Hey Lexi, Ive been following your channel since I started beauty school last year and I can say I really learned alot about haircolor, highlighting and balayage from watching all of your videos and seeing how passionate you are about your craft just fuels my passion and creativity even more. I just finished beauty school and got my cosmetology license and I cant wait to use what I learned into action. You inspire me so much.
Jadè Dunnell congratulations on finishing! I'm still working on it but been doing hair for years!
Ur videos are amazing !!! I’ve been doing hair for 8 years and just recently started doing color I don’t know why I’ve always been so scared to do it but now that I’ve started im realizing it’s so much fun and I love the whole process of just changing someone’s look. Thanks for your videos very informative I’ve learned a lot. I love how you put the foil on top of the balayage paddle & then apply the color makes it so much easier! I’ve never even thought to do that lol :)
this looks great and I love doing my own thing and incorporating lowlights and highlights where I like instead of traditional ways. you definitely have a great glowing personality in your hair art work. I was wondering if you can do some more of explanation on how to choose which colors and how you predict the color outcome. I'm good with the color wheel and understand how to lighten if you want a different level but I'm having a hard time with how to formulate a specific color or what toner to use when if that makes sense. I'm working on it though! thanks for the videos! they're helping me so much!!
Thanks! This is the only video on RUclips that explains when to use highlights and when to use lowlights!
You do such great blends. I actually use Wella color charm as toners with 5 volume and they give me great results. Like shades, they have a very wide range of colors to blend for the perfect finish.
This is sooooo dope! I also see what you mean about using Goldwell's Colorance. I'm getting into the habit of finding what will work for me as far as demi/toners as I work on practicing blonding techniques and formulations! Your videos have always been helpful and I'm glad that you post these videos as well as mention what you're using and how you're using it to give us (stylists and non-stylists) an understanding as to why formulation is super important. Thanks again!
Fantastic....great to see you curl it aswell....explaining everything along the way...brilliant
Ah, it's beautiful. My niece has this hair, naturally! So beautiful!!
I love watching hair clour transfomations .i ve been watching your videos since you started and i realy have to admit that i like what you do .you master every colour look beautifully and its so obvious that you like what you do .good luck
Also I'm following your chanel from the UK and you do things very differently but I like it because it gives me inspiration for colour techniques. Thank you
Goldwell is my favorite color line!! Goldwell Colorance is typically 2 parts Colorance lotion to one parts color. But when I do lowlights, I like to do 1 parts Colorance lotion to 1 part color. It gives perfect results!
Her hair looks gorgeous! Great job!
So good Lexi. U make me wanna go in the salon today and do this!!!!
Love this. Seamless and so beautiful. Work of art.
another video I'd be interested in is doing more for curly hair and previously box dyed hair. a lot of my clients are box dyed hair.
I’m a new hairdresser where can I purchase products please
That came out very nice. Good job 👍
Lexi your your work makes my heart and face smile! ,...oh and thank you for puting your formulations in you i nfo box, that makes it so much easier to see from client to client what a differenced hair thickness , base color and overall toner and outcomes one may achieve or strive for .Have a grteat day doll! P.S. i`m jealious too, I want it!LOLOL
Gorgeous result, thanks for sharing :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE ! Thank you for these videos they help sooo much ❤️
Lovely job!!! Thank you for sharing.
What is the board you’re using? I saw one that is perfectly rectangle. Which ones are best? I don’t want one that is curved at the top so it won’t. Crinkle the foil. Please help! Thanks!
So beautiful! ❤ love love love your videos!
love the video as always, may i ask how big your sections are
what's your opinion on highlights at the hairline. do you do them to the baby hairs or the section behind? I am obsessed with the balayage and baby lights meathod. I've been doing it for years like that and recently started doing the tease meathod. I'm liking it but it's kinda hard to know how the highlights will come out. I'd be interested in another video like that with more in depth about it. I've watched the few other ones you've made.
turned out amazing.
You are SO talented!!! Wish you were in Alabama!!! 😊
You're uber talented. Wish you could do my hair.
amazing as always, lex!!
Brilliant...thanks
That colour is beautiful 😍 the toner 👌
When you are doing colour corrections do you do clients during development time also or just dedicate the whole time slot to the one person? Does that make sense?
i don't double book because I find it makes me more stressed throughout my day.
Shades eq just came out with a cream developer for their gels
Once again....you’re AMAZING!!
Amazing! Love ur channel
Wow!! UMMMMAZEEE INNGGGGGG
Lighting wow doesn’t look the same at all. I like both but while your curling it looks sand beige and the after picture looks very light gold white Ash.. again I like both but straight vs curled to me looks like totally different color.
Gorgeous!!!!!!
So are you just weaving and slicing for low lights? And do you need to tease to blend for low lights or just with lightener? ☺️
Oh I love this so much
Hi lexi I love everything you do ,I will like to ask you what is the proses when you do a balayage and then a keratine.and Gad bless you
Great job!!!!
thats A.MA.ZING!! 😍
Love it !
Do my hair ! I’ve been looking for a stylist for so long
for sure! email me to schedule lexidawnmcc@gmail.com
Excellent
Beautiful ❤❤❤
can you tell me are you weaving and skipping or slice weaving skip
@lexi what makes the decision whether or not to use blue or violet lightener?
I don't usually pick the lightener for the tint it has I just go off which lightener works best. But I guess if you wanted to pick between colors use blue for darker (natural) hair and violet for lighter (natural) hair.
I'm trying to find out if it's okay for me to straighten curl my hair directly after bleaching or how do I go about it and what do I use.... could you please help me??!!!! thanks so much!! can you do a video about how to take care of bleached hair and what products are best etc. please and thank you for your help!👍
if your hair isn't damaged from bleaching it than you should be able to style it like normal.
Lexi Dawn awesome thanks for the answer. I'm also just wondering if I can go over the bleached hair from over a year ago now without breaking it and keep it long healthy. I know your not supposed to but since it's been over a year what do you suggest without seeing me. the rest is vergin. thanks KS again for your help.
danni pink you should look into going to a salon and get an olaplex treatment or get your color done professionally to avoid breakage ! Bleaching your hair at home is risky
I have bleached and toned my own highlights for years and I actually use redken ph bonder instead of opalex. I've just never gone full over blonde before. I do foils myself once a year and use a leave in and coconut oil and use curly girl shampoo and conditioner. I never straighten or blow-dry maybe twice a year and that's it. I'm just gathering all the informationI can before I do it especially when I have type 2c/3a hair and it's to my butt. but thanks for your concern. 😉
Wonderful work! Would you mind telling me if you know what % developer is in the box for Casting (L’oreal)? I’m trying to find a toner, but only have access to limited brands/products where I currently live and I believe the majority of box dye contains 20%. I just want to tone.. can box dye developer be diluted (conditioner or water) to make it less %? And.. if I mix equal parts of 2 colors , such as 10.1 and 6.0, do I get the result of 8.01/8.10? I can’t find any level 8 here! Thanks in advance
sorry but i don't know anything about loreal colors. especially box colors.
thanks for the video lexi please can you tell me if the lightner that you used with 20vol and the ph bonder is still a treu 20vol and not lower because of the ph bonder in it!thanks again for the video peace!!!!
yes it stays a 20vol
Lexi Dawn ok so how much does it take of the ph bonder inside the mixture to stay a 20vol
I love this colour to 😑
How would you transition this on someone who is platnium blonde?
Hi lexi you use 20 volume with the goldwell 9gb? And for the toner 10 volume?
I used 10vol for all goldwell colors I used and the SEQ toner they have their own processing solution
@@LexiDawnMcc is the root toner a completely different special product? Or is it just a slightly darker toner than you use on the rest of the hair? Thanks!
How long did it take you for the whole process?
about 2 hours
How much does that service cost ? If you don't mind me asking
Completely depends on where you live and how much hair you have. I had it done a year ago and it cost me $300 with tip, but I have a lot of hair.
Beautiful color
❤️❤️❤️
Just found your channel.... WOW
Where are you located
Indianapolis IN
What are lowlights exactly?
Darker color than the highlighted areas to give dimension
What does the teasing do
makes sure everything comes out super blended
