it comes to creating absolute bops - that's just science. Proof of this is BTS's song "fake love" a single from their third album, Love yourself: tear, which fans have kept on repeat since it was first released. At the heart of "Fake Love" are some pretty emotional lyrics, and luckily BTS is here to explain the actual meaning behind the song.
During an interview with Beats 1, RM opened up about the true meaning of "Fake Love" and how it actually fits into a bigger story that the group is trying to tell through their music. "Basically, our albums are like a four-part series; [the series] is about love. So [Love Yourself: Tear] is part three and it's like a turning point. We're saying that if you're not true to yourself, your love won't last forever. The love could be person to person, it could be between me and myself," he explained. He then joked, "It's kinda deep." And like, it kind of is though.
In addition to examining "Fake Love," the Bangtan Boys also shared some personal trivia.

Perhaps you have not understood many things but although fake love may seem like a heartbreak song to you, the reality is that it is a song that reflects how false love towards ourselves can be, How we can blind ourselves to the point of only believing that self-love is only loving the good parts of ourselves, which does not allow us not to love ourselves completely, which makes us empty Since to love ourselves completely we must love even the dark parts to accept ourselves

to understand more of the last jk scene you need to watch Fake Love teaser. it is based on a concept of Masic Shop - a psychological technique of exchanging bad memories, traumas on a positive experience
    jk gains a key there
in the extended version mv he uses this key to unlock the appeared door
when he enters there he sees a coat and a mask - it's what you cover yourself with to hide the true you
this behavior of hiding or molding yourself into something you are not has to be destroyed to move to something better, so it is destroyed in the extended mv

BTS is modern Shakespeare. The Bangtan Universe is a storyline that connects many of their songs and videos and starts with their Most Beautiful Moment in Life album and takes you on a journey of humanity. If you like the artistic value of this, you have to do the storyline videos. The Wings album and short films especially will blow your mind. Fake Love is a continuation of this storyline. BTS body of work is actually very deep and beautiful. You should watch BTS Crash Course 2020 by Suga and Spice. It will give you a glimpse into the true depth of their work and why they are so loved.

    once again, you are right!
bts releases three Love Yourself albums, where the first of them was about the blind love, the second one about the pain behind it, the third one about the answer: you should love yourself first before loving anyone else.
but it's easy to say, right? we need to learn how to love ourselves, for that we need to know who we are. so they took us on a journey of self discover with the next album series Map Of The Soul (Jungian psychology themed) to acknowledge our good and bad sides abs accept them all in order to love ourselves. Black Swan and ON are from MOTS era, I'm sure you can see how it it connects

Their English songs are not 'usual' BTS songs. First they were not entirely written by them and second, they are in English and cater to the US market. Their Korean songs but also their Japanese songs are completely different. Deep, meaningful, harsh and conscious.
This particular video also is part of the BU the Bangtan Universe, where all 7 members live in an alternative universe and have different backstories and timelines. But that is a completely different rabbit hole.

The songs on this album had somewhat of a beauty and a beast story to it. With the rose in a glass. Songs like truth untold which is based on an Italian story of a tragic, unconfessed love between a hideous man who lives alone in a castle and a women who stumbles in his garden. BTS - Blood, Sweat and Tears is also a good one.

I think its actually about the bts world story where Jin is trying to save everyone and the flower represent all the 6 members cause that flower is shown in the I need u video too...as u can also see in the video fire is involved with suga, water is involved with jimin, being stuck is as in depression and trying to get out of it is involved with hobi, v in a box/room kind of place represents him going to jail, rm is also messed up (that's how they all end in the bts world story)and in the bts world story jk comes to know about how Jin is trying to save everyone so he tries to help him too and that's why he was running around and looking at jimin from afar. And Jin is stuck in his room waiting for the tragedy day to come again so that he can again go back to past and save others.

This mv maybe its confused for you, because this album has a concept, so every song on it, tell you a continuos story. So the mv (images, everything)the the song and the choreography is telling you something of the concept. They are so artistic, They made you think all the time when they release a conceptual album.

Great reaction! I hadn't see a video from here in a while. I watched your Boy with Luv reaction so I really hope you have more time for BTS reactions, such as
BTS (방탄소년단) 'Black Swan' Official MV
ON (BTS (방탄소년단) 'ON' Kinetic Manifesto Film : Come Prima)
Baepsae/Crow-tits (Live) with ENG subs / the dance practice / the explained vid by a Korean (fyi, a Crow-tit or Baepsae = a tiny bird)
    [MV] BTS(방탄소년단) _ War of Hormone(호르몬 전쟁)
    Dimple + Pied Piper+ Ddaeng (Eng Sub|BTS 5th Muster (Dimple+Pied Piper+Ddaeng) LIVE)
Go Go ([BTS - Go Go] Comeback Stage | M COUNTDOWN 170928 EP.543)

This is the usual bts song tho i love them cause of their artistic and poetic their english songs are good but not to my taste i prefer their korean songs cause its easier for them to be poetic and go deep with their lyrics and meaning

The water and fire is connected to their storyline, I recommend you to react to the explanations of their storyline.
Since you seemed to like artistic side of them, I recommend spring Day, stay gold, ON music video not kanetic manifesto, blood sweat and tears, save me, butterfly prolog, run, I need you. Gosh there's a lot 😭 I'm hoping to see you as a great army in the future :)

Fake love is related to the BTS STORYLINE AND ITS HARD TO UNDERSTAND THE STORY LINE 🥲 in simple words there’s a lot going on in this mv even the snickers are related to the storyline and fake love is not about breakup 💜

The Snickers reference is J-hope's real life childhood trauma. I'll quote this, "Hoseok was visiting an amusement park with his mother at eight years old. They stopped in front of a carousel, and his mother handed him a chocolate bar. “Close your eyes,” she instructed, “and count to ten.” While his eyes were closed and he was counting, his mother walked away. When he opened his eyes, his mother was gone. He’d been abandoned." Maybe Hoseok (Jhope) saw what he thought was unconditional love from his mom all his life came to the final horrible realization at that moment her love wasn't really genuine or real. It has a double meaning for me because the way the betrayal was enacted is so much more devastating. The mom could have just told him to stay there and say she'd be back. But no! The chocolate is sweet and usually a sign of love when given as a gift but in reality, JHope's mom used the gift to leave him. I could imagine him eating the sweet chocolate but crying out with his soul. So saddening!
