Clever is a good description…a small set of versatile & powerful tools. If you can figure out how to do your thing with them, you’re off to the races. ✌️🍷🎩🎩🎩
Hello! So if you wanted to keep your feet grounded, would you just need to counter animate to offset from the torso’s up and down? I’d love to rig a whole character, just wondering if the lack of IK feet feels to clunky
I would draw guides on a separate layer to keep the feet grounded to the guide on the ground and use the body or hips as the main object to link the other limbs to. There is no tool yet to snap the feet to the ground. You have to do it manually.
Hey Stayf, great video! I'm having an issue. I have a perfectly smooth looping 29 frame walkcycle as an animation clip. When I insert it into the main timeline I'm getting 2 extra static frames added to the first 2 frames of the main timeline causing the animation clip to start animating on the 3rd frame of the main timeline creating a slight pause at the beginning where the extra frames are. Have you ever seen this? Do I have to make sure that the main timeline frame count is in multiples of 29 to match the animation clip frame count? Would love your thoughts on this. I couldn't find anything on this specific issue in the handbook. Thanks.
I am also a content creator and I would like to ask you to put the transcription of the classes in other languages as in my case in Portuguese, it is very simple within RUclips itself, this would help a lot because it is a new tool and there are few tutorials and training . Thank you
Hello Owen. When you start with ToonSquid it is quite overwhelming. I have made a Playlist with more ToonSquid video's You can view it here: ruclips.net/p/PLN-kPOo3iKJNj-jDPhIuxF-8RlH8h0h3m
Hello, I greatly appreciate your ToonSquid videos! I think your descriptions are clear and your pacing is good. I have a couple of questions for you about making selections, specifically about making selections across multiple layers and selecting multiple frames within a layer. For instance, at around the 9 minute mark in this video you manually copy and paste several keyframe settings for the Body layer from frame 1 to frame 24. Isn’t there a way to select the same frame in multiple layers at once? I would also like to be able to select multiple contiguous (or not) frames within a single layer to copy and paste elsewhere. When I search the developer’s handbook and discussion groups I don’t see any mention of this. I’ve tried selecting with both a pencil and with a keyboard/touchpad connected to my iPad. Perhaps I’m not searching the right way. Are you aware of any solutions to these problems? Thank you very much!
That is actually what works. But you need to tap and slide to make the selection. With some practice I mastered it. It’s not the most easy way to select multiple frames.
Great tutorial! Toonsquid is such a clever animation app for iPad. Can't wait to see more!

You can double tap and hold + drag to select several key frames at once to copy paste all of them
Thanks for the tip!
Thanks Stayf, much appreciated! 🙏🙏🙏 I like the simplicity of this set of tools. They work for non-geeks. 🍷🎩👍
Brilliant was using Procreate Dreams but ToonSquid seems to allow more precision, love the rigging of the character… super cool
Loving this app
thanks ......for giving new tips .....
Great tutorial! Thank you!
Another great tutorial 👌
great job--thank you!

Have they upgraded the copy and paste function? Like hovering over the entire body and pasting a keyframe on the timeline? Less time consuming lol

I never had that problem. Best thing to do is to contact the developer. It seems like a bug.
Will do. Thanks for your speedy response Stayf!@@StayfDraws

Guys I just don’t know why my comments disappear after some time

Is there a way to convert the motion tween into keyframes?
Or is there a way to make keyframes but turn off the tweening
Excuse me, I'm new to this app and I really want to know how you squeeze the shape in toon squid, like what you animate the hippo head. Please help😢
Did you use the "traditional" or "keyframes" when making the file?
I used the key frames to animate the cycle.
Can’t start this if I don’t know how you made the parts.
Is there a folder option? Cuadr this terrify me see all the layer

I did just see another comment where someone suggested a double tap/hold and drag solution. That just doesn’t seem to happen for me. Thanks anyway!

@@StayfDraws Thank you for your response. I did have to fool around with the technique a little. It works for me now. All good.
How to save the project for easy reuse?
Even better is to export the project. Then you can import the animation clips into a new project .
Hi brother. can i know if this app supports ipad 9 generation?
Mine is 8th generation and the app works well.
😃👍🙋🏻♂️
Omg. No more copy, paste, merge repeat 🎉
Kindly add lip-sync tutorial
Exactly what I was looking for @sirbag
