However, that would take extreme discipline to save $6k just for taxes. Crazy. I am so proud of you for all the things you’re saving for. I have done all the things but I have never gotten the hang of it. I try to save but I need tons of money to even feel like I’m doing it. I remember at one time you also had several empty envelopes. What changed? How did you make the system work for you? Just budget differently every paycheck so that some can get money one week and then others can get some money next week? Mine are Japan because we need a certain amount saved before the trip, car maintenance because I want at least $5k for an emergency. Then I will start stuffing other envelopes!
