I grew up in a very tiny community in Oregon. Allegany ,Or Lived in Eugene/ Springfield for 35 yrs. Now in a smaller town again. I’m almost 74 and lived in Oregon for most of my life. I wouldn’t want to live any other state. Love the rain!
I'm now 72 and having lived in Oregon all but 4 months of my life, I can be very proud of being called a true blue Oregonian and glad to live e here too
Portland born but have been all over the state having family in Prineville and Klamath Falls. The Beaver state has a lot to offer. I love the painted hills and gorge, having lived in Troutdale in my youth. Moved to Vancouver for better home pricing, but I won’t ever stray far from this beautiful area. I’m super lucky. It’s pronounced “Will-am-it” river not Willa-met ;).
The Beaver state is where I was born and raised, I love its beauty and diversity, it has changed a lot but I will always love this state❤ I have been to all the places you’ve shown, and continue to be amazed,
Wow, truly overwhelmed by the magical beauty of Oregon! The video took me through scenery from majestic mountains and deep green forests to pristine beaches and breathtaking waterfalls-each picturesque. Thanks for creating such a great video!
I’ve lived in Bend almost 20 years. There is a big difference between western Oregon and Eastern Oregon. The west is liberal and crowded and the east is conservative and rural. The west gets a lot of rain and the east is the high desert.
Hi, I live in liberal oregon and it sucks. Nothing worse than lesbo a gogo having an abortion march in a town of 1200 people. There is a yuge differance. lol. PS, If I offend, was not intended but hey, maybe diapers are finally on sale now that TRUMP, Trumped the dems again Have a nice one. ❤
Your mention of Vista House and Emigrant Lake illustrates the state's beautiful views. Great destinations include Sparks Lake, Willamette Valley, Smith Rock, and the Painted Hills. Oregon is a treasure trove of natural wonders-thank you for your comprehensive travel guide! Where was your favorite?
I live in Portland, Oregon and we all call. Keep it weird keep Portland weird but the real trick of the trade is yes keep working green. It’s called the Evergreen state
You stated the lighthouse was Yaquina Bay. You have it wrong. Yaquina Bay is in Newport, near the coastguard station. The lighthouse you were showing is the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. Two completely different lighthouses. Thank you!
Oregon is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is a part of the Western U.S., with the Columbia River delineating much of Oregon's northern boundary with Washington, while the Snake River delineates much of its eastern boundary with Idaho.
My sister lived in West Lynn/ Lake Oswego area - totally amazing how every thing was so green & lush. Would have liked to seen Northeastern Oregon, Enterpise/Joseph (the Wallowa Mountains.) Awesome presentation, I feel myself lucky to live in the Northwest!
Forever Eugene was 2nd biggest city. Not sure when Salem passed it. Born in Orygone in '60, all but 2-1/2 years here at 64. Have lived in every region except southern.
These videos are so beautiful, will you ever make a video on Michigan, USA? I'd love to see the beauty of Michigan displayed in one of your videos. I heard Pictured Rocks is amazing.
@@jmacker8762😆 Thank you! I've lived in Oregon for 35 years , hiked and camped all over, and I've never heard of "Carter" lake. I'm so glad you posted the correction. That was my laugh for the day.
This total Faux pas in the ability to properly pronouncing Willamette could be forgiven by tourists. It is not excitable by someone who is making a video about my state. Oh and the Rogue river does not flow through Ash-Land. If you are going to make a video about someplace you do a better job at researching the place.
Beautiful photography. 😃 This would have been a great video if you had worked with someone familiar with the Geography of the State and the pronunciation of landmarks with beautiful native Indian names. 🤨
Oregon and Washington are beautiful states! But to live right on top of the Cascadia Subduction Zone? I’ll pass. (I did archaeological work near Bend in 1979.)
1. The photography is beautiful and well done. 2. The choices left out many worthwhile sights in Eastern Oregon, while including several towns which, although nice enough, are nothing special in comparison with natural features of the eastern half IMO. 3. The prose accompanying the phototagraphy is repetitive, purple and frankly boring (as is the horrid droning music). I eventually turned off the sound and played a CD. Skip the "lush, rich, vibrant, breathtaking, stunning, etc." and let the pictures speak for themselves.
I did the same. Beautiful visuals paired with a podcast was perfect. I will save this vid to use as moving art while I'm just dinking around the house. 😁
Be aware if you want to camp nearly anywhere, you'll need to make a reservation 2 yrs out. Not sure how they managed to get pictures on sunny days without wall to wall people. Go to northern california.... its prettier, the weathers better & the people are nicer.
While the videography is nice, the geographic cohesion is missing. This video is all over the state, having points of interest that are in the same area separated to make them seem far from each other. I didn't care for that at all, and if you were a tourist using this as a guide, you'd be so confused trying to plan a trip. Also, the name of many places was off - it's the Will- am-ett, not Will-a-mett. There os no Frenchie Falls state park. Frenchie Falls is located with Silver Falls State Parl, which contains a number of waterfalls and hiking trails amid the lush temperate rain forest in the Cascade mountains.
I love it , docu and Oregon but have to say....Oregon has alot of logging roads that go no where and fires happen. There is also Fentanyl, meth, alcohol, serial stalkers possibly killers, bad water and Fugitives. Oregon is beautiful but becareful who you follow and do plenty of research!! ❤💜
Ok, so Pilot Rock in Southern Oregon is nowhere near the Umatilla National Forest, which is in Northeast Oregon. All those drone shots of the University of Oregon with no mention of its importance and impact on Eugene? (Second largest city in Oregon, btw) Yeah, you pronounce Willamette incorrectly. No mention of Oregon's only National Park? Frenchie Falls is just one of the many waterfalls in Silver Falls State Park. Definitely not the State Parks namesake. Glad you included the meth capital of Oregon, but no spotlight on Bend? No mention of any of the many other beautiful mountains in central Oregon? Shame. Overall, 6/10, but next time you visit Oregon, try to venture away from the I5 corridor a bit more... Oregon has WAY more! Try NE & SE Oregon too!
Nice videos of my home state. But...Learn how to pronounce the names of these places you continually miss pronounce some of the most common names in Oregon starting with Willamette Valley/River it's pronounced Will-lam-mit.
If your going to do these videos, do your research so that you pronounce things correctly. Washington and Oregon videos have mispronunciations. Other than that annoyance I enjoyed the videos.
Dump the AI CRAP and the fake European accent, 2x speed makes it tolerable. Great photography, from coast to inland back to coast completely random without intentional purpose, got dizzy from the ping pong editing. Give up the idea that you can create a travel reference channel, you're bouncing all over the state randomly then at 1:09 the reference to Alaska 3 times, shows your sloppy editing. Didn't mention the Cascadia subduction hazard.
Oregon is an amazing place, hard not to record stunning visuals. But the crappy editing and the god awful AI script and narration kind of ruined the the vid.

As a born and raised Oregonian, while the pictures were beautiful, that was painful to listen to.

I lived in Oregon my 80 years and have traveled most of the states except Alaska and can find no other state I’d rather live in. 😊😊😊
Thank you for sharing that! Oregon must truly be a special place to hold such a lasting place in your heart after all these years and travels.

Madras, Bend and John Day should have been on this list. Take out all those waterfalls and lighthouse.
