SPOILER(pointless): This morning an ex-girlfriend texted me. She and I were high school sweethearts and we loved each other with every fiber of our bodies. I looked at the text, scoffed, and didn't even think of replying. I haven't replied to her in over six months. We are adults now and I told her I'd like to be friends, but it's just not doing it for me. I am slowly pushing her away and this song just made me realize all the good times. She and I have shared much more than a relationship, we grew with each other and we will always have those memories. Honestly, I don't even know why I posted this. If you happen to read this, thank you, because I couldn't tell you in person.

skin We had a long talk the last time I seen her in October. We agreed that our fire was no longer as bright as it once was, but it was definitely fun while it lasted. We will always have those amazing memories from when we were young and in love, but we both agreed it's time to move on with our lives. She probably didn't expect me to completely ignore her, though. We even tried to do the long distance thing since she moved five hours away, but that didn't work, so we let it go. Thanks to everyone and their support, but I don't think this story will have a happy ending in that regard.

I too had a high school sweetheart, we had a relationship for 4 years. And in College, we got together again 2 or 3 times, while breaking up and starting relationships with other people (College here and for me is 6 years).
The last time we broke up, 1 year ago, I think it was the last time. She is happy with anouther person and I am still looking for mine. I have been with 2 people since her, and I couldnt fell in love. It scares me that it wont happen again but I know sooner or later it will.
I still have the good memories and I still have parts of her in my personality and see things she would want to see or know (happen today actually).
Just to say that, getting together didnt work for me but it is not the end of the word and that I think we only learn with our own mistakes, so if you feel you should try again, try it. If not, there is plenty of fish in the sea, and i bet you will fall in love soon :)

I love this song. It reminds me of someone I loved and with whom I shared a very special time in my life. Looking back now it seems like a blimp in time. Beyond the sorrow of the loss I felt after we went our separate ways this song manages to remind of me of the good times and I will cherish that always. Its amazing how someone can impact our lives many years after we lose touch. I often wonder what I would say if I ever ran into her but I still haven't figured it out.
