The Al Janoub Stadium (lit. "Stadium of the South", former name Al Wakrah Stadium) is one of the eight stadiums used for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. One of the stadium's designers was the famous female architect Zaha Hadid, who unfortunately had already passed away when the stadium opened in 2019.
The stadium is now home to Al-Wakrah SC football club and its current spectator capacity is about 20,000 seats.
