Right so this was a different time and the music is of a different area, but he is like the “Jimi Hendrix” of that time, doing things you normally wouldn’t - and it is so musical and brilliant- just amazing!

Roy Smeck was a vaudeville guy who really could just jump onstage and render a performance that surpasses what mortal men can do. I read that he played 14-16 hours a day, because he had jaw-dropping showcases on banjo, ukulele and standard guitar as well as the Hawaiian style. His only equal on Hawaiian guitar was, of course, the great Sol Hoopii.
