If you are a real Potterhead, you have probably read some of the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling before the movies came out. This is how you had the chance to imagine what Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Albus Dumbledore, and Severus Snape looked like. And you know that the actors don’t look exactly the same in the movies. This is why we are showing you how the cast of Harry Potter should have really looked.
If you met the golden trio in the books, you probably noticed some mistakes in the movies. For example, Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter, doesn’t have green eyes and dark black hair. Emma Watson was also a little too beautiful for this role as she didn’t have large teeth. And the only thing that Rupert Grint, who plays Ron, was missing was some freckles.
Severus Snape was one of the most terrifying characters but also one of the men that we loved the most. In the books, he had greasy black hair, a hooked nose, and shallow skin. Even though Alan Rickman was much older than him, we didn’t think that any actor could have been better than him. After all this time, we will always remember him as one of the greatest men in the Harry Potter series.

Daniel Radcliffe's eyes didn't react well to the green contacts they gave him, that's why he had blue eyes.
Yeah, and they asked J. K. whether they needed to edit them in, and she said no, as long as Lily had the same eyes as Harry (which didn't happen R.I.P)

@@chirphy2697 It's not grammar police, it's mispronunciation, if you're going to make a video that claims to have some kind of insider secret about something with such a huge fan base, you need to get that kind of thing right. All it takes is watching the series once to hear the correct pronunciation, or even less, a quick youtube search. They couldn't even manage that much. And to add insult to injury, they got a lot of things wrong, the worst being Neville's house.

Okay listen here The Things. First if all you mispronounced many names wrong and I even noticed multiple spelling errors in some names and even subtitles. ALSO, Neville Longbottom was a Gryffindor in the book and in the movie. I feel virtually attacked. Next time if you can't pronounce someone name or get false information don't make a video about it and embarrass yourself. You need to check these kinds of things.

Hermione's teeth weren't reduced after a spell that went wrong. She was hexed by Malfoy, causing her teeth to grow. She then let Madam Pomfrey continue shrinking them until they were smaller than normal, irritating her dentist parents who wanted her to proceed with a brace.
Well, technically the phrasing is correct, there was a spell that went 'wrong', it was intended to hit Harry/Ron (I'm not sure on the spot), and afterwards the teeth were reduced.....but yeah, even if taken that way it's an extreme short cut and kind of stupid as a 'problem of actor choice' since the film still menages to make her 'suddenly stunning' without teeth reduction and if they actually had had an actress with Hermione's teeth it would have become a real problem to from part four on have and make her teeth shorter....I mean there's a reason her parents didn't just do this job...

4. Learn how to pronounce the names before you go bashing on the movies. If you played enough attention to the movies to know these physical differences, you should know how to say the names
5. Why is Alan Rickman being older a bad thing, he looked almost exactly like the picture in the book
6. Lavender changed race because the producers thought she should be black since the character's surname was Brown, but when Rowling realised this she told them that lavender was actually white and they changed it.
7. I'm surprised they didn't say anything about Crabbe's race change in the last movies

Josie Hartl That actually wasn't Crabbe in the last movie; it was another Slytherin named Blaise Zabini. Crabbe's actor was going through legal issues at the time and could not film, so they substituted him with Blaise and had Goyle die instead of Crabbe.
Whether Daniel had a reaction to the contacts or not the casting team should have found an actor that fit the right description. He is such an iconic character and his green eyes like his mothers are mentioned constantly through the books
Ellie Rainbows but the main point of that description is the fact that they’re like his mother’s not that they were green so really they should’ve just been more careful with the casting of young Lily Potter in the last movie and made sure her eyes matched Daniel’s because aside from eye color he is 100% spot on to what many readers would have been picturing

I have so many issues with this video, and I'm sorry in advance, I don't normally write hate comments. But you have completely butchered this! Neville in Ravenclaw? Dumbledore being a time travelling Dumbledore? Calling out the actors that played Harry and Voldemort for not being physically thin enough for their roles? The idiocy, typos and insults make it clear that someone who really didn't know what they were doing made this video, to which we all noticed, I understand why it has nearly half and half likes to dislikes. "that he thought that he didn't even belong in ravenclaw" clearly a mistake. Neville didn't kill the last horcrux because he was the "other chosen one" he was just a true gryffindor, and "was" a potential chosen one. Name pronunciations were off way to often. sirius black was described to be very handsome in his school days so it was only in book 3 that he looked ugly due to his time spend in prison. Harry's glasses were fixed by Arthur Weasley so it no longer needed tape... I can go one forever...
Kathleen Cauley and Jennifer Smith were casted as lavender brown for the the second and third movie. Kathleen Cauley was casted first. It is also fause that Rowling didn't describe her appearance. After Ron started dating Lavender J.K.Rowling started describing her appearance causing a need for a new actress. That is also why the character was changed from being portrayed by black actresses to being portrayed by a white one. Clearly the people who made this video even put in minimal effort into researching... Stop pretending to a be a fan.
