Only 2 steps to play like Baborak..... first start playing French horn at the age of 10. Second play 6 hours a day and then you are all set! :)
...however this works only if you are Baborak, definitely did not work for me... :))

bravo monsieur vous jouez doucement sans exagération avec souplesse et surtout sans vibrato comme dénis brain .Les cors modernes ont un défaut une trop grosse perce inutile pour la musique de chambre

At the cadenza, i thought he is going to play the Mozart's Queen of Night....
Baborak is an unbelievable player, but that's the worst 1st mvt. cadenza I've ever heard. Yuck.

Mozart cadenzas are problematic I think- hard for anyone to add anything worthy to the master's compositions.

+Abdullah al Shaief Since Mito orchestra is Japanese, it is very likely that the members are mostly asians.
There are lots of Asians in Japan

Great hornist, probably the best I'll ever hear (after Hermann Baumann and Barry Tuckwell), but this guy's cadenza is horrid.

Not quite as good as Barry Tuckwell, but still quite good
Are you joking? I heard the Mozart played by both, Barry Tuckwer vs Radek Baborak sems to me like horn intermediate student vs master. Barry is not afraid to play loud, but that is all. Barrys Intonation is not always OK and his phrasing is total crap (or I do not understand him at all).
My opinion: better than Barry Tuckwell.
Much more musical than Tuckwell.

I think the 4th horn concerto is the most boring, most of it sounds very borrowed from the other three. That's just my opinion.
Although I really love the use of the oboe in this one!!
