Sherman Oaks is a neighborhood in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, California, founded in 1927. The neighborhood includes a portion of the Santa Monica Mountains, which gives Sherman Oaks a lower population density than some other areas in Los Angeles. 1991, a group of homeowners living in the Chandler Estates area successfully petitioned former Los Angeles City Councilmember Zev Yaroslavsky to re-draw the boundaries of Sherman Oaks from Magnolia to Burbank Blvd to the north, and from Coldwater Canyon to Van Nuys Blvd to the west, with the goal of including their neighborhood. This request was not anything new to the San Fernando Valley; other neighborhoods had either sought to change their names, or sought to attach themselves onto more affluent neighborhoods to escape from what they saw as growing urban blight and the collapse of their social status. Residents in the area argued, however, that the area was originally part of Sherman Oaks, but was labeled Van Nuys instead through the creation of ZIP codes in 1962; some residents were able to produce a few property deeds to present their case.Just a few weeks after the Chandler Estates area successfully seceded from Van Nuys, Magnolia Woods, a 45 block area bordered by Van Nuys Boulevard on the east and the San Diego Freeway on the west, and between Burbank and Magnolia Boulevards, also successfully petitioned Los Angeles City council member Marvin Braude to secede from Van Nuys and join Sherman Oaks. Petitioners in the area argued that their neighborhood was also part of Sherman Oaks, though they were only able to produce 22 deeds showing so. As a result of this change, Van Nuys Middle School became separated from its namesake neighborhood.

"If I win the Champions League, you stop alcohol and drugs!"
As well as being one of the greatest footballers in history. Cristiano Ronaldo puts a lot of importance on his family. The Portuguese star is extremely close to his oldest brother, Hugo. He even saved his big brother's life!
In 2014, Hugo was going through a very difficult period. Teetering on the edge, his day to day life was impacted by the alcohol and drugs he was taking. His life was clearly in danger.
Not able to cope seeing his brother in such a state, CR7 decided to act. He made a deal with him, if he wins the Champions League, Hugo has to definitively give up alcohol and drugs. A huge challenge for the two men and an extra pressure for Cristiano, who wasn't just trying to win the competition for himself but for the good of his brother.
But you know what Ronaldo does to pressure, he turns it into a form of motivation! That year, the Portuguese star won the Champions League with Real Madrid following an intense game against Atlético. At the end of the match, CR7 ran up to his brother and hugged him, whispering to him: "Now it's your turn."
Hugo also kept his promise and no longer drinks alcohol or takes drugs. His brother even paid for his treatment. On that day, the younger brother became an inspiration for his older brother.

This man can sell ice to an eskimo. I love how he pays attention to detail and elaborates on how small, particular details can benefit in major ways. Or he will open your eyes in other ways. For example, he pointed out the wooden cladding just above the outside of the sliding doors, underneath the balcony. He said, if they paid this much attention underneath the balcony, they really paid attention to the entire development. Eye opener. Which is great, because we sometimes tend to notice the important details when it's too late. This guy is great. His cameraman needs to remember to show us what's down low when he makes mention of and points out things that are out of the cameras view.

I have to tell you how much I appreciate how much detail you provide us as you tour the home. Another great thing that I did not know was how much I appreciate, is your language. Your professionalism in not using even mild profanity. Until I heard it on several different (other channels) is so not necessary, so a big THANK YOU!

What I really appreciate about your tours, is that you properly take the time to notice and point out all the details. So many others who do these online tours, just race through the videos and just highlight the craziest features. But with these houses, there are so many finer details (which is one of the reasons why they come with the price tag they do).
