I'd say this map is the most impressive one you've done in terms of accuracy. Also, this map being difficult seems pretty fitting to me as I've always found it the 3rd hardest map behind Moscow and Holland.
@@mr.bp-dcbg Paris. Making it so that the Eiffel Tower stand-in more closely resembles the original and making it so you can explode it and traverse the rooftops. Both of those things would go a long way to making it feel more like the original map. I understand that those two things are likely impossible though, so I'm fine if it doesn't happen.
@@ShagthePoker In the vid description I did mention redoing Paris and Los Angeles because I found them the weakest as well. Paris doesn't seem scaled properly, and the Eiffel tower section is too small to traverse while the bootleg tower takes up too much space. There's a way to make a bunch of explosions with the limitations, but no way to do the other part. Basically you create the same effect as killing the Icon of Sin, and put that object in a specific location and have it crushed to create the explosions...I'll see what I can do in the future, and thank you for your support.

My balance philosophy is: If I can beat it without dying it's "balance" If I can't it's broken Not the best philosophy to go by, but the final map needs to be climactic. The Dark Tooth Battle will be included in the beta release. Any map you deem weak in this project? Someone mentioned Paris, and I think Los Angeles is the worst of the bunch.
@@mr.bp-dcbg I imagine Jaffe and Romero have a very similar sentiment in that regard lol. I look forward to watching how that big bastard is gonna work. If I had to pick one map it would probably be LA. It’s the most simple map, but it’s also somewhat bereft of hidden goodies like the others have. It makes sense though to be honest, LA is a very basic map without much on it. I imagine you’ll probably take a look over Paris too and work on the Eiffel Tower replica.
@@lordraiden1038 DOOM kinda limits what I can do with the Eiffel Tower. At best I can try to have the Icon Of Sin explosion happen, but that might not even work.
@@mr.bp-dcbg That's definitely a very old school game dev mentality (in a good way). Like the kinda devs that play their own game to the point they're speedrunning it and forget that people won't be that good at the game, so they make it insanely difficult.
