To try spinning is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be impossible, as the archives are incomplete. Unfortunately his opponent, General Kenobi, had the high ground. Ironic. Spinning is a good trick, but flying is for droids, so the senate's leap was no match for the unlimited power of the high ground.

Obi-Wan: "Chancelor Palpatine, Sith Lords are our specialty." (Count Dooku approaches). Dooku: "Your swords please. You wouldn't want to make a mess of things in front of the Dark Lord of The Sith." Anakin: "Oh don't worry Count we'll make this quick." Obi-Wan: "You won't get away this time." Dooku: "Who said I was talking about me." (Dooku said smirking). Dooku: "Kenobi you remember what I told you three years ago. How the Republic is under the control of The Dark Lord of The Sith?" Palpatine: "Why believe anything he saying. (Both Jedi, especially Anakin would look in disbelief at Palpatine as Dooku went on. He even told them about how he wanted to use Anakin. It was all starting to make sense. Obi-Wan and Anakin drew their lightsabers not at Dooku, but at Palpatine). Obi Wan: "In the name of the Galactic Republic..." Anakin: "You are under arrest." (Palpatine sent out a wave of Force lightning pushing them back, and then freed himself of his restraints). Dooku: "Get up you fools." (Dooku told them as he went over to them). Dooku: "I didn't spend all this time as a double agent to die here! Besides it will take all of us to defeat him." Anakin: "What?" Dooku: "I'll explain later if we survive this." (They all readied themselves as Palpatine got up, as two lightsabers came out of his sleves). Palpatine: "It's treason then." (Palpatine then leaped at them from across the room red sabers twirling and clashing with Dooku's, Kenobi's, and Skywalker's lightsabers). (The fight to decide the fate of the galaxy had begun). Anyone is free to use this for a "what if"/versus set up, and continue it. Just give me credit for the idea.
I think that everyone would die, and Anakin would use his power to crash the ship into Coruscant, sacrificing himself to destroy the Sith once and for all.
Obi Wan Struggles to keep up with the speed of Darth Sidious but with his hard work of training he could barley hold on. Anakin behind attacks but his light saber is cut in half. Dokku goes up to fight his Master. Dokku Exclaims "There can only be 2 sith lords and you will no longer be one of them". Sidious inraged attacks but is later cut off by Obi Wan. Sidious Approches with intense speed to knock out Obi Wan to a kick in the face. Anakin and Dokku force push Sidious against the wall dokku try to kill him but is killed with Sidious force lighting and paralazing minutes after. Anakin watching impressed with the power of the darkside. Sidious hands Anakin his light saber and tells him to finish off dokku which he does. With a blink of the eye he's gone. Obi Wan gets up and the ships power generators are about to explode.
Navi Blue I think Anakin despite wanting more power he needed a reason to go to the Dark Side. Wanting to keep Padme alive was that reason, and at that point in the story he had not had visions of his wife dying. For him to flip just because he saw the power Sidious had alone is not enough in my opinion.
They should have just arrested Palpatine during a Senate meeting, as either Palpatine attacks them and proves he is a Sith to the politicians or doesn't attack and is arrested.
They don't have evidence, only the force and say of mouth. This is why there needed to be balance on the Jedi first before the Sith. The Jedi were becoming militaristic and forcing their justice onto the world.

Obi-Wan would’ve sided with Anakin in the moment he pointed out to Yoda and Mace Windo that killing Palpatine wasn’t the Jedi way, and that he must be arrested to stand trial. Obi-Wan wasn’t corrupted like how Mace or Yoda was at the time, thanks to the teaching of Qui-Gon and he’d be more willing to see reason with Anakin’s point on the matter as a result of their friendship/brotherhood they formed over the years of being together as Master and Apprentice.

I don't know where do u get the ideas about the teachings of Qui-Gon but If Qui-Gon was there, he would have agreed with Windu that a sith or to be precise this particular sith who specializes on manipulating people , is too dangerous to live. Obi wan knows better to not to contradict Windu or Yoda. And Obi-Wan also is the only Jedi alive at that point to have faced a sith and barely managed to survive so he knows first hand how dangerous a sith is. And i know all these by reading Novels.

I like to imagine that after the fighting starts and the Jedi start doing they’re things Sidious just sits back down and starts laughing. I mean really picture this. Yoda is doing flips around the room and screaming for no reason, obi-wan and windu are standing at the top of the stairs and on top of the bodies of recently killed Jedi claiming to have the high ground.
There'd still be no first order, because the first order was just an evolved version of the empire, meaning it would basically just be Snoke, himself, and Han Solo would never meet Leia, or at-least in the same conditions, therefore Kylo Ren would never be born. So it would quite literally just be a single sith once again, like palpatine, except with no support, just a singular person.

Angry_Old_ _Man_Gamer Because Mace used a form called vaapad which basically allowed Mace to channel his own inner darkness into the deul and used his opponents power against him. This was the only reason mace beat Palpatine.
I think Anakin would have helped the jedi if he was up against Yoda and Obi Wan Kenobi because he respected them and liked them and wasn't turned completely yet and order 66 wouldn't have happened
Most Jedi were recalled after Order 66 was already executed, so it would be possible that they died, but there's one outstanding issue that may change that. Yoda, most likely, called all the Council Members back, not just Windu and Kenobi. Therefore, Mundi, Secura, and Koon would very well be alive.

I want to see an alternate version where groups of Jedi form resistance groups to go on the offensive against Order 66. It could be done, using their starfighters to knock out larger ships and strafing ground units. Jedi on the ground can take the Clone's artillery positions and use them to wipe out large groups of Clones at a time. Jedi Sentinals could hit stategically and even start civilian uprisings. It could be done... Plus they could go on to become generals for the Rebellion. I think most of the Jedi that survived Order 66 were the Sentinals. That's what I'd do if I were a Jedi.
I would've imagined they would bring Luminara, Quinlan Vos and Cin Drallig since they were all known to be good lightsaber users, along with Temple Guards tbh. Aside from that, I imagine Ahsoka would've returned earlier than usual to stop Anakin, where she would probably be able to since he's not as deep in the Sith as he was when he met Ahsoka once more.

Okay no, this whole "Mace was an arrogant prick and acted irrationally" thing is getting old. First of all, it is made abundantly clear in the ROTS novelization (which is considered Canon) that Mace did not go to arrest Palatine of his own accord. After Anakin dropped his bomb Mace immediately spoke with Yoda via holo, it was during this holoconference that BOTH Mace and Yoda decided that they needed to move against Sidious. Second, Mace's dislike and distrust of Anakin stemmed from the boys complete inability to put the needs of others ahead of his own needs, this is something that is fundamental to Jedi and Anakin's selfishness made it a problem he didn't even attempt to fix and this dislike didn't even reach its head until ROTS. Furthermore, to suggest that it was the Dark Side that coerced Mace into attacking Sidious is completely asinine, especially when the novel explicitly stated that Mace's genuinely meant to arrest Sidious. I don't know where you guys are getting the idea that Mace was some Sith restrained only by Vaapad or that he was some arrogant douche who only picked on lil Annie but all of you are way off base. Despite tapping into his more negative emotions in his fighting style the Dark Side has never compelled Mace's actions nor has he ever been in prolonged danger of falling to it. In regards to Anakin, it's almost like you people forget the part where Skywalker was fucked up in the head, he was entitled, clingy, and not open to criticism. Was it Anakin's fault that he was fucked up? Not completely but it is also true that he was aware of himself and did not accept any help with his problems, at least no help that lay outside his comfort zone. And it is equally true that Mace could not be expected to cater to the fragile ego of Anakin Skywalker. So what Mace was hard on Anakin? It meant that he had higher expectations of the "Chosen One" not that he was jealous (the idea that Mace believed that he was the Chosen One is completely unsupported). Virtually ALL of the Jedi Order treated Anakin with distance and it was only Yoda, Obi Wan, and Mace that tried to correct his flaws. Apologies if I sound rude and if I seem to be taking this too seriously, but of the SW mythos Mace Windu is among my top 5 and to hear these misconceptions so often has gotten annoying.
wjb61274123 You make some good points about Mace. I'm also not convinced that Yoda would send Anakin back to Sidious to continue spying on him. In ROTS, when Mace and Obi-Wan are discussing Anakin's assignment with Yoda, you can tell that Yoda seems slightly troubled when Mace says: "It's very dangerous, putting them together. I don't think the boy can handle it. I don't trust him." If Yoda were to learn that Palpatine was indeed Sidious, I don't believe that he would have wanted to give Sidious any more chances to manipulate Anakin, and would have probably kept them as far apart as possible.

People attempt to make it seem as though Mace was the only Council Master who was cautious about Anakin, in truth the ENTIRE Jedi Council was wary of Anakin and Mace was just the voicebox they channeled their concerns into. Andrew Stokes First Off, I would never dismiss your opinion just because you might be a fanboy, everyone is a fanboy to an extent. One issue with Windu being "too" vocal is that until ROTS he was never openly hostile to Anakin. Prior to that (in legends and Canon) it was Mace who reassured Kenobi about Anakin, expounded to Anakin the harsh realities of being a Jedi, and praised him for killing Dooku. And even by the time frame of ROTS Mace only openly displayed hostility when Anakin had a temper tantrum about not getting promoted to Master. Hell in the novel it is made clear that Anakin nearly attacked Mace over his promotion. As to your point about Mace being a hypocrite and not quite up to snuff, could you please elaborate? I have an idea what you're getting at but I need examples of your claim in order for me to counter them. As to the point of Mace not being what he is touted to be just let me say that I disagree. Not only was Mace the top of his class he was also a Jedi Master at the age of 28. Additionally, numerous sources praise Mace as both an accomplished diplomat and a fierce warrior. As far as Anakin and Mace's relationship I believe there was indeed hostility on both sides towards the end but I don't believe it was because Anakin saw Windu as "unworthy" . Rather it was the inevitable conflict between two type A males unable to understand or sympathize with the others viewpoint. As far as establishing an unstable alliance I don't see how you can blame that on Mace. The Jedi are bound to the Republic and the only Jedi with the authority to sever those ties is the Grandmaster. Yoda is the Grandmaster and it is up to him to separate the Jedi from the Republic, not Mace. And whatever alliance the Jedi had with the Republic/Palpatine was on thin ice for years, not only had Palatine managed to stay in office well beyond his term but he had become nothing short of a dictator. Martial law was the flavor of the day circa ROTS and the ENTIRE ORDER was sick of it, none of the aforementioned stemmed from Mace Windu. Lastly, I've already said that the way Anakin turned out isn't completely his fault. Anakin doesn't need to show the Jedi that the Galaxy isn't all sunshine and rainbows, they're well aware. Furthermore Anakin wasn't the only Jedi with a tough upbringing Eeth Koth was an orphan on a trash world ruled by the Hutts, A'sharad Hett saw his father murdered in front of him, Ki Adi Mundi's entire family was killed in the clone Wars, Obi Wan lost two loves in the Clone War and Mace's padawan lost her mind during the war . I ask you, what does Anakin have to prove? Jedi know that the Galaxy and people can be fucked up, but they rise above it and try to be the light in a dark room. Well, I feel it's sometimes best to keep a true opinion of someone locked away as it could potentially hurt the brotherhood you have taken part in. Also, he was openly hostile towards Anakin when he wouldn't allow him to join the fight against Sidious where Mace says 'If what you've told me is true, you would've gained my trust' at the end of the war where he's won so many victories for the galaxy and for the order that definitely hurt his morale. If that was at the beginning of the war, I would understand as Anakin was a very arrogant padawan learner who hadn't done too much other than be more of a distraction. Also, the fact of the matter is Anakin would've been given a history lesson on most of the Jedi on the council from Obi Wan during his training and he would know that Windu is more unique and he probably brought up the form of combat Mace uses to illustrate his point. After hearing this, Anakin is left baffled due to every single Jedi saying the dark side is something to avoid while Mace uses it to further his own gain, I'm sure if you were in Anakin's position and looked at it from his point of view something would seem out of place as the Master of the Order is using the powers of the dark side for a potentially selfish goal? I'm sure that would be somewhat sketchy right. Furthermore, if you look at it from the view of Anakin Mace is using the dark side of the force to gain his power and for his duelling, is it likely he's been doing this since he was a padawan under Yoda? Yes it is and Yoda understood Mace's abilities but the way he went about it annoyed his master so looking at it from Ani's viewpoint, if he had to gain his powers from the dark side but he blasts Jedi like Dooku, Qui Gon and now Anakin for dark emotions clouding their judgement on certain subjects reinforces my point about Mace not being all that he's hailed as and a hypocritical dick. Perhaps I wasn't as clear as I thought I was, the unstable alliance was through Mace and Anakin not Anakin and the Jedi but I feel even that wasn't too special as Anakin never interacted with many other Jedi overall. Also, with Mace and Anakin it was more of a differing set of ideals compared to one another and they almost never saw eye to eye on anything which would never set up a good relationship between them and Mace being so critical of him at the start definitely didn't paint a nice picture of Mace in Ani's head so yeah. Type 4 was Ataru, the Lightsaber that uses the most athletic, movement-filled form. A notable used is Yoda, and I think Darth Maul incorporated some of the form's use. Type 3, Soresu, is a defensive form. That's why Obi-Wan is called the negotiator. He can stop a war before it starts and even in combat he's defensive. Waiting for an opening, then attacking. Who says one quick jab would throw him off?

The only issue. Palpatine knew at this point anakin told on him. So this doesn’t work. Sideous knee the Jedi knew about him so he wouldn’t just be ok with it. And he wouldn’t fall for a lie like that. So I disagree here.

Given that Mace Windu, himself admitted that the power of Darth Sidious' Force-lightning was beyond Vaapad, it seems pretty likely that he would have killed Mace Windu, had he continued his attack, which he only ceased, because he pretended to lose his power, as George Lucas confirmed in the director's commentary of the movie. It's also pretty clear from watching the movie that Sidious wasn't helpless and could have defended himself, at any moment as shown when he threw Mace out of the window with Force-lightning.

The father would've probably been more resistant to the tuskens and would either have escaped or been killed MUCH faster, therefore not allowing Anakin to sense his father in distress. So actually, it could turn out ALOT more different because of this factor.
Good theory but unlikely Yoda was only council member with good relations with Wookiees. (To my knowledge) Wookiees would not trust other outsiders as much.
Palpatine would be hesitant to attack Anakin therefore instead of holding back his power (which is what he does in the movie) he would go all out, in hopes to kill the four jedi before Anakin tries to intervene, if he didn't do it fast enough and Anakin did attack him, Palpatine would be hesitant, but would kill him in the end, then leaving just him and Windu once again, then the exact same scenario would play out EXCEPT, since he wasn't fooling around he would've already grabbed his second lightsaber from the vase at some point during the scenario so he would most likely have been able to defeat Mace Windu, therefore allowing him to go on to initiate order 66. After that almost everything would play out the same, but instead of Darth Vader having to kill the remaining jedi, the inquisitors would have to end up doing it themselves. Obi Wan would then have asked Yoda in assisting him to take down Darth Sidious, just like in the movie, but this time, Obi Wan is with Yoda to confront him, so the two jedi would end up on top, and since they know the senate is already corrupt and many of the Jedi Council are already dead, they would end up killing him. After that, both Obi Wan and Yoda would go into hiding, just like the movies, Leia would go to Senator Organa and Luke would go to Obi Wan, and the whole thing would pretty much happening the same way, except Grand Moff Tarkin would take FULL leadership of the Empire instead of Darth Sidious and he would be less of a psychopath/sociopath so he would be a lot more tactical in what he does and things would play out a lot more differently, but I can't be assed to go into more detail after this point, because it just gets a bit too complicated for me after that point xD
OH, you made me just have a great idea, Dooku would find Maul and would train him all he knew of the force, and he would essentially take leadership, so instead of Sidious and Vader, it would be Dooku and Maul.

(Both Jedi, especially Anakin would look in disbelief at Palpatine as Dooku went on. He even told them about how he wanted to use Anakin. It was all starting to make sense. Obi-Wan and Anakin drew their lightsabers not at Dooku, but at Palpatine).
Obi Wan: "In the name of the Galactic Republic..."
Anakin: "You are under arrest."
(Palpatine sent out a wave of Force lightning pushing them back, and then freed himself of his restraints).
Dooku: "Get up you fools."
(Dooku told them as he went over to them).
Dooku: "I didn't spend all this time as a double agent to die here! Besides it will take all of us to defeat him."
Anakin: "What?"
Dooku: "I'll explain later if we survive this."
(They all readied themselves as Palpatine got up, as two lightsabers came out of his sleves).

(Palpatine then leaped at them from across the room red sabers twirling and clashing with Dooku's, Kenobi's, and Skywalker's lightsabers).
(The fight to decide the fate of the galaxy had begun).

I think that everyone would die, and Anakin would use his power to crash the ship into Coruscant, sacrificing himself to destroy the Sith once and for all.
Obi Wan Struggles to keep up with the speed of Darth Sidious but with his hard work of training he could barley hold on. Anakin behind attacks but his light saber is cut in half. Dokku goes up to fight his Master. Dokku Exclaims "There can only be 2 sith lords and you will no longer be one of them". Sidious inraged attacks but is later cut off by Obi Wan. Sidious Approches with intense speed to knock out Obi Wan to a kick in the face. Anakin and Dokku force push Sidious against the wall dokku try to kill him but is killed with Sidious force lighting and paralazing minutes after. Anakin watching impressed with the power of the darkside. Sidious hands Anakin his light saber and tells him to finish off dokku which he does. With a blink of the eye he's gone. Obi Wan gets up and the ships power generators are about to explode.
Navi Blue I think Anakin despite wanting more power he needed a reason to go to the Dark Side. Wanting to keep Padme alive was that reason, and at that point in the story he had not had visions of his wife dying. For him to flip just because he saw the power Sidious had alone is not enough in my opinion.
They should have just arrested Palpatine during a Senate meeting, as either Palpatine attacks them and proves he is a Sith to the politicians or doesn't attack and is arrested.
They don't have evidence, only the force and say of mouth. This is why there needed to be balance on the Jedi first before the Sith. The Jedi were becoming militaristic and forcing their justice onto the world.

Obi-Wan would’ve sided with Anakin in the moment he pointed out to Yoda and Mace Windo that killing Palpatine wasn’t the Jedi way, and that he must be arrested to stand trial. Obi-Wan wasn’t corrupted like how Mace or Yoda was at the time, thanks to the teaching of Qui-Gon and he’d be more willing to see reason with Anakin’s point on the matter as a result of their friendship/brotherhood they formed over the years of being together as Master and Apprentice.

I don't know where do u get the ideas about the teachings of Qui-Gon but If Qui-Gon was there, he would have agreed with Windu that a sith or to be precise this particular sith who specializes on manipulating people , is too dangerous to live. There'd still be no first order, because the first order was just an evolved version of the empire, meaning it would basically just be Snoke, himself, and Han Solo would never meet Leia, or at-least in the same conditions, therefore Kylo Ren would never be born. I want to see an alternate version where groups of Jedi form resistance groups to go on the offensive against Order 66. It could be done, using their starfighters to knock out larger ships and strafing ground units. Jedi on the ground can take the Clone's artillery positions and use them to wipe out large groups of Clones at a time. Jedi Sentinals could hit stategically and even start civilian uprisings. It could be done... Plus they could go on to become generals for the Rebellion. I think most of the Jedi that survived Order 66 were the Sentinals. That's what I'd do if I were a Jedi.

First of all, it is made abundantly clear in the ROTS novelization (which is considered Canon) that Mace did not go to arrest Palatine of his own accord. After Anakin dropped his bomb Mace immediately spoke with Yoda via holo, it was during this holoconference that BOTH Mace and Yoda decided that they needed to move against Sidious. Second, Mace's dislike and distrust of Anakin stemmed from the boys complete inability to put the needs of others ahead of his own needs, this is something that is fundamental to Jedi and Anakin's selfishness made it a problem he didn't even attempt to fix and this dislike didn't even reach its head until ROTS. Furthermore, to suggest that it was the Dark Side that coerced Mace into attacking Sidious is completely asinine, especially when the novel explicitly stated that Mace's genuinely meant to arrest Sidious. I don't know where you guys are getting the idea that Mace was some Sith restrained only by Vaapad or that he was some arrogant douche who only picked on lil Annie but all of you are way off base. Despite tapping into his more negative emotions in his fighting style the Dark Side has never compelled Mace's actions nor has he ever been in prolonged danger of falling to it. In regards to Anakin, it's almost like you people forget the part where Skywalker was fucked up in the head, he was entitled, clingy, and not open to criticism. Was it Anakin's fault that he was fucked up? Not completely but it is also true that he was aware of himself and did not accept any help with his problems, at least no help that lay outside his comfort zone. And it is equally true that Mace could not be expected to cater to the fragile ego of Anakin Skywalker. So what Mace was hard on Anakin? It meant that he had higher expectations of the "Chosen One" not that he was jealous (the idea that Mace believed that he was the Chosen One is completely unsupported). Virtually ALL of the Jedi Order treated Anakin with distance and it was only Yoda, Obi Wan, and Mace that tried to correct his flaws.
Apologies if I sound rude and if I seem to be taking this too seriously, but of the SW mythos Mace Windu is among my top 5 and to hear these misconceptions so often has gotten annoying.

In ROTS, when Mace and Obi-Wan are discussing Anakin's assignment with Yoda, you can tell that Yoda seems slightly troubled when Mace says: "It's very dangerous, putting them together. I don't think the boy can handle it. I don't trust him." If Yoda were to learn that Palpatine was indeed Sidious, I don't believe that he would have wanted to give Sidious any more chances to manipulate Anakin, and would have probably kept them as far apart as possible.

People attempt to make it seem as though Mace was the only Council Master who was cautious about Anakin, in truth the ENTIRE Jedi Council was wary of Anakin and Mace was just the voicebox they channeled their concerns into. And yes, there is no way that Yoda would send the already unbalanced Anakin back to Sidious.
Andrew Stokes First Off, I would never dismiss your opinion just because you might be a fanboy, everyone is a fanboy to an extent.
One issue with Windu being "too" vocal is that until ROTS he was never openly hostile to Anakin. Prior to that (in legends and Canon) it was Mace who reassured Kenobi about Anakin, expounded to Anakin the harsh realities of being a Jedi, and praised him for killing Dooku. And even by the time frame of ROTS Mace only openly displayed hostility when Anakin had a temper tantrum about not getting promoted to Master. Hell in the novel it is made clear that Anakin nearly attacked Mace over his promotion.
As to your point about Mace being a hypocrite and not quite up to snuff, could you please elaborate? I have an idea what you're getting at but I need examples of your claim in order for me to counter them. As to the point of Mace not being what he is touted to be just let me say that I disagree. Not only was Mace the top of his class he was also a Jedi Master at the age of 28. Additionally, numerous sources praise Mace as both an accomplished diplomat and a fierce warrior.
As far as Anakin and Mace's relationship I believe there was indeed hostility on both sides towards the end but I don't believe it was because Anakin saw Windu as "unworthy" . Rather it was the inevitable conflict between two type A males unable to understand or sympathize with the others viewpoint.
As far as establishing an unstable alliance I don't see how you can blame that on Mace. The Jedi are bound to the Republic and the only Jedi with the authority to sever those ties is the Grandmaster. Yoda is the Grandmaster and it is up to him to separate the Jedi from the Republic, not Mace. And whatever alliance the Jedi had with the Republic/Palpatine was on thin ice for years, not only had Palatine managed to stay in office well beyond his term but he had become nothing short of a dictator. Martial law was the flavor of the day circa ROTS and the ENTIRE ORDER was sick of it, none of the aforementioned stemmed from Mace Windu.
Lastly, I've already said that the way Anakin turned out isn't completely his fault. Anakin doesn't need to show the Jedi that the Galaxy isn't all sunshine and rainbows, they're well aware. Furthermore Anakin wasn't the only Jedi with a tough upbringing Eeth Koth was an orphan on a trash world ruled by the Hutts, A'sharad Hett saw his father murdered in front of him, Ki Adi Mundi's entire family was killed in the clone Wars, Obi Wan lost two loves in the Clone War and Mace's padawan lost her mind during the war . I ask you, what does Anakin have to prove? Jedi know that the Galaxy and people can be fucked up, but they rise above it and try to be the light in a dark room. Jedi suffer then try to move on for the sake of others, Anakin suffers then thinks of himself and his desires.

Well, I feel it's sometimes best to keep a true opinion of someone locked away as it could potentially hurt the brotherhood you have taken part in. Also, he was openly hostile towards Anakin when he wouldn't allow him to join the fight against Sidious where Mace says 'If what you've told me is true, you would've gained my trust' at the end of the war where he's won so many victories for the galaxy and for the order that definitely hurt his morale. If that was at the beginning of the war, I would understand as Anakin was a very arrogant padawan learner who hadn't done too much other than be more of a distraction.
Also, the fact of the matter is Anakin would've been given a history lesson on most of the Jedi on the council from Obi Wan during his training and he would know that Windu is more unique and he probably brought up the form of combat Mace uses to illustrate his point. After hearing this, Anakin is left baffled due to every single Jedi saying the dark side is something to avoid while Mace uses it to further his own gain, I'm sure if you were in Anakin's position and looked at it from his point of view something would seem out of place as the Master of the Order is using the powers of the dark side for a potentially selfish goal? I'm sure that would be somewhat sketchy right.
Furthermore, if you look at it from the view of Anakin Mace is using the dark side of the force to gain his power and for his duelling, is it likely he's been doing this since he was a padawan under Yoda? Yes it is and Yoda understood Mace's abilities but the way he went about it annoyed his master so looking at it from Ani's viewpoint, if he had to gain his powers from the dark side but he blasts Jedi like Dooku, Qui Gon and now Anakin for dark emotions clouding their judgement on certain subjects reinforces my point about Mace not being all that he's hailed as and a hypocritical dick.
Perhaps I wasn't as clear as I thought I was, the unstable alliance was through Mace and Anakin not Anakin and the Jedi but I feel even that wasn't too special as Anakin never interacted with many other Jedi overall. Also, with Mace and Anakin it was more of a differing set of ideals compared to one another and they almost never saw eye to eye on anything which would never set up a good relationship between them and Mace being so critical of him at the start definitely didn't paint a nice picture of Mace in Ani's head so yeah.

Type 4 was Ataru, the Lightsaber that uses the most athletic, movement-filled form. A notable used is Yoda, and I think Darth Maul incorporated some of the form's use.
Type 3, Soresu, is a defensive form. That's why Obi-Wan is called the negotiator. He can stop a war before it starts and even in combat he's defensive. Waiting for an opening, then attacking.

Force-lightning was beyond Vaapad, it seems pretty likely that he would have killed Mace Windu, had he continued his attack, which he only ceased, because he pretended to lose his power, as George Lucas confirmed in the director's commentary of the movie. It's also pretty clear from watching the movie that Sidious wasn't helpless and could have defended himself, at any moment as shown when he threw Mace out of the window with Force-lightning.

What if Mace Windu brought Anakin with him to fight Palpatinew

Palpatine would be hesitant to attack Anakin therefore instead of holding back his power (which is what he does in the movie) he would go all out, in hopes to kill the four jedi before Anakin tries to intervene, if he didn't do it fast enough and Anakin did attack him, Palpatine would be hesitant, but would kill him in the end, then leaving just him and Windu once again, then the exact same scenario would play out EXCEPT, since he wasn't fooling around he would've already grabbed his second lightsaber from the vase at some point during the scenario so he would most likely have been able to defeat Mace Windu, therefore allowing him to go on to initiate order 66. After that almost everything would play out the same, but instead of Darth Vader having to kill the remaining jedi, the inquisitors would have to end up doing it themselves. Obi Wan would then have asked Yoda in assisting him to take down Darth Sidious, just like in the movie, but this time, Obi Wan is with Yoda to confront him, so the two jedi would end up on top, and since they know the senate is already corrupt and many of the Jedi Council are already dead, they would end up killing him. After that, both Obi Wan and Yoda would go into hiding, just like the movies, Leia would go to Senator Organa and Luke would go to Obi Wan, and the whole thing would pretty much happening the same way, except Grand Moff Tarkin would take FULL leadership of the Empire instead of Darth Sidious and he would be less of a psychopath/sociopath so he would be a lot more tactical in what he does and things would play out a lot more differently, but I can't be assed to go into more detail after this point, because it just gets a bit too complicated for me after that point xD
I think that might cause an election to happen for chancellor, but Tarkin could still take over since he is pretty much in charge of the military.

OH, you made me just have a great idea, Dooku would find Maul and would train him all he knew of the force, and he would essentially take leadership, so instead of Sidious and Vader, it would be Dooku and Maul.
