That BASS performance by Spanky Rigor is fantastic
Yes exactly
Yuuuup!
I think ita Roger Herrera mostly do the bass line for studio session, spanky is only doing for those videos.
It was either Roger Herrera or Chito Ilagan. Spanky was the "video" bassplayer.
Roger herrera. Spanky is for videos
This song is very well arranged. The bass line is the glue that hold the piece together. The synthesizer’s rhythmic insertion make it more melodic. The vocals complete the harmony that makes a complete song. The arranger of this song did a marvellous job. It’s great song indeed.
Joey de Leon composed this song
They're a gifted group. Full of talent and creativity

Galeng. Maski luma, ganda ng audio engineering, mixing, stereo separation at instruments combination. Parang master copy tunog.
remastered na to siguro.
Earth, wind and fire ng PINAS!
2020 and still rocking!!!
2021 And Still Rocking!! :D
2022 and still rocking!!!!

This finest Filipino musicians cannot be copy by anyone.. kudos to Spanky Rigor and the Sotto family
Isama mo na si Henyo Master Joey..
Rigor and Sotto brothers actually
Joey de leon the composer
eto yung times na talent is more important than looks.
Gabs Narazo hahaha yan ang pormahan ng pogi that time.
James reid: whut?
2021 na ngaun and ngaun ko lang naappreciate ang rich history ng band na to. kudos! i wished i lived in your time! more power! hope to see you live with Vic hihihi ❤️
My pinoy group band in the 70's, including Boyfriends, apo, Hotdog, Soul jugglers etc. the order doesnt mean one is greater than the other. I think Vic Sotto composed the lyrics and Joey for the melody. I really love all Vst songs aand TVJ songs.
Vic for thr melody and Joey for the lyrics.
Spanky Rigor's bass play was one of the main thing in VST & Co. hits songs. Love his bass plays
Mr Jun Regalado Drumming
Ung drummer sa music Video doesn't look like Mr Jun Regalado, I know he played all drums part on all vst and other OPM hits. That guy is a Legend
@@ozzy8791zig yes parang napansin ko rin
Kasi yung drum intro the rolling sa toms dito start from right to left
Pero yung napanood ko sa RUclips chanel ni Sir Jun Regalado drum rolling start from left to Right
pangdisplay lang si spanky na bahista. lol
@@endlesz15 maybe Roger Herrera is the recording bassist of the band
And Jun Regalado on drums
First time I've heard this fantastic pinoy disco music.
I.born 1982.. But I can compare songs before and now.. I.just lived it so.much"
The 70s - 90s was the best era of the Philippines because everyone acted so cool and you could do so many things back then and no one judged u, you could smoke or drink anywhere with ur friends and have fun, just enjoying being a teenager or adult without someone assuming your a criminal or an addict because back then it was socially accepted and people didn’t take much notice and not to mention it didn’t have so many rules. But unlike today too many judgemental Karens run society because of social media which created all those Karen who ruin almost anything and everything by sticky their beaky nose into everybody’s business recording everything to post online by being snitches just for fame and attention or creating small dramas into big dramas, creating never ending feuds because people bring up the past and never let it go. Social media created all this bullshit we have today. If social media wasn’t like is it today society would just leave people alone and mind their business and no one would judge or harass each other but because of social media, it literally changed how society behaves and it’s turning us into like robots who must follow rules or we are being judged for being or acting like a human. It’s scary.
It's that Chinese karen mentality seeping in our culture. Take it from a half tsinoy dude
That's the reality and it was so sad. Bilis magbago ng panahon😩😭
@@arabianongpinoy agreed. But also because of social media too.
@@jaymarkgtv1723 yep 😔
not gonna lie social media also contributed to a lot of good things in our society people became more aware of social issues that needed awareness and attention, but it has also it's a downfall as you said
Muchas gracias ❤
Muchas gracias señor
Im not Filipino now, by my lord this song is incredibly beautiful!
I mean, the production, the groove, the instrumentation, arrangement, musicality is stunning.
I need to know more about your band!
Remember that Disco is really a fusion of R&B, Funk and Classical music and you this is incredibly good!
My only thing with the band in the vid is that the drummer isnt doing 16ths!
Thank you for sharing!
Vst&co was compared to beegees in their oldtimes wayback🎶🕺🎵👈🎤
Si Tito sen main producer nila
Im happy that you appreciate our songs
@@mikeqto4056 ohhhhh bee gees are good too one of my favorite artist
Too bad mainstream radio killed music. OPM is now incapable of composing anything aside from rock which is also dying now and rap
Ika nga, they don't make this kind of music anymore.
I really love the songs of VST &Co. Songs which make me happy and reminisce our high school days
music of the 70's are the best...people who love music of the 70's has the finest taste in music...
I agree with you mam, 100%. 👍
I guess kanya-kanyang era lang yan. '50s had the king of rock, the swinging '60s had motown and Fab 4 (beatles)
While the new wave scene and hair metal/glam rock of the '80s, and alternative/grunge and (local) band renaissance of the '90s were pretty awesome as well
Am sure the kids of 2000s/2010s have their own remarkable music to tell
👍
Agree 💯
jus ko 70's na 70's hehehe ... mga hair styles nila at pati na mga pananamit hahaha ... and the car... hahaha remembering my high school days tong vid na to.. thanks for shairng.
Juskolord youtube recommended this to me and I like it so much! I would play this song all day and dance to it all day! If I am musician, a bass player, I would love to enjoy playing this song all day and night! I am not born to their era but you know they did a marvelous job to this song arrangement! Whoever the bass player in this band, you made me get addicted to this song! That was solid! 😍

My fave vst/bossing song.
Parang could we vs muli ni gary v
Old but gold
Anyone from 2019?!🤣
Yep
Spanky Rigor was a fantastic bass player.
+Leo Cagape i totally agree!!!
👍👍👍

True!! Listen to that bass line. Damn!!!

Love the baseline in the 70's
this song ,an arrangement ,a work of genius, superbly among world's best
Jonathan Tejada A combination of Vic Sotto and Joey DeLeon would always produce classics like this..

I really apreciate this kind of music i love it so much,I never even got tired of playing all of these..
This music takes me back to all those formal dinner parties in NJ-- with the line dances and people just having a great time. Love from Philly
Fantástica música!
Relieving my childhood years. Grew up with these kind of tune. Good time.
pamatay yung galawan nung naka green na two piece e
I missed this era. Left Pinas in 1974 😞 l love that year and all the hit songs of Beatles, Bee Gees, Association James Taylor, and many more best singers and best artists during that time. I wish I can turn the clock back.
I may not be able to go back in time but I’m glad I was able to see, experience and enjoy 70s and 80s best ever, the 90s it depends but the millenium I have no further comment. Not to forget that awesome 60s music. Music-wise as I speak.
What a day that was... Very memorable... I miss them so much.. 😞💕🤗
The group rose to fame with other bands that were grouped under the Manila Sound genre, such as Hotdog, Cinderella and The Boyfriends. VST & Co. eventually faded from popularity when OPM (Original Pilipino Music), a new musical genre, emerged and rose to prominence in the late 1970s.

Where's my time machine? I need to be at this party.
same.
This was i think a clip from a 1978 TVJ movie "Swing it Baby" featuring Romeo Vasquez & Vilma Santos. TVJ play as Romeo's assisstants, kaya hindi natin makikita si bossing sa banda. it is the same movie where the trio sang their version of "Voltes 5".
I love the song. Very classic 👏👏👏

Philippines in 70's
1. Low Crime Rate
2. 2nd to japan in economic development
3. The Peso-Dollar rate was almost 2 is to 1
4. High Standard of Living
5. Good Music
6. Martial law
+parotpalan I don't believe in that, we had no electricity then in my place, roads and bridges were bad,not cemented, lots of youth were jobless, the difference today is the country got more populated, more disasters and worse weather conditions.
agree
+parotpalan a simple research will prove that most of what you said are wrong. 2 pesos to 1 dollar rate, panahon pa ni Macapagal yan eh. 2nd to japan, same din, panahon ni Macapagal. Good music? I might agree to that pero subjective yan. Low crime rate? siguro kasi mababa pa populasyon. Not because pinaalis ang mga Marcos.
I remember in 1984 when my Uncle was working abroad the exchange rate was between 13-15pesos per dollar, that was during marcos time.
This is not OPM. The music of VST & Co. belongs to the "Manila Sound" genre.
OPM and Manila sound are separate entities.
Manila Sound is part of Original Pilipino Music.
Wala kaming pakialam
