I still have nightmares at 40 years old. I couldn't touch someone intimately without panic until 30. I grew up thinking there was something wrong with me for not liking it. That's rough buddy. I remember some girls in highschool were pinching my cheeks on breaks, while we were waiting for the teacher to come. I told them politely many times to stop, but they ignored it. Until one day when they tried to pinch me again, I slapped them and warned them to stop or else they would be sorry. Everyone was shocked, because I was the most quiet child in the class, but soon after the criticism started. At least, no other girl touched or talked to me ever again. So, I concluded that, even if they call you violent or a misogynist, some aggressiveness might help you stay out of harm's way. If they know you are no pushover, they will think twice before doing anything to you.

CPS was called to my house when I was in middle school due to my mom physically attacking me. The MALE CPS agent took one look at a single black mother crying crocodile tears, turned to the Catholic school girl and said that "I needed to be more grateful to my mother" My abuser. Child Protective Services told me that I needed to be more grateful to my abuser because I was in a "good school" that *my dad was paying for at the time* and that "she works too hard to be disrespected by an ungrateful spoiled brat." I really can't say how much I hate society because of this double standard. I'm glad my mom(and older sisters) actually stood up for me and kicked my cousin out of her house. @mobyhuge I'm doing better. I have adhd, bipolar, and sometimes depression. My counselor in high-school thought it was a result of my childhood trauma. I started taking medication, but now I'm 32 and I took myself off those medications because I wanted to deal with my adhd and bipolar on my own, I didn't want to resort to medication my whole life. (Which is working out ok for the most part. I do have some issues every now and again though.) One major issue that I have that's not improved at all, is my bad social skills. Its why I have no friends IRL and why I'm still single... well that, and I'm ugly as hell. (I also have low self esteem and low self confidence which is difficult to build up and super easy to tear down.) One of my negative things about me is I don't take negativity well.
People call me a snowflake because I don't like getting hate comments and threats.

I hope you find a good care team and support system. Just remember you came into this world perfectly fine. You just have to find yourself again instead of the twisted mess she made. I hope you find peace and quiet

People tend to think this only happens to girls, but young boys are also taught by society that their future value comes from sex, that you should desire sex as soon as possible, and that you should give in to your impulses whenever puberty strikes.

I think the person calling a toy company groomers for having a LGBTQ flag were not talking about the sexual preditor type, but the abusive type. Basically, expanding the term "groomer" to apply to educating children about sexual topics they are way too young for. Essentially "grooming" them to be anything but straight.
While a dangerous issue that needs addressing, the term used needs correcting.
