I have installed a Woodman infotainment system in my wrv Honda costing about 16500 bucks and doing well. There is no steering wheel support for phone or voice commands. I'm happy with it. U have done a great search on infotainment systems. Appreciation for the video.

Good video. I liked it. One information for you is that yesterday I went to the Honda Showroom and saw that Honda has launched a new AVN system of 10 inch. They said to completely replace the unit along with rear parking camera will cost 35k for the BRV. It has Android auto and Apple car play. I found it quite good and reasonably priced.
Thats good news. Can you confirm what brand it is and are they ready to replace for all cars like WRV or City or is it just for BRV?
@@traveltechyoutube They said it is Honda's own brand. Yes, they said it can be replaced on all of WRV, City, etc. BRV has the same AVN system as WRV and City. I asked him specifically that mine is a 7 inch system, will it be possible to replace with a 10 inch one ? They said it is possible and they will change the entire front panel not only the unit. Also, the rear view camera needs to be replaced, but I didn't ask about the specification like RAM, etc. It is an Android based system. I will check with them once I visit them again and keep you posted.

You have given a very accurate information. I have installed Wooden for 34k for my Jazz. It doesn't support the phone controls. Otherwise it is an excellent product.

@@traveltechyoutube Almost an year I am using the Woodman. There's no issue till date. But I want to add that any of the machanics or installers don't have this idea or details about like the phone controls don't work for Honda cars. Even the manufacturers of Woodman don't have any idea about it.

Hi TravelTech, Due to recently my stock DIN started issue in touchscreen as many of users having, After watching this video I have recently replaced it with Woodman Spectra 2k in my Honda City VX 2017 model and as you described it works flawlessly but sound quality is very bad. Tried too much time configuring sound settings still no luck. Please guide me what to do and why I am having this issue?
You should try replacing the stock speakers and also get a compact subwoofer unit. The output quality is just average with the stock speakers.
Please suggest a AVN System for 3rd Gen 2011 Honda City. Screen & Voice Quality are top priority.
Hello Dear, thanks for the informative vdo. I am having Honda city 2017 model in Navi Mumbai. Though Digipad is working fairly well, I noticed several vertical coloured lines on both side of screen and also some liquid type watery contents inside.
What can be solution to correct this. Honda dealer is helpless.

Due to bad quality of digipad, the display issue of watery bubbles and coloured lines is very common. Since your car is probably out of warranty, there is no other solution other than removing rhe Digipad and installing a newer Android system. Digipad is outdated. Forget it and move on.

Both are good, but I found the Woodman unit to have better UI and ease of operation.

There are issue with my digipad 1.0 and it was under warranty when I reported. But Honda responses are pathetic and they are not replacing it. Finally someone from Honda offer to replace digipad 1.0 with digipad 2 for 48K. Is it worth?
No
For 48K?? Not worth at all. Do not waste your hard earned money for another digipad. I would recommend that you buy a Sony AX8000 for about less than 35K. Or you can go with Woodman Xtreme for 25K. They offer better value for money.
I fighted and got Digipad 2 which is from Alpine. It's awesome and works flawlessly. Sound output is great with good bass even better than Digipad 1. They even replaced the HDMI port with usb port as in bs6 honda city, panel for same was in the kit. They agreed for 75:25 cost sharing basis and hence I had to pay 10 k but worth for it.

Where did you get it installed? Take it back and get the system rechecked again. As far as I know, push start button is not directly connected to android system wiring.

You will get local systems for less than 10K, but they will be of low quality and will not last long.
I am planning to buy Woodman play. Will a 2gb/16gb version be sufficient?
For very little usage, it will be sufficient. But for using Google Maps, and playing Spotify/Music simultaneously without any lag it is better to have a 4GB RAM unit. Device startup will also be faster. A 2GB unit will be fast in the beginning, but with usage and time it will get slower and hang.

I think it is over priced. Also the screen size is only 7 inches. Although the product is good, its not value for money.

All android AVN system are similar. Just different company names. Even in Hypersonic, call recieve/disconnect button and voice control button will not work. Rest everything will work. Reverse cam will work with extra coupler. One usb port below dashboard will work.

Digipad is from PSS which is from Blaupunkt. So Blaupunkt should work fine.

Please do NOT try WoodMan stereo... They do not give any support outside Delhi.. very bad they claim tall for gold 2 stereo after I complained with link to video saying the said features are not working!! They took 2 months and many follow ups to send me back my device and they deleted the video for the device explanation.... Now they're saying these are not supported!!! It's basically china product re-branded as Woodman... So be careful
