I met Chris at a small club in Marin County a few years back and I have to say he was one of the kindest and most gracious people I have ever met. And you can see it here -- 0 ego. He is so happy to be rooting on as Delgado takes a blistering solo, enjoying it more than the audience even. He is also the baddest bluesman I have ever witnessed. A 100% authentic and mature artist. He BELIEVES every note he plays and every lyric he sings. A national treasure.
This Cain is a legend plays like a legend, he can mix his style with Albert king and some bits a BBking its old school playing I can't understand how this guy is not projected to the top in pair with all legends, his playing is addictive. God bless you.
Good question Tim Nelson. I would think a person of his talent would have been on there long age. I guess these days it’s more about popularity than talent.
Had the pleasure of seeing Chris perform this weekend.. Got to meet him too, he was so kind and humble and truly grateful we made it out to the show. Genuinely a great man who can rip a guitar and sing a mean note... best show I've been to in awhile, I was mesmerized. His new album Raisin Cain is a straight bop.
Chris plays with what they give him haha the came to my town 4 times (salto, bs as, Argentina) came last time with a dot epiphone and in the bar I plug it in a frontman 100 ... he ripped our brains out everyone. that day he finished the tour to go to the bonamassa cruise and that day he give the epiphone to a friend of the representative ... incredible man
Had the good fortune to see both of these masters play with their respective bands at The Poor House Bistro in San Jose on more than one occasion, and they are always great shows. Ive got to say though, Chris's comping during Joey's solo is sooooooo tasty.
I thought I was the only one yelling Chris's name. I believe pound for pound hes one of the best living blues men out there,a lot of people dont know it but hes also a MONSTER on the keyboard too! My favorite for most of my life has been Johnny Winter and when he passed I started searching more and two guys really popped onto my radar WALTER TROUT AND CHRIS CAIN and between those two I became so impressed with those long finger slides even give his rhythm play that smooth lead sound,of course theres always Schofield,Fletcher,Kingfish etc. Thank you God for choices!
Chris is a real man ! Let Joey do his thing and shine ! We all know Chris got nothing to prove he is one of the baddest blues guitarist ever .....Awsomm playing the band is just blues to the core great players !
I'm occasionally practicing this solo by Chris for a year now and still can't match his absolute crazy dynamics...so much detail and expression in his technique it's mental. And ofc there's so much to learn from his creative usage of diatonic and melodic minor super impositions. Definitely a G.O.A.T. imo
I live in Chicago and sometimes I get spoiled but this man is a treat. He is my new favorite! He can come stay at my place for free if he lets me hang out with him and take him to blues bars like we are buddies! Call me Chris! I am god photography on Instagram. And that Guy Johnny ain’t no joke! Who is Johnny? I think they said that in the 80s. Who is Johnny? He’s right up there with him!
got a trouble making woman she does me wrong all day long. my trouble making woman is mean from dusk till dawn. i warn you baby one of these days i'll be up and gone. fire coming from her eyes. and nails as sharp as knives.
I was just wondering to myself if anybodys seen his organ player get up and get lose before? I saw him get up and blow some of the meanest, rawest blues harp I've ever seen on one video the whole time chris molested that keyboard until its underwear wouldnt fit right anymore!
Some of the SWEETEST MOST SOULFUL GUITAR PLAYING THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD...!😮😊

Why in God’s name isn’t Chris on Austin City Limits soon? Best of the best American blues today, period.
Good question Tim Nelson. I would think a person of his talent would have been on there long age. I guess these days it’s more about popularity than talent.

Love it! The band is great letting the guitar players wail.. but it's a very great wailing.

Both damn fine players, and probably damn fine people too. Chris startled him there at the beginning lol

Delgado's style reminds me of my personal favourite Matt Schofield VERY much..
I didnt see it but yes you're right.
Man, I like his 335 sound wow, but he is so damn smooth on that Les Paul

Nice touch!
Chris Caín The Great
awesome
Listen to that bass
Troublemakers help you appreciate good people better. :)
Wow, real blues players! No TMFN(too many effing notes) for these guys, just great feeling. Nice.
yaaaaa démentiel !
Love when Chris breaks out the Lester
ooo, that wuz a good one
Wonder why CC ditched the 335. He sounded larger than life on that axe!
Todd Hooper: He didn’t. Elects to pull out the flamy LP from time to time, which a late friend purchased for him in the South Bay.
I bet he wakes up that same way larger than life,I heard him play a borrowed strat so hard I thought it was gonna catch fire while he was holding it
Joey OMG
♥♥♥
got a trouble making woman she does me wrong all day long.
my trouble making woman is mean from dusk till dawn.
i warn you baby one of these days i'll be up and gone.
fire coming from her eyes.
and nails as sharp as knives.
Delgado has great feeling, touch and chops. Certainly a worthy accompanist to Chris Cain, to put it too mildly.
Chris sounds like John mayall and the bloke that did reet petite.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet
The 13 dislikes must be trouble making women!
Do you happen to know if the bass player played in Chicago many years ago and in Dayton Ohio ?? Snapper was a name he may of went by?
No his name is Michael Be Holden, he’s from Philadelphia.

What 14 non-musical nimrods gave this video a thumbs down?
I was just wondering to myself if anybodys seen his organ player get up and get lose before? I saw him get up and blow some of the meanest, rawest blues harp I've ever seen on one video the whole time chris molested that keyboard until its underwear wouldnt fit right anymore!
LOL.
Imitate BB king without reaching him
Wow! BB King died and came back to earth as a white guy.
9:27 they all congratulate him for not having a heart attack on stage
