One would believe that he does it intentionally but there is no reason why, he is practically immune like 001 from Season 1, if he wanted to kill them he would have simply made more time. He even put his foot down to help Gi-hun at the end and helped them a lot with the third game, in my opinion he was getting carried away and just really enjoying helping.
I read in another comment about this same topic and it might be real about him messing up because he was using his right hand while being left-handed. That's just speculation though. It can be open for discussion.
the guy in the middle actually screwed up the shot in this scene because he winded up the top before handing it back to frontman, which is cheating. they added a close up scene of frontman rewinding the top to try to cover up the scene.
This was the most wholesome scene in the entire season the fact that everyone cheered on for the teams to make it even frontman was enjoying it
I love that the frontman is cheering everyone on, pretty much forgetting that he’s behind the games during this one 💀
