Viva! Revived the indipop scene which was dying genre then. However, there were two occasions where the indipop genre was brought back into the mainstream One was during the 2002-03 period when Viva! Their first album and the second occasion was when Abhijeet Sawant(who had just won the Indian Idol) released his Junoon.

The band Viva! seemed like an Indian Version of Spice Girls. Unlike Spice Girls, they only success was their debut album. Although, their second was too good with songs like Chillake Chillake but once again they couldn't strike the chord with the audience. Like their indie contemporaries they soon faded into oblivion and went solo.
