- I met up with T-Pain at Brew City Bangers in Wisconsin for some drift action in his Ford RTR Mustang built by Vaughn Gittin Jr. and then we hit the final show of his Road to Wiscansin tour! Good times. I gave him some very unprofessional drift pointers and most improtantly taught him how to do a burnout.

I admire Tpain for his sincerity towards learning how to drift. Dude has the means, has the cars, and still shows humility and excitment when learning from Hert (btw excelent teacher). Sometimes the auto comunity is too much toxic when new people start asking questions. Glad to see that sense of camaraderie is not totally lost in the drift circles

For real though, you're a really good instructor Hert. It's hard to appreciate all the challenges involved with teaching someone to drift until you see this perspective. It's easy to tell T-Pain definitely has the right understanding of car control to continue progressing. Hyped to see him reach his goals, but perhaps more importantly enjoy the journey.

Hert, you're an excellent teacher. You encourage but at the same time you keep it real and true. That's a hard balance to find and you're right in the sweet spot.

I love watching this because I’ve been there too and still am. My first time trying donuts and drifting I was so nervous but hert is right and so was my friends. In that moment you’re just focusing on you and your car and nobody else and honestly nobody in the drift community expects a new drifter to be some pro and they’re always so helpful to teach you along the way. You’ll get there T Pain!

Also driving in snow is one of the ways i learned car control, snap over/under steer, throttle modulation and most importantly grip. Id advise any new drifter to drive in snow with a beater rwd good part is you can use a crown vic or cheap car to get into it. Not a formula drift car, but its nice when you have one.
