Just a pedantic point, the 6-32 X 1/2" screws are not "six thirty-seconds". The #6 is the shank diameter and the #32 is the thread pitch, (32 thds per inch) and of course the 1/2" is the shank length.

Did the 200A come from the factory with a "reed bar cover", too?

Is it necessary to replace the reedbar shields to install a replacement amp?

The 200 series never had reed-bar shields.. Adding them greatly reduces background noise and cancels out most RFi (radio frequency interference)
Mind you the airwaves of the world are much more loaded with signal compared to 50 years ago.. These make a difference atop the amp and shielding the transformer lines too..
