This version actually leaves something to be desired. The 2002 version on the 'Disasterpieces' DVD is one of the best versions. Better audio quality, more true to the album version, also period correct masks and outfits.
Best show I've ever been to right here, I got my ass kicked in that crowd and it was worth every second. Seen Slipknot 4 times and each time it has been amazing.
Now compare it to the 2002 ‘Disasterpieces DVD’ version. i think it’s called ‘Disasterpiece official live video’… quite better/different ;) btw you have 2019 on the title, it’s 2009 :)
@@TheIcpfan23 I’m referring to the name of the video so they can identify it easily, I know that there’s no ‘official live video’ but that’s how this user named his upload here ruclips.net/video/n7Zgz-8PsnA/видео.html
This Hass to be my favorite performance of this song everything down to the synchronized headbanging and yes I know most people would rather choose disasterpieces 2002 DVD but this era of Slipknot was my favorite due to the look, sound and masks
Slipknot's live show is PHENOMINAL there is no doubt, seen them live three times, and each time was an absolute blast. Calling them Broadway metal is interesting, they definately put a ton of effort and energy into the live performance there's no doubt, and they are true performance artists but in terms of Broadway metal I know there are more fitting bands. I'm not big into the style of metal that I am thinking of so I can't name any particular performances but I want to say Opeth, is very Broadway esque I will do a bit of research and we shall see if we can broaden your metal horizons a bit. Edit: nope actually it wasn't opeth I was looking for it was Nightwish- Ghost Love Score ruclips.net/video/JYjIlHWBAVo/видео.html Also in terms of pure stage performance I would have to Put Rammstein pretty much right alongside Slipknot, they are world renowned for their pyrotechnics, and their stage antics in general for one song Til Lindeman (lead singer for Rammstein) is on stage in a bloody butchers outfit, carrying these massive Knives, and eventually a giant Cauldron appears on stage, and inside of it is their Keyboardist, who Til then proceeds to "cook" by firing a flame thrower underneath the cauldron, which has pyrotechnic charges under neath that explode as he's cooking. I believe this is on the live performance for Mein Teil.
If you ever get the chance you guys should react to Type O Negative _ We Hate Everyone lyric version. It has a very interesting message about how political tribalism causes moral panics and robs us of a our individuality. It should provoke a very interesting discussion. Always enjoy your commentary .
@@dacian23 Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as for mine, 1999-2002 is when the energy and brutality was at its highest. The anger and insanity was all there.
"Hold on to something!!" My favourit song with slipknot when im in a bad mood
